Just last week, Google announced its Google Assistant feature was making its way to Android devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Android 7.0 Nougat.
Did someone try to enable Google assistant in not eligible country?

My 6X (BLN-L22 indian region) got the Assistant yesterday....all I did was downloading the latest Google Play Services apk (10.5.35) from apkmirror.com.
Initially it didn't work out but after a day of update, Assistant automatically got enabled.
Happy to use it on my Honor 6X running Marshmallow.

I just got it with new Google beta 6.14.16.21 update. It's enabled automatically.

Everyone saw what Huawei made today. Yes I am talking about P8, the system looks amazing with the new EMUI making me wondering, Are we getting those new specifications ? The camera app and etc. ?
Even the theme looks good.

Maybe someone can extract the EMUI and theme for the room when it will be available....
Why would Huawei not update the Mate 7 to Lollipop and EMUI 3.1? It's a matter of time though, as they need to create the ROM for the Mate 7 (and its different versions) first, besides creating new ROMs for all other current phones. So just have a little patience.
Of course the emui will be updated along with lollipop you just need to hang on.

EMUI 3.1 is now available for all Mate 7 devices with the latest (5.1.1) update, available on their site.

i found it on the website from Huawei it's self.
i have installed on my mate 7 and it works fine.
there is 2 versions of the update: MT7-L09 Firmware(Android 5.1.1,EMUI 3.1) and MT7-TL10 Firmware(Android 5.1.1,EMUI 3.1)
check the site and you will see it for youre self.

I own a huawei honor 8 , { FRD-L09C185B403 }
I'm still on the EMUI 5.0.4 version, android 7.0.0.
I haven't received any updates since October 2018!.. Most honor devices have gotten the Oreo update and mine shows as no update! I purchased this phone from middle east. I live in India right now. i searched the internet and could not understand a word. i haven't rooted the phone.
I don't wanna brick my phone but i want the Oreo update, so at least I an use VoLTE instead of regular 4G.
Please guide me how to do this!

Go to Settings - About phone - System software update - Check for updates.
It should be at least EMUI 8.0 and Android 8.0.
Hello! I updated my Mediapad M5 lite to Emui 9.1.0. after the updated all the Google apps stopped working.. how can I install google again? I only see tutorials about 9.1.1 versions or Emui10 and I couldn't make them work. Any solution?

Has anyone tried updating to EMUI 11 from EMUI 10.1 with a working GMS sideloaded on it ? Will it somehow impact GMS ? If i recall correctly EMUI 11 is still based on Android 10

Yes. EMUI11 is based on Android 10, so it's just like a normal update. We will se about Android 11.

So far no issues after upgrading to EMUI 11 with GMS installed previously.
Google account, google assistant and playstore doesn't shows any error.
My phone mode ELS-NX9 with EMUI 11.0.0.118 installed (beta).

I also have mine mate 30 Porsche and mate Xs upgraded to emui 11 beta without any problems with GMS
Does this go for the newest EMUI 10 also? I now have 10.0.1.136 and want to update to the newest with GMS installed, will it be fine? @ JNY-LX1
