issues with Verizon and network mode on Resurrection remix rom - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

I have an issue where I can not receive calls or text messaging but I have full 4g LTE coverage when I am on the network mode Global, and have to put it to network mode LTE. I was told Global is preferred though. So how can I fix this. I can also go from LTE to global and myself phone works for a little bit but not long.

Did you install the vendor that it asked you to. Because I'm on RR and I have Verizon and I have no problems.

Hey did you flash the 6/23 build Dev had me post in the RR thread. it's one of the last post. because he had to leave town didn't have time. It's a test version but it's the same build as the XL official

You can do it after. Sometimes I do it before. Don't think it really matters. As long as u use the one it calls for. So if your not sure do it after. I think it was b but I'm not positive

Yes you will get it. If you don't get the vendor mismatch your most likely on the right vendor

Sweet thanks! That worked like a charm. At least as of right now. I forced a vendor update on both slots then upgraded to the experimental version and it seems to work good.

Modem firmware question

.Are there any way to clue out which modem firmware that should work correct on the European version of OPO on Lineage os 7.1?
My phone only works well if I have LTE, on 3g and 3g plus it only works a few times, sometimes I cant call or people cant call to my phone.

The only way to know which firmware is best for you is to flash one by one and prefer which one gives you better results.

Maybe the OPO doesn't support the wcdma band that your carrier works on.

No, same as before.

Issues with 3g on my one plus one and installing a new rom doesn't seem to solve it.

I am in dominicam republic. We had two hurricane last month and after that my 3g is not working properly. Although 2g and LTE work flawlesly. I changed roms from sultan 7.1.2 and RR 7.1.2, still the same.

I wonder why they pulled it then? So you had it on 7.1 and then gone with 8.1 ? That's quite odd and I wonder if there is a Vodafone thread somewhere that explains it.
edit: quick search shows you're not the only one. Someone suggested the sim, someone else flashed back to 7.1 and then upgraded to 8.1 again and it was there. Very weird. I might try the sim route if you can get another one easily before I started flashing stuff.
I never used 7.1

I did some searching on this. Everything I found on it shows that the Pixel isn't supported for VoLTE yet. It also seems to be dependent on which country you're in.

That's probably the reason, thanks
Carrier dependent isn't it?

Yeah, I'm kinda wondering that myself. Normally I start seeing screenshots all over the place. Nothing yet. I guess I lucked out getting my April update on the 4th, which was super weird since I NEVER get them right on the 5th.

Whats the difference between the OPM2.171019.029.B1 and the OPM4.171019.016.B1 build?

.029 is actually listed on Verizon's site, but they've had unified builds in the past, so I don't know that it's Verizon specific.

Twrp and magisk still work.

I'm in the UK and just had .029 pushed to my phone.
I just got it via OTA. No more multi-touch bug

I could not find anything that explained the difference there. I'm on an unlocked Verizon P2 and need to make absolutely sure I flash the correct update, so I don't screw things up and lose root and twrp.
OPM2.171019.029.B1 is for normal builds, OPM4.171019.016.B1 is for Telus and Koodo

Actually, I'm not so sure about that anymore, since it clearly says that OPM4.171019.016.B1 is for "Fi Carriers". How do we know "Fi Carriers" doesn't simply mean anyone on Project Fi? In Dec 2017, OPM2 was "Telus Only" and then in Jan 2018 it was "Verizon".

It didn't clarify that earlier today, so that's where this all started.
Right and in the US, Project Fi is T-Mobile/Sprint/and US Cellular with network switching. So do we just close our eyes and pick one? I mean who knows at this point. I sideloaded to OPM4 from last month's OPM2 because I'm on Fi and I dont notice much of a difference in coverage. Then there is a guy on Reddit, on Telus, who said he was on OPM4 last month and was OTA flashed to OPM2.
OPM4 is all canadian Fi stuff (Volte+wifi) https://mobilesyrup.com/2018/02/23/koodo-telus-offer-carrier-services-integrated-google-assistant...
OPM2 is all others... I am US on Project Fi and running OPM2 fine. The build is essentially the same with those carrier specific changes.

T-Mobile variant clarification

After reading a few threads, it would seem that there is an msmtool for the tmobile variant now but still no method for root? I'm not counting the method to convert to international version.
Do I have this all correct or am I missing something?

The T-Mobile MSM tool is to revert back to the T-Mobile firmware. If you use the MSM tool to convert from the T-Mobile version to the international version, you can root but you must be SIM unlocked prior to converting to the international version.

Right I had mentioned that in my post, but I'm a little apprehensive to try it because I don't want to have issues with lte or wifi calling.
Is there no way to just root on my stock rom? I kinda just want a custom kernel and themes.

There are no issues what do ever with LTE of Wi-Fi Calling. They work great. The newest update for the Global/International version fixed the issue some had with Wi-Fi calling not switching over fast enough.
