Discovered LED light need help developing so we can use it!! - Samsung Galaxy J7 Questions & Answers

Hey everyone! So it seems many of us Samsung J7 owners are lacking a LED light to alert us of any notifications on our phone or atleast a way yo utilize the LED light that I've discovered on the Samsung J7. So I've been thinking and one day when I had my phone powered off to charge I noticed a green LED light flashing in the middle lower part of the screen indicating that its charging. Are there any developers that know or could develop a way to utilize this LED light to activate when we recieve mesages, missed calls or any other type of notifications? Please help me. I'd like to help in anyway I can. This is a decent phone for the value except not having a LED light for notifications.

Really fed up are u gone out of ur mind
See its not led its a animation of charging

What are you fed up about? And why am I out of my mind? The light that clearly blinks when my phone is turned off and plugged into a wall receptackle is not an LED light? And if its not an LED light than how can we use this 'animation of charging' to notify us of messages or missed calls etc ect.
You dont have to be rude my friend, an explanation would be more educational than you telling me your fed up and that Im out of my mind.

I think he's referring to the green dot at the bottom. I've never seen this before.
It's obviously animation not an LED.
It's not much use as any suitable app could do the same such as NOLED.

Even when turned off the kernel is still responsible for charging mode and displaying the animation. Its just booted to charging mode instead of the OS.

Something like this but in real it would be much better So is there somebody that can make this work ?! Not necesarly use this in-call screen .... u can use the standard one witch I prefer better because this one has the end call button too big and maybe you hit it by mistake.
So i see that there is nobody interested in this Not even one comment?

I was thinking of setting up led lights under my toilet rim that would be triggered by an optical switch when it picked up ripples in the water. So when the kids actually hit the bowl, it would light up and flash colored lights, but then I asked myself ...............................WHY?............................
Haha yeah good answer ,but i say this to ppl that likes the idea, i mean it wouldn't be for u offcourse but maybe there are ppl that like this. i'we seen some mobile phones with led's and stuff and it's really nice. Some coloured light to reflect on ur face when ure talking at the phone. so maybe there are ppl that likes the idea. I would make it by myself but I don't know programing. I can help with graphics, skins, I'm good about that. Waiting for more answers. Thanx

I'll buy 2 if you can sync them to music like the Christmas light shows on houses!

Well ..too bad that nobody`s taking this in serious .
I would enjoy such feature on my phone. I remember having a strobe light program on my old Thinkbook that flashed when I got messages or when i was playing music. Maybe have it flash also when you get SMS for finding your phone in the dark?
Cool idea!

You're getting funny (to say the least ) responses because it's simply impossible with MortScript.
MortScript has no abilities to do GUI manipulation of this nature. All it can do with respect to GUI/colors is "check" a pixel on your screen and tell you the exact color of that pixel. Plus a few other things that will not achieve results that you are seeking...
Read the manual, it has a section called "Display / screen" which will explain the limitations.
Hmm I was asking if somebody could make a flash application that will open on the center of the screen (an application that with blink and change colours) in front(over) of the in-call window and if it would be possible that u can still click the buttons in the background(speaker, end call, note ...) even if that app is running in front. And if that application can be triggered with mortscript when receiving call and close when ending the call ....that would do the job Waiting for answers.

This will be really handy in the car. I always tend to set the phone in the passenger seat with the screen up, but then turn it over cause at some point the sun will reflect off of the screen and blind me. I also have the radio blasting and can never hear the notifications.
A little off-topic since it doesn't have that much to do with this but anyways:
What I'd like is to have the charging-LED light up for new mails. I think it's a little "extreme" to let the trackball light up when it's just a mail :b
This is nice. You can tell, even when the phone is lying face-up.
Thanks

Won´t this reduce led life??
worry about that led life but really cool concept.
Wish you have also create one for 2.1
I think LED are rated in 30K hour lifespan. If it's continually on, it'll take 3 years till EOL. Assuming it's strobing at 50/50 ratio, then it'll take 6 years if you get call all the time.

+1 on the widget! BTW, it worked today. I forgot that I set my phone to silent and realized that my phone was ringing through the strobing
works fine. thanks.
Youre not rdude?
Hey rori,
I'm on FRF50 and this thing rocks. What I noticed though is that during a phone call, the flash only goes through 4 cycles and then stops flashing. However it will take a few more cycles before the phone goes to VM. It'd be cooler if it went all the way through the ringing. It would be even cooler if the flashing intervals can match the trackball!
Anyone else experience this?

LED notifications on Galaxy J7 2016

A friend of mine has a brand new Samsung Galaxy J7. When they were using the Nokia N9:
- whenever a call was missed or a text arrived, a LED diode blinked
- there was a low-power screen on the AMOLED display, showing the information about the missed calls, just like on the photo below

Is it possible to get some standby notifications on the J7? I can't find any LED notifications options in the device settings.

try download Light Manager Pro
after installed go to Advanced settings>show horloge and show date
and enjoy
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.istudio.flashnotification
That doesnt work. The closest thing you will get is the camera to flash.. but thats only the rear camera so if youre device is laying down you will still miss notifications cause you cant see the light flashing.. its probably not good on the battery either. There just isnt any standard led notification lights... i guess you got to check manually i mean if youre already looking at youre phone to check for a blinking light you may as well just click the home or power button to see the notifications on youre lock screen..
There's an app on this J7 forum that uses the front flash for notifications
Front Flash Notification & Torch
Try it out.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.megawave.flashalerts
This one makes youre front and back cameras flash but its only for a couple seconds so if youre not in the dark or in the same room as the phone you wont see it... then say if you was out of the room and it went off youd miss it and never know there was a notification until the next time one came in while you was right there or when youd actually turn youre screen back on.. its a hit n miss on notifications cause theres no real led light and have to use the cameras which flashes only last a couple seconds.
Hej, jakim cudem masz w N9 skonfigurowanego Twittera??? / How do You connect native Harmattan Twitter app???
try noled app
you can use noled app for notifications..i can say its better than notification led..when you receive mail sms or missed call(..whatsapp message, and whatever you want) it appears on black screen and customizable..

you can see from my picture green bar on the top will appear in some condition only and it will disappear in home screen only when you using another Launcher. but in another Launcher it will only show up in recently app menu (different location). so far i can say if you meet same with me do not panic and make conclusion, try another method first like what i did.
my conclusion is there is bug around home things because its not appear when you playing game or watching movie

Not sure if it's really not visible or I'm blind, but I can't see the green bar.
The fact you've posted a screenshot that shows no issue, whilst you see an issue on your device, would heavily indicate that the issue is hardware based

Blinking red light (diode-like) on POCO X5 PRO

Hi, can anyone advise - how to get rid od this blinking Red light visible in the photo?
It's not related to any notifications and it's herę throughout whole day, both on filmy charged and discharging battery.
This might be proximity sensor - but still - blinking like crazy all the time.
It's POCO X5 PRO with Android 12 / MIUI 14.

It stops when locked.
Then, after unlocking, 1/10 times it stops; but 9/10 times it's still there.
Ok, so that's because of the adaptive lightness. When AL turned on, this red light is there and pulsating. No option to minimaze it though?
Even I am having the same issue if u turn off your auto brightness it will off,

Hi,
No, no resolution for this so far. I was advised by support in Poland to submit feedback in Settings -> Service and feedback.
Maybe it would be fixed with update but no response from them after the feedback.
Can you submit one as well? LET'S SHOW THEM WE'RE NOT ALONE!!!
