Hi there,
I'm on B389 rooted, unlocked with TWRP since I updated 2weeks ago.
Today I discovered wandering in Titanium that my System WebView app is under hibernation and I'm not able to restore it, nor from TB or PlayStore.
Wat could have caused it? Would prefer not to factory reset if possible
Thanks in advance

It's Hybernated by the system so you won't be able to enable it. They have put it in hybernation 'cause there is already the WebView provided by Google chrome.
By the way I have a question too: Why there are 3 different keyboards? SwiftKey, GBoard and Huawei keyboard?

I'd like to answer "SPAM", I'm using just Gkeyboard, so from TB I uninstalled or freezer everything
So, it's doesn't matter at all, even for all the other apps which can use external browser?

Why did Huawei put it though if we are supposed to use the one from Chrome? It's just a waste of space.

Does someone knows if an application like this exist or would like someone develope this type of app? im not a developer and i have no time to learn to.
Android application that alert when a non installed paid application is updated on market.
An other possible feature is a list of all installed app with sort for update date (on market) for each app, so we can sort and which app has not been updated since ages and maybe find a substitute.
thanks in advance.

I'm aslo searching for this.
For the moment, only apps with price updated have application to follow them (appsales, appbrain...)
I have many apps uninstalled because buggy and i will like to know when there is an update.

You only have to add it manually once, after that its smooth sailing. Limitations in accessing play store is the cause of this. If an app is not installed, this app will not have any clue that you need to query for it. This is a limitation of any system and there is no possible work around, no matter how brilliant the developer might be.

Most likely it is because the frequency bandwidth is hardcoded in the app, india and europe have different frequencies, you should check if someone in india has a gf2 variant with fm radio.
Or you can try SpiritFM2: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fm.a2d.s2 I'm not sure it is compatible with our phone but it is the only alaternative.
Hello,
I had Huawei GR5, there was Swype for Huawei keyboard pre-installed.
I bought a new mobile ( Huawei GR3 2017 ) and found only Gboard !
I thought Swype for Huawei keyboard comes with all Huawei mobiles, Am I wrong ?
If there should be the keyboard, Why I can't find it ?
If the mobile doesn't come with it, Can I take the APK from another Huawei phone ( GR5 ) and it will be compatible with GR3 2017 ?
Gboard is better I also using it

I liked Swype more than Gboard.
My question is, Does the phone really don't come with Swype Keyboard ? Or I'm missing something in the settings or I should do factory reset or something else ?

It got removed for me after updating. This is happening on plenty of users.
it should be by default. if not, a factory reset or settings-apps-3 dots, reset app preference may bring it back again.
or can install from - https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/themes/huawei-swype-apk-t3489898
i just backed up it on EMUI 5- https://mega.nz/#!6FVB0SiR!wZmxHiKIwRsayHITLhLwdarfv-GoGXyRAx1pWe36baE
Hello,
I'm an ancient user of xda since my first smartphone, a Samsung galaxy next and from that phone, i had some others smartphone, but never a flagship killer like 1+6.
Today i will receive version 6/64 A6000 and I'm so excited to begin with the modding, unlocking bl and installing a twrp to try the magisk module xxx no limits, because i would like to remain stock for the beginning but with a root access and some other stuff from that magisk module.
I would like to ask you if, in your opinion, it's necessary to wait some days and then to start with the modding or if you have some other tips to recommend to me before to start and brick my phone, for exemple update the phone with the latest firmware available and then unlock the bl.
Thank you for your time!
Well.. The only tio i have is to do what 70% of the people dont do.. Read the guides in the forum before you start. Other than that, go for it. In my experience oos is really good.. Betas are good from time to time.. Sometimes crap aswell.
Best rom i've tried is omni if you wanna go custom. But this is not necessary.
The a/b noob guide is a good lesson to have.
And then you can read the entire guide of "unlock bootloader, custom recovery, root, nandroid backup" before you start..
I'm not completely noob, i did modding for each smartphone i have had, so I'm familiar with unlock bl, twrp and adb commands. I already read the guide for oneplus 6 to be sure to have all the necessary to proceed.
Inviato dal mio Redmi 4 utilizzando Tapatalk
I read in some threads that there is no official twrp for oos 9.0?
So, in case I will found my phone already with Android pie, which twrp i can install?

I'm using black atm(because it looks sick), used blu_spark before that. Both worked fine with pie.
edit: download(and unpack) msmtool, just in case!
most stuff comes with good enough instructions, reading those and this thread has done me well so far
I always unlock first because it wipes your data and that can be a pita if you have already set up most thinks. I can't live without titanium, magisk (root) and xposed so for me it's clear: every device gets unlocked and rooted the moment I grab it.
I'm still on stock but with xXx magisk mod to debloat most stuff from google and op.

Yeah.. Most people having issues are also people that are used to modding and what not.. They just don't understand a/b slots

I forgot to mention I am still on oreo and will remain there. I don't see any reason to waste a stable system for some google beta testground. The first issues I heard had to do with volume sliders. I thought Google learned their lesson with android 5 but yet they play around those settings again.

If you have particular mods you want to use, check to see if they're working on Pie yet before you install them. xXx NoLimits should work fine on Pie. But some other things may not yet be compatible.
I'm waiting for an update or two with Pie before transitioning out of Oreo, at least on this device. xXx NoLimits is very worthwhile for debloating and a few other things, so your impulse to install it will probably work for you. I've been using it since I got this phone.
I did it! Yesterday I unlocked the bl, installed twrp and magisk module xxx and all works well.
I just noticed some lags when scrolling in recent apps specially compared to the oneplus 8/128 completely stock. And this is a little bit annoying. Anyone had the same lags? Maybe it is possible to deactivate some ram optimisation from xxx module without flashing it again?

Why not flash again? Just change the ram optimization in profile and flash it again. Only this will change.

Disable the module from Magisk and then reboot. See if this solves the issue or not.
For me personally I did a dirty flash to pie and it was acting weird. I had to do a factory reset and it started working a lot more smoother after. This was before even installing xXx
Hey everyone,
did someone try the gravity box xposed module?
Does it cause system UI crashes as it does one the ROG phone? Given that the Zenfone 6 has a pretty stock android UI it should be much better compatible.
Kind regards
I have installed it successfully using edexposed (yahfa). So far i have no problems with the small changes i made.

Just follow the rooting guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-6-2019/how-to/guide-how-to-root-asus-zenfone-6-twrp-t3940168
It is pretty simple. Find out the firmware version you have, download the patched boot image for your version from the guide. Enable developer options > usb debugging and flash the downloaded boot image using fastboot as described in the guide.

I've tested it myself now. Works surprisingly well with many different options.
The only ones not working so far are the lower 5 options in the customize quick settings menu and the centered clock which is a really pity as I love those functions.
