Any other XDA developers get lucky enough to receive a Cr-48 from google? Typing one right now and I gotta say, it's nice.

Signed up last week, got it Wednesday, no email. I was tracking it with the leaked tracking info posted Friday.
Managed to get one.
Using it now actually. When I get some time off on Monday I plan to throw Ubuntu on it, since there's tutorials of dual booting Chrome OS and Ubuntu already. If you wan't I'll stick around and help with what I can, I know my way around Linux rather decently, and am no stranger to Android either.
yeah i got mine yesterday. no email or anything the ups guy just showed up. i want to try some hacks to the OS. putting other OS's on it isnt that interesting to me since i can just do that with any other computer. i want to see what chrome can really do.

Actually, it was delivered 7 days ago to my office. I signed up the first day.
I was sick the whole week and this morning I emailed my colleague asking about any packages delivered to me. She told me that I have received a laptop so I went to my office to pick it up.
Can't believe the laptop was sitting in my mailbox untouched for 7 days.

used the cr-48 shipping tracker and theres one coming to my town, don't expect it to be mine though. :X

I got CR-48 second day, didn't expect it. Already installed Ubuntu on it, it fast even with Ubuntu, SSD speed is something like 300 MB/s read. But the interesting thing is I prefer Chrome OS to Ubuntu for daily use I just go into ubuntu for SPECIAL things.

Yeah, a lot of people receiving them aren't receiving confirmations. They either get it at their front doors, or they don't.
how's flash working on it? Engadget commented that after trying to use flash, the device really bogged down.

Alright...I have been waiting and waiting for a good android tablet...and right now...the Xoom is the best thing out... I know we have a few more options coming down the road...but it is just bugging the hell out of me that I don't have one yet. I just want to know from those that have a Xoom...was it worth it? Do you plan on selling it, returning it, or trading it in for another HC Tablet like the new Galaxy Tabs(sexy),G Slate...HTC whatever....or any others coming down the pipeline? Are the bugs too much to deal with....is the SD card slot not working...that irritating ...does no USB hosting make you want to throw it out the window...Do you get way too many FC's....are you really sick and tired of being shown Mobile Versions of web sites???? The jury's still out. If I get to day 85 of my 90 day Costco return policy and nothing has changed, it's going back. If Motorola/Google can iron out all the bugs, and I see a steady stream of high quality tablet apps, then I'm keeping it.

It's totally impossible to watch a YouTube video while browsing. If you click on YouTube it takes me like 5+ random clicks on anything to hopefully open the YouTube app... and then I pray that it doesn't force close... and if it does open I have to pray it doesn't freeze midway.
I'm with MikeyMike01, but also include the cold ghosting. I posted a question if anyone else noticed it, but only received a single reply saying they didn't notice it. I find it hard to imagine only my unit has the issue though.
I've also had issues with it taking sometimes 20-30 seconds for the screen to turn on after hitting the unlock button on the back.
I initially really liked it, but am now considering getting an ipad2.
I'm contemplating whether the 15% restocking fee is worth it (I got mine at Amazon)

I am glad that costco gave me a 3 year warranty... however I'm sure I'll upgrade within the first year lol.
Anyways, I love this tablet, I'm very happy I got it, and like he said costco gives you 3 MONTHS to decide if you like it or not! That's ridiculous! They accept returns no questions asked . I've returned the xoom twice and I didn't get asked a single thing. (unlucky with dead pixels)
edit: and costco gives you a free gel case!
At first I was going to buy the galaxy tab 10.1 (original version), but when I did see wifi only Xoom in stock at B&H I couldn't resist and ordered it. I just couldn't wait any longer.
After 3 days with it, I can say I'm happy with it.
Yesterday I started having hangs on the stock browser, I could scroll and zoom, but I couldn't click on any links. Only restart helped. So I removed the apps I installed yesterday and it seems the problem went away. So it seems the browser problems are somehow related to some apps that cause problems.
I haven't had any other problems.

I don't have any major issue with it and I love it! Don't care much about the motor gel case though.

I had a boat load of Best buy reward zone certificates so I picked one up there...I figure I will play with it for a week and return it if I dont like it... but I feel like if I have any issues it will be more with honeycomb than the Xoom...and hopefully Google and Motorola will address them in the future. my biggest complain so far is the screen. It just so washed out compare to my ipad. Heck, my Gtablet screen actually looks better (at the right angle of course). I love honeycomb though. It's a bit confusing at first, but now I don't think I can enjoy using a tablet with a different OS.
I got mine at costco also, so I'm not too worried about new tablets coming out. right now I'm very interested with the transformer. especially with its IPS screen. I just hope that it's built well like the xoom.
I'm rooted and still use foxfi.apk 1.91 I haven't updated this and it still works great. I've used root explorer to try to locate the original download the. Apk I cannot find the path that it downloaded to. I want to put this version on my wife's razor m. Does anyone know where to find the downloads from the play store?

ok so i see you listed the version number, I'm guessing that means you didn't do the newest update =/ I use my phone as my internet connection and updated foxfi because it gave me an error saying i had to update it to use it.
Now i'm stuck with a 2.51Mb limit before i have to restart foxfi, Any work arounds for this? Im not trying to spend $7 for an app thats been free this long. It strikes me as someone getting greedy, And $7 is pretty steep when i can root the phone and tether for free. Just not trying to root my S3 atm.

Its cool. Lol. I wouldn't update because of the limit and felt the same way about the app being free then 7 bucks.I don't mind supporting the devs for their hard work and have many bought paid apps that I have purchased. But this just didn't seem right. But as of yesterday the old version quit working had a pop-up saying it wasn't supported and wouldn't connect. So I guess it got blocked to force you to buy if you want the program.

darn, im wondering if theres a way around it or another app. Because like you i dont mind supporting dev's and i have also bought many apps, but this isn't right its been free for this long this is someone who is just getting greedy and trying to force people into paying them money. The app had over 1million downloads, If that many people use it and he now forces them to pay 7 thats 7 million dollars. I dont blame him i wouldn't mind having 7 million but still i'm not putting in on him being greedy.

Well i'll straight up say i'm far from spoiled, I've spent money on apps that i didn't have to just to support the devs. But when you go from "i'm doing this for the people and its free i just made it to help out" to "i'm charging 7 dollars when i've changed nothing" that just a bit greedy to me, I work hard for my money and i'm not about to just throw it at someone because they got greedy. I've done my homework downloaded a widget called hotspot toggle and i tether threw my phone's built in hotspot for free. Easy to use, turns on faster, and i haven't seen any issues with it yet. So i guess good try to the foxfi guy. Hope you guys find the hotspot toggle widget useful

Look we own THE FLAGSHIP of Samsung, and the top tier of T-Mobile, and yet, it just seems they can't push an update??? I called corporate a few days ago, demanding ANSWERS! The guy had the nerve to tell me "I just don't know..."....UNACCEPTABLE! I demanded to speak to ANYONE with a clue, he put on a Supervisor, who at least did what I would have done; put me on hold and do some checking. She, of course didn't get anywhere in giving me some idea, but, in a show of good faith gave me a $150 credit towards my next bill! (I took it off course!) My point is, with 6.0.1 being pushed to lesser phones, how is it we get put on the back burner and told to be patient??? I mean, it's TESTING for God's sake!!!! Marshmallow has been out since November 2015...HOW MUCH TESTING IS THERE???
Anyway, I just thought maybe someone, ANYONE in this forum might have some insight on when T-mobile and Samsung might get their S#@* together!!! (I feel better now...)

I understand completely....sometimes it's the little things in life.
Samsung have moved on to the s7 and could careless about older devices. We will get the update but not until they have free time. As long as there's custom roms and root i could careless about the update. There really haven't been a android update that made me want to upgrade . Its almost like its going backwards if you ask me

I understand your frustration because i created a similar topic...
Back to the topic, you know i felt the same way but i learned to cope with it. Its not really necessary to update right now, imo, because how well built 5.1.1 is for our note 5's. There isnt any vulnerabilities as far as i know.. It'd be nice to have marshmallow though, with all the new features, changes...
The only problem i had with this phone is that when i charge, it doesnt fast charge sometimes. Even when all the cords are fully plugged in. Just today in the morning, i was charging my phone and it was finally fast charging. But i wanted it to charge a little faster because i had work so i turned off my phone... 30 min later i found out it was fully charged.. so i turned it back on and guess what? It was standard charging.......... so im going to call tmobile or samsung todau after work and see what the fu**ing deal is.. because itz been like this for the past week and im getting tired of this and afraid my device will mess up from re-plugging, and rebooting everytime it does that.

When it's not fast charging anymore it's usually the cable going bad. Try with another cable plugged in and see if it works better.

I dont understand why it would go bad in less than 3 months?? I take good care of my things, one of them being the charger and cable for my note 5.... I dont have any other usb cable i can use and do not plan on buying a new one. This is fu**ing ridiculous. I expect the device and the accessories/charger that came with it to work properly and at least hold up after 3-4 years......
I was pissed off earlier because of updates, yes i know thats a bad reason but now i have a good reason why i should be really pissed off....

Samsung cable are garbage. I've never had the cable of any of my Samsung devices ever last longer than a few months now matter how well I took care of them.

If their cables are garbage, then their garbage as a whole...
I had an iphone 5s, bought it new from t-mobile. The lightning cable lasted me 20 months before it started tearing up.. i never had issues with it.
Marshmallow for the note 5 just got pushed back to Feb or March.

Q- Why do you want the update? Just because its out there? This is what I never understood from people and the rants. Now I have a OnePlus that I keep and a Note 4 to root play with and test out roms. I am running MM on my OnePlus and its smooth but its not like a crazy upgrade that would make me go crazy or rant.
To each his own I get it but really what is the upgrade going to give any of us that we cant provide for ourselves. Thats a game changer for the Note 5...

Samsung's cable is truly garbage, they always go bad within half year. Go get a third party charging cable, it works better. My Samsung cable quit quick charging 3 moths ago, have to plug and unplug for 5 or more times in a roll before it can quick charge.

Actually, it's a good question. I've been reading about issues MM has, and now don't want it as much. I suppose it's because this is the only Note I've not rooted in order to keep Samsung Pay...I'm also frustrated seeing other phones get the update, yet this is supposed to be the best phone on the market. I called corporate and got $150 credit for ranting on them, so it does pay when you complain loud enough. Essentially, I agree, it's really no biggie anymore. No offense taken.

I really haven't had time to get to it. I plugged it in once, and my device didn't recognize it, so I don't have much hope ini it actually working. I'll commit some time to it this weekend.
Follow up: NOPE. Doesn't work AT ALL! Oh well, it only costs me 3 bucks. No biggie.
Well, the final results are in! Evidently this thing is made exclusively for an iPhone. And after rigorous testing and attempts to get it working within an Android environment, the verdict is, do not waste your time or money! Even $3 of money gone is money loss on this item.
