Can anyone tell me if the u11 has an option for onscreen nav buttons, and your thoughts on the capacitive keys
On viperu11 you can get them but I actually like the buttons on it now. More screen space

You can edit the build.prop file if you have root. I think the capacitive keys are ugly and harder to reach at the bottom. 100% recommend enabling on-screen nav and disabling capacitive back lights.

Right now that doesn't work. We have to wait for them to fix nav buttons.

Anyone know how to map the hardware buttons for the Touch Pro (preferably without using other software)?
If you mean front panel hw-buttons (like Home, Back), not yet solution to this.

For mapping keyboard buttons, use PQzII. I have Ctrl+Enter → OK

You should be able to remap device hardware buttons (volume, call start/end, home, back) with AEButton+, but I haven't tried.

There is other threads about that issue, it "kinda" works, but not as it should...
I'm not sure if anybody has done this but I thought it may be a good idea to enable on screen buttons and turn off the capacitive buttons.
This way we have the ease and customization of on screen navigation buttons + the ability to use the physical home button to turn on the device.
coming from a Gnex, I hear ya!

The link below jumps to a thread with exactly what you want. It also changes the home button into a camera button (long press).
In the first post, Sheffy007 posted flashable zips for various ROMs. Not sure what rom you're running, but I've also linked to a step by step tutorial in case things don't work exactly as you want.
P.S. Before flashing, go into settings / display and set touch key backlights to always off. (this keeps them turned off before flashing in touchwiz based roms).

Can someone point me out where to find a modded framework res to add JB onscreen buttons to CM10? This was possible for my previous device.
I would like to add onscreen buttons and disable back light on the capacitive stock buttons.

Hi,
the keys on the type cover to control the display brightness do not work. Is there a driver missing? Also the mute key does not work whereas the search and share key do work perfect. My Surface Pro 3 is just a couple of hours old and I did not install anything yet.

Umm, try holding the Fn key and tapping the Caps key. That toggles the status of the function keys.
OR Hold the Fn key and tap the required function key as when in toggled state the roles are reversed.
But then, as far as I know there is no brightness key for the display there. What looks like a bright light icon is actually a short cut to the Settings menus.
Didja read the manual???
Hi thanks for the information. I found out that these keys do not control the display brightness but the brightness of the type cover' keys.

So I have tried a few lollipop roms and I can't seem to find one that has the on screen nav button editor/reorganizer. I want to be able to reorder the on screen nav buttons and also assign longpress actions to them. I know you can assign long press to the hardware keys but I would like to be able to do this with the onscreen nav keys. Does anyone know of a lollipop rom that has this feature?

You should be able to open the SystemUI.apk and edit the navbar yourself if you really need it.
