So, there are plenty of new apps about notifications and even more with the new Android L notification system....bad thing is most of them are for Android 4.3 and up....so well, this is an app i made for my own compatible from Android 2.2 and up.
Its Notification Center, something like the Android L notifications....but worst of course xDDDDDD its in beta stage and willing to improve if you like it!!
Its easy to use and simple, not much configuration needed, all is in the main screen (design is beta) if anyone wants to improve the icon, i will thanks him inside app.
More or less these are the features (actually this is the description from google play)
****Version 1.0.3****
- Fix longclikc and click in the notification center view
- Fix button settings not working. Now you can activate turn screen on when notification arrives.
**Beta Version**
Your notifications will pop up over any window, you can even make it turn screen on to show it.
You can also display a notification center with a history of all notifications, expand them, launch them, block or delete them.

Is the Sony smartwatch 2 worth it at $85?
Yes. Next question.
Yes.
compared to what?
u8?
pebble?
AW watches?
the u8 is cheap but crap
-screen unreadable outside
-crappy companion app
-screen is off in standby
-only 4 boring watchfaces
-hardly any firmware development
-must have phone or audio connection to phone, can't connect otherwise
the pebble is nice
-has a lot of support, both in firmware and 3rd party apps
-good companion app
-long lasting battery
-lots of watchfaces
i just don't like the design of the pebble, nor do i like the e-ink screen
the AW watches look nice, but AW hasn't evolved enough yet
and those watches are quite a bit more expensive
is the sw2 worth it?
i say yes:
-screen always on
-very readable in direct sunlight
-3rd party apps and watchfaces
-even though it's not high-res, it has a nice color screen
-good notification support, including filtered content from facebook and twitter
-battery life is pretty decent, about 3 days
-doesn't look as cheap as the pebble or u8
only wishes i have for the sw2 are native whatsapp support and a selectable screen timeout
hope this helps

This doesn't allow you to clear phone notifications from your watch though, is that right?
Also, I don't think it has a watchface widget?

No idea, neither are things I would look for in the app that forwards notifications.

So that means you have to clear notifications once on the watch and then again on the phone....
Not that I have a better way to propose. Watchify should be, but unfortunately doesn't work reliably and the developer is AWOL.

I never bother to clear notifications on the watch. They are there as a heads-up, but want them to stay on the phone anyway for when I actually deal with them.

With watchify (when it works) I see the phone notification icons on my watchface, so I can be sure not to miss a text message for very long fir example, even if I happen to miss the watch vibrating.

How do you miss it, it's on your wrist! Anyway, lots of watch faces allow you to add notifications if that's your thing, glad you have one that suits you.

I don't have one that suits me, that's the problem, watchify is too unreliable.....
I'd be very happy if you can point me to alternatives but as far as I know they don't exist!
watchify doesn't have a content filter does it?
i only want Tweets from certain people on my watch
i have the Sony smart extension for Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Sms and Call handling
for Hangouts this one
for Whatsapp an app that's no longer in the play store, still hoping for a native version by Sony
JJW has pretty nice collection of watchfaces as well
Use "Notify Smartwatch" instead. It has widget, font size control, clears phone notification when cleared on watch and content filtering!

I tried that before.
I think a smartwatch should show notification icons on the watchface, same as you see in the notification bar on your phone, whatever you're doing on the phone. So just the icons. Then I can see if there's anything I need to action or clear.
Notify Smartwatch just shows the latest notification in the widget, same as with Sony's widget. It doesn't show all the notification icons.

hi guys
thanks to walther first up for the whole sdb business, lucky enough to just click on the run on device button and then its on my watch
my issue is that i really like the weather app (i know lame)
but the issue is that there isnt a weather app option
then i noticed the schedule link is only to the calender but not to the agenda like appearance you can choose as a widget
wanting to know if anyone knows a work around for these type of things
namely, how would i push the weather detail to the text box
and/or the app id ( under action, action detail custom) for the calender widget
and thus how do i even find app ids
sorry it might be stupid but i got one arm (post OT) and bored and wanting to learn ...
thanks
I'm wondering about adding weather and calendar info to the watch screen with gear watch designer as well. I was thinking if you could create a dummy text box and then import the project into the full sdk it might be doable. Anyone know if this is possible?
I would like to create an action that leads me directly to settings > communication > bluetooth option like a shortcut from the watch face. It would be great if watch designer has some place to code small scripts like query data from apps and present the info as complications! Like get weather data from weather app or even query the web through Gear manager app to get data and present.
APP ID
Does anyone know´s what i have to wirte there for open an app like Task2s or another?

how does one find the app id for a non samsung app?
messing around with animations...
can anyone share how to add a condition for an animation?
for example i want a pinwheel sequence to rotate when there is a notification. the samsung tutorial tells you that it can be done but doesn't show the steps to set the condition. step 3 in Add Animations: "Smart components let you associate additional actions with objects. You can specify actions based on conditions."

Look in this directory on your phone:
data\data\com.samsung.android.gearoplugin\files\hmBackup\SM-R720\SM-R720
Looks like the App Icon name is also the app ID.

I made a watchFace with a taskS2 shortcut. You just need to ask the app ID to the developper and enter it in GWD.
For TaskS2, (Thanks to tipztv) the App ID he give me is : IqiNB2jKne.TaskS2
Hi GUys
Real simple question and I wish i knew the answer... How do I Import a watchface my friend has created for me using the gear watchface maker?
He has sent me the .tpk file but how do I get this installed on my gear s2?
With my howarewe watch i could simply send the wtachface through watchmaker pro app but dont know how to do this for the gear s2?
Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Many thanks
Can anyone help me with Samsung Pay ID.
I looked in data\data\com.samsung.android.gearoplugin\files\hm Backup\SM-R720\SM-R720 and tried to use com.samsung-pay-app in GWD but it did not work on the watch.
I'm a woodworker and I use my watch to control the 240v aeotec switch that controls my dust collection. It works well except the Wearable Widgets seems to always lose connection with my phone as well as being incredibly tiny to press the buttons needed.
Are there any better options available?
IMO, your best bet is to get Watch Maker and make your own mod on a watch design to put in Tasker buttons and use tasker to control your SmartThings (through the plug-ins). I have mine set up for my Wink system and I find it a million times better as it doesn't disconnect like Wearable widget/Trigger or TaskS2.
If you want a simpler method, Trigger is a viable option too but you need to set it up through IFTTT
You will be very happy soon if you'd like an app...an native Tizen SmartThings app to control routines and switches is in progress by a SmartThings forum community member.
It's community development, so we don't have/expect an official timeline, but his most recent post indicated he was getting things ready to start beta testing.
https://community.smartthings.com/t/gear-watch-smartthings-app-development-thread/73122
The option using WatchMaker to enable tasker actions from watch faces is also good, but it can be a maintenance PITA if you like to switch watch faces and try new ones frequently - then you'll have to keep editing each face you want to use to add the tasker tap actions, and if you use a watch face that the designer has locked down then you can't edit it. I'm using tasker tap actions from watch faces now, but looking forward to the native app so I don't have to keep updating things...
Thank you for the replies! You've got me started on a good path

As mentioned in the other reply, TaskS2 is also an option, the app gives you access to Tasker actions on the watch. It works pretty well, but can disconnect and need to refresh sometimes.

Mine is even worse. It loses the settings all the time. The list of widgets is empty.
It is a new version 6.0 (Android 6.01 BTW) I think.
When opening Wearable Widgets on Note 5 I get the "choose widget" screen.
Hi !
I am going to build a new app for Gear S2/S3 that it will help in my daily life. I want ideas for the app from you .
My goal is to build to an app that will be extremely useful for the user, not just a gimmick to use our smartwatch
I am looking forward of your replies

Fidme, it's not that great but beggers can't be chosers
Currency Converter like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.xelnaga.exchanger
An app or widget that with the pressing of one button allowed for quick saving of GPS coordinates , allows for adding a title to the record, and shares it on Google maps or here maps.
This way whenever we walk into something interesting we want to check out again in the future we just press the button and the location is stored!

Fidme is not so good as Stocard. Stocard works on Android Wear but not Tizen S3. Fidme also does not work on Tizen.
Thanx anyway!

Fidme works on my Gear S3.... It's definitely not as good as Stocard but it's better than nothing. You have to install the Fidme for Gear as well as the companion app on your phone - Not just one.
I was wondering if there's an app available for the Gear S3 that automatically disables the WiFi and Bluetooth of the watch on certain moments or at least at night so I don't have to do it manually every night? That would be so great you know...

Like in android? If so, you cannot disable the screen in tizen. Complains are here https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/how-to/petition-to-add-screen-bezel-button-t3542558
So there is no way to actually implement android like theater mode in this but since screen is amoled true black, you can make an app that keeps the a full black window on top. I actually build this but it waste too much battery if you press buttons much and is too hacky, only works because tizen 2 is based on x11 (some internal api usage), meaning it wont work in tizen 3 so no way to put it in gear store. I'm thinking about open sourcing it soon.
Widget with Shortcut settings:
E.g: Turn off wifi, or Toggle AOD etc.
I just posted this as a separate inquiry:
Are there any vocal/verbal countdown timers, i.e. Speaks 60, 59, 58....
Occasionally I have a need to time something, like eye drops where hearing a countdown down by a voice would be helpful. Anyone know of such an app for the Gear S3?
Thanks in advance.
A good messanger app for Whatsapp, line and so on, like "Messages for Android Wear"
The two things I have been looking for with no success are a "Breathe" app like what is found on the Apple Watch. Also looking for a true weightlifting app with programs you can upload to the watch. The Gear S3 is so much better than AW, but is definitely lacking useful apps.

Yep, no need to go to settings, etc etc just to turn on AOD or Turn off Wifi.
What would be nice is an app that sends selected notifications as morse code with variable speed. It should also have filters so only certain apps and maybe senders result in morse vibrations. Also it would need to ensure notification get sequenced and maybe not happen if watch is not worn
---------- Post added at 03:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:31 AM ----------
And I Am still looking for a proper screen lock that can show a watch face but disable any tap, bezel or burn input until a combo is entered. That will allow wearing the s3 while sleeping etc
I would like to have app for diving depth meter.
