does any one can help me to root the huawei gr5 2017.
i try to search the method but i couldn't find it... the spesification is same with huawei honor 6x, but the firmware isn't same.

goto honor website, sign in, fill in the details, get unlock code, unlock bootloader, flash twrp, then supersu

Hi,
You can root after unlocking bootloader. The instructions are the same honor 6x that you have been founded in Honor 6x threads. Confirmed and proved by myself. It can work well after rooting my GR5 2017 since 6th Jan 2017.
For installing Xposed Framework, Use arm64 Version 87 official. It talk a long booting at the first time and it can work fine for my GR5 2017.
For download Xposed installer material design ( apk file ) has be found in XDA Android threads

**Magisk installer can run on GR5 2017 too which version 10.2 but after installation it will loose fingerprint from your device.

This forum is not for the GR3 2017 so i would suggest going to a forum such as the Honor 6X because it has the same CPU so the method of rooting is likely to be very similar if not the same.

Go to the P8 Lite section. The P9 Lite 2017 and the P8 Lite 2017 are 100% when it comes to hardware. They even have the same Model No.! So, if you ever need help or anything, go ever to the P8 Lite 2017 section, they are more populated. You can find LineageOS in the P8 Lite Development section.
