Help - my honor 8 was block - No access Fastboot Mode or Debugging Mode - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I downgraded my Honor 8 via Rollback and installed the Rom FRD-L09C432B131.
But my phone is stuck on the blue Android startup screen.
I can not use the Volume +, Volume - or Power buttons.
All I can do is let it turn off by itself when the battery is at 0%.
When I put it on, it turns on by itself. Arrives on a blue screen. Reboot once and then stays eternally on the blue screen while heating up enormously.
I have no access to the Recovery, erecovery or via the computer (by plugging it into a USB port).
Thanks

Once your phone turns off, press power button amd volume up button together. This should take you to recovery. Or you can't access this at all?
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs

I can not turn off my phone. It goes off when the battery is at 0%.
If I put on USB or mains, it recharges and restarts automatically. And I can not stop it ...
When I plug it into a USB port, the Power, Volume + or Volume buttons are ineffective.
And when it's plugged into the PC, it does not show up!
So I do not have access ... except perhaps by a software that would force the connection ... or a manipulation other than Power / Volume ..

When I say reboots, it is a program to display the Android blue screen and hangs on it!

does it say android or honor?
going to dload is kinda tricky sometimes and should be done when connected to wall adapter, not pc
can you keep vol- and power pressed while your phone is connected to pc. keep them pressed even after the phone restarts. dont let go. it might take some time. does it go to fastboot?

He can't even boot to recovery.
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs

Ohhh, sorry my bad

dats prolly because he has mismatched files for the os he's running. he should deffo check if he can go to fastboot. the fact that he cant go to dload doesnt really mean anything because i cant do it either 40% of the time. its a bit iffy. the fact remains, if it boots to honor logo, means some type of os is up there. if he can go to fastboot he can flash stock recovery/recovery2 and try dload again. without proper recovery combo he wont be able to flash anything anyways and warranty prolly wont cover it since its users fault, esp if he has unlocked warning.

Thank you

Similar to me, only way is go into bootloader mode, then charge the phone for awhile, you cant do nothing cuz of 0% battery, flash stock recovery, update via dload or direct wifi recovery.

He can't go to fastboot

if he completely bricked it, he'd be stuck at black screen/android logo, not honor logo. either he's not telling us everything (ran out of juice while upgrading / error while flashing / flashing wrong rom), there is no chance all key partitions got wiped if the process finished successfully. meaning at least he should be able to fastboot cause thats the first thing flashing alongside bootloader. no way any type of system partition is up there, and bl/fb is not, even if they are from a different OS. h8 can be stubborn at times, but keeping the cable in pc and holding vol_down+power for good 20s deffo will force it to at least reboot. thats the only way. if this doesnt work, you should take it to a service center.

I guess it's better if he takes it to the service center

Nothing works. So I have to send it to the service center

Thank you all !

[Q] I brick my nexus, need help

Hello everyone.
Yesterday I tried to flash my nexus to f2fs. After that I wanted to go back to the stock, but forgot format filesystem to ext4 and run flash_all.bat.
Flashing was stopped on system write with error: "Unknown chunk type". After that i can't open recovery or turn on phone.
On 4pda i read, that bootloader reopen can help fix this problem.
When I flash new boot, nexus was died.
Can you help me?
Hi,
Please provide a link to exactly what you've flashed? Can you access the bootloader?
i flash google original rom

you need to put your device in fastboot mode, keep retrying
then to go back to EXT4 :
- Flash back an official custom recovery (CWM or TWRP)
- Format Data from recovery
- Flash a kernel compatible with your ROM
- Reboot.

What happens when you hold down Power + Vol down keys together? Hold them until you feel a vibration. May be the battery has died? Keep it on charge for an hour and then try to enter bootloader?

If all the key combinations don't work, them your device is done for! Since it's totally dead there shouldn't be any problem to RMA it! Good Luck

Press and hold volume up while you connect usb cable to pc.
can you see download mode on device screen?
if yes read this thread entirely http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2515760
Edit: try this also:
connect your phone to the pc, open device manager.
hold your power button until QHSUSB_BULK disappears, then in that split second press and hold both volume key while you still press the power key. it may end up into the second bootloader
thank you all!

if your phone boots into a black screen its not hardbricked, hardbricked means it wont turn on at all and you have no indicators

You may need to uncheck usb debugging in developer options then reboot and go in and check usb debugging again then try adb tools using adb devices and see if it works then. Some m8's can be a real pain that way you just need to keep trying.

I would run the newest ruu that dottat has posted in the android development section for this phone, put it on your sd card using your computer, then put it back in your phone and boot to fastboot and let it pick it up and hit I believe it is yes and it will restore your phone. You are on 4.4.4 right ? If you are having problems getting to fastboot hold power and volume up until you see the lights change and or it vibrate then quickly switch to power and volume down and it should take you to fastboot, it may take you multiple tries to get it there. This sounds like the screen of death issues people have had on viperone which the fix for that so far has been to reverse the 4g handoff fix as most people that have the sod they had used the 4g handoff fix but if you cant get past the black screen then you cant do the fix for that. Have you tried leaving your phone sit for a while to see if it comes out of it ? Also most people only had that issue in weak signal areas so a good signal area could get your screen working again if you had done the 4g handoff fix. If you did some have said that the change can stick even through a ruu, but I cannot verify that either way.
Can I say I'm having an almost same problem.
I wiped my phone in prep of loading a new rom.
RUU the firmware for 4.4.4
Loaded twrp
and then it rebooted to the htc screen.
Now I can't get past that screen. I can hard reboot but it only comes back to that screen. and if I try to access it through the computer it can't load the driver so that I can sideload.
Help please

it's tricky to get it back to hboot... but you can with practice. Hold power a both volume buttons until you think it finally has rebooted. Switch to only holding vol down to enter hboot. Timing and practice makes perfect.
It took about an hour of trying. But I did it. Plus I had to do a few other things to get things remounted.

I agree with Dottat, faced the same issue when trying to flash ARHD 22.1 on my Verizon M8. I think I sprayed some **** in my pants with that loud fart .
After trying several times I got the trick and could get into Hboot. The issue I think was I was holding Power + Volume up & down for more than required time and it Rebooted. We need to Switch Off the device by Holding Power + Volume UP & Down button for about 8-10 secs and then just remove the finger from Volume UP button. It takes you to Hboot mode..

Problems with my d6633 Z3 Dual

Hallo people,
I have a very big problem with my d6633. I installed tonight TWRP - so fas, so good. After installing TWRP asked me to root the device, I said YES. My bootloader was unlocked. Then I couldn't exit TWRP. After every reboot the device started into TWRP. Now I can not start the device. I tried with Power+ Volume+, reset button - nothing.
Any suggestions?

Sony Xperia Z3 Dual D6633
I have tried just about every method seen. My problem with the flashtool or PC companion is that the phone is recognized by the computer but I can only start to turn the device on which I don't believe it actually boots. Broken display and new display does not power on.
Or it connects in fastboot by holding volume up when connecting. This shows a blue led.
But trying to connect in flash mode by holding power down just makes the led flash red then green continuously.
And for the pc companion it always says the connection was unsuccessful once the led turns green on the device.
I got the phone for only $40 in this condition. So I cannot say what entirely was wrong or what it's last working state was.
I bought a new screen and power flex cable. As well as a back plate and tempered glass protectors. I was going to wait until everything works perfect speakers and all before I sealed it tight with water proof adhesive stickers.
Even before I bought the new power flex the computer recognized it and the battery health and charge %. The battery was able to charge. But I couldn't turn the device on.
The computer confirmed that it had been at 29% after some time charging and then 100% after leaving it on charge.
Now with the new screen and power cable the phone still does nothing if not plugged it. The light was red at first, but then yellow, then after some time green when the battery fully charged. This was again even before the new parts.
I have to plug it in to try anything.
It goes red then starts to turn on and turns green.
But I hear no sound, get no vibrations, the computer only sees it as the phone and shows absolutely nothing on the removable disk. Just blank when I click on the drive volume. But it is seen as an Xperia D6633 phone or fastboot Android device.
I've tried the reset button, holding power and volume up, volume down, all three. Tried my factory cable. Different cables, different ports, uninstalling it from service manager and letting the flash tool recognize and install it.
I also tried the new display on the old power flex and the old display on the new power flex.
Nothing changed, no vibrations, no sounds, system never actually fully starts as far as I can tell, and cannot connect in flash mode only fast boot. And the flashable file is only seen in flash mode. Fastboot can only see the folder but it is ready to flash files as far as I can tell.
@xdathekilljoy
That's a lot of money you're putting into an (apparently) broken phone Brave!
Okay so what happens if you hold Vol+ while it's shut down and then connect it to USB, the LED turns blue, right?
So why does flashing it from there on not work?

Well it didn't seem that broken at first and both it and the display were only about 37 piece. Power flex was almost 10. Seemed like a rightful price.
Yes the led turns blue and it is in fastboot mode. The flash file seems to only be readable for flashing in flash mode "volume down". I can see the folder of the flash file in fastboot mode " volume up ", but not in a flashable format.
And when connecting " volume down " it fails a connection while the led just flashes green to red to green to red continually
Two updates
1. I thought I should mention that when I do plug the phone in to a charger or computer the top does get a bit warm or hot as well as the led turns on. Different color depending.
2. With much fiddling and trying if holding the volume down button for different lengths of time while connecting up a computer I finally got it to connect in flash mode and flashed a file...... No change.
At this point maybe I should try a new battery for the hell of it even though this one seems to be working.
Or there is a minute hardware damage somewhere. Maybe the power ic? Or s capacitor?

hard bricked my MT-TL10

Hi there,
Kindly help... I successfully installed B512 on my TL10 using force upgrade method, afterwhich I changed recovery to TWRP 3.0.2 using mobopx v2.2, which was also successful. And then I installed SuperSU 2.46 via TWRP, then cleared cache/dalvik. But upon rebooting system, I get a blank screen, even after waiting for more than 15 minutes.
And so I tried going to TWRP (Vol+ and power), which was successful, in order to boot to bootloader, with the intention of loading back the stock bootloader via adb, so that I can force install B512 from my microSD card again. It seemed to install fine...
However, at this point, I cannot reboot to bootloader (Vol- and power) anymore, I only get blank screen. Trying recovery (Vol+ and power) doesn't work either. Rebooting normally gives me the same. I cannot by any means connect via adb now.
Is there any way to unbrick my phone at this point?
Thanks so much. Cheers.

You seem to be in a sticky situation bro. Your recovery seems to be broken because in stock recovery Vol up + power should ideally take you to recovery and not restart. If you could somehow boot into fastboot mode then it could open up some options to bring your phone to life.
With no way to connect to the phone the only options left are the hardware buttons. I am sure you'd have tried them already, but just in case you have not, try the other 2 key combinations also, Vol down + power and Vol up + Volume down + power, for ~10 secs, to check if any of these either forces a factory reset or boots the phone into fastboot mode.

Thank you for this suggestion brother. I tried exactly as you described, however, the phone looks badly discharged, and while the screen was blinking/showing the red battery icon, it doesn't seem to want to charge. I waited around 5 minutes, but nothing seems to progress from here.
And so now, I moved the USB cable to a proper charger, and now it seems to be charging, with the LED light a steady red, and the screen the normal red circle with "0%" inside. It seems to be charging at the moment, although I really have to wait until it shows "1%" until I can surely say so.
One thing that's different now is that the phone hasn't turned on (by itself) yet. And at least this looks promising.
I'll let you know what happens in a while... Thank you!

One thing that's different now is that the phone hasn't turned on (by itself) yet. And at least this looks promising.
I'll let you know what happens in a while... Thank you!

I was out of town for the past few weeks and didn't have time to do this. I'm back now and plan to work on this tonight. Thank you bro, I'll let you know how it goes...

Cannot Enter Bootloader or Use Volume Up.

Hello Guys,
My OnePlus One screen broke, it was in my drawer for more than 15 days without charge, i connected charger for 1 hour it just went from 1% to 5% but i didnt thought much about it as my priority was to change screen, i bought touch+lcd with frame and replaced it myself, but it wasnt powering up then i tried putting the backpanel on, it then booted up to the home screen, but the battery indicator wasnt moving up i powered off the phone after that it never turned on, i researched a bit and found out the after long period of time if you dont charge your phone might have problem charging and there was one suggestion which i followed and that was charge OPO using usb cable attached to PC, i left it for somewhat 7hours and it powered on i thought it might be the problem of ROM i flashed official H2OS (regret selecting this rom) using TWRP, it was a catastrophe my phone wont Enter Bootloader or Recovery, and wont even boot to system, it seemed i hardbricked my device, i used Oneplus one recovery tool 64GB to bring my device to life but after that no matter what i do my device wont enter to bootloader as the volume up button stopped working too : tried advance reboot, powerup+volumeup, opo toolkit.
Help me, i want to root my device and unlock bootloader once again.

Is your volume up button actually broken or does it still work and can you boot into something? If it still works (hold on, this idea might be a little crazy xD) you could try completely hard bricking (no joke! you cannot get into Qualcomm download mode with a booting device) and restoring it with the msm8974downloadtool from the oneplus one unbricking guide which should theoretically fix everything that is wrong.

Even If my volume button dosent work then why wont it enter bootloader via advance reboot it just restarts to system after selecting reboot to bootloader,so i should hard brick my device once again, P.S. i have done that twice before though.
