I need to know through which SMS Center a text message was sent.
Anybody knows if this information is stored in the PIM database ?
I've looked through it to no avail.
Is this info discarded by the messaging application ?

The messaging center number is usually auto configured on the phone by the SIM card.. if you need yours google it "network name message center number"

in other phones, you can check through which message center a text message (in your inbox) has been sent.
I know how to check/change the message center i am using.
I want to know how to check throuch which message center (SMS-C) the message I receive was sent.
EDIT: Actually, I don't know how to change message center for my messages, but I am not interested in that.
Any ideas about this ?

As title says, sadly in this world of unsavoury people its just not good enough to block a text, sometimes what you want is to blocking the text and also let the yahoo know that you never got it by sending a automated text back to them saying its rejected
I have tried the Norton beta which didnt even block a text when i tested it

Might be able to use tasker for it.
Set up a profile to autorespond to the message.. Not 100% sure if it can delete though.

You can try Easy Filter from the market. ive tried it before, it works well, and as you said, it can send automated text.
I hope I am posting to the right area for this.
I seem to be getting a lot of spam text (SMS) messages lately from phone numbers with an incorrect format for my territory. The number format I normally see is (xxx) xxx-xxxx. The spam ones are coming in from 333330000 and 333330005 and so on. I use Hangouts on Marshmellow 6.0.1 does anyone know of a way to block text messages from off number formats? I would just block the numbers they are coming from but the number is always changing.
When I block a call on my J7, it tells me I will not receive anymore calls or messages from that number. That's not quite true. It blocks the number but does not keep the caller from leaving a message. It's annoying because a message alert goes off every few minutes until I deal with the message. How can I block messages also?
SMS Spam and text messages with trojans and viruses has gotten so bad that I have had to block all SMS except those in my contact list. I use 'Should I Answer' for the SMS blocking.
I get SMS text alerts from several banks with no problem (they normally have a 6 digit number). But one bank has no number and is only identified by what appears to be an email address.
Unfortunately a Contact list does not allow an alphabetical input in the phone number field of the contact list. I question how they can even send an SMS message without a number. I've tried asking the bank for help but they seem clueless about this.
Is there a way to determine what number is being used to send these alerts? I found a number they claim on their website is used for SMS but when entering it in the contact list it is still blocked. I can't get any alerts from that bank due to their use of an email address in place of a number. Any suggestions?
