So I have a new zte zmax pro and it's stock not rooted, and I didn't have Google Assistant until my Google updated yesterday and now I do? Did they release assistant for every device and I just didn't get the memo?

Just last week, Google announced its Google Assistant feature was making its way to Android devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Android 7.0 Nougat.

My 6X (BLN-L22 indian region) got the Assistant yesterday....all I did was downloading the latest Google Play Services apk (10.5.35) from apkmirror.com.
Initially it didn't work out but after a day of update, Assistant automatically got enabled.
Happy to use it on my Honor 6X running Marshmallow.

I just got it with new Google beta 6.14.16.21 update. It's enabled automatically.
