This thread is for the MediaPad M3 Lite 10 LTE - Tablet from Huawei.
In my case, I´m looking for a C-ROM and C-Recov (e.a. RR, Mokee, TWRP) for the
Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 LTE (BAH-L09) with Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.1
Since it´s quite new on the market it´s atm hard to find anything bout a C-ROM or even a C-recovery.

Detailed device Informations:
Nobody knows any thread about this tablet??
Still searching for a root-solution.
So it's possible to read out the firmware with Infinity Box CM2 but haven't found a working "Non-dongle"-version (Loader).
Some days, there will be a root solution.
It just takes time and will be posted in here.

I much appreciate the offer but what could u do if u haven´t the device or do u own it ?
Since my CM2-Infinity-box doesn´t work (usually I work with Miracle Box but it´s not compatible ...well the Tablet has to be rooted to read the firmware..), and literally tried all rooting-apps and progs, this device is really stubborn!
I own this device, thats what i told you

Very well. ?
Actually, just the stock-recovery is needed to finally start to compile it. Have u been able to extract the recovery or maybe the whole ROM ? ?

Well, to bad but I guessed so, since this device is atm not rootable. :/
I tried every single Flash-Box like MB, Infinity, Aladdin, Falcon etc pp.. any Rooting-App (APK & PC- based), almost a dozen flash-tools like ADT, AOS-flasher, Ultimate Backup-tool etc...and several command prompts via ADB&Fastboot.
Really Nothing helped to get a nandroid- or even a dumb ROM. From which I could extract the stock recovery.
Nevermind, I will try alil more with Holo- & Heliumbackup, which surely wont work but who knows, rite ??
I'm patient and as soon as I've found a solution I'll share it here immediately.
As any other user is welcome to do so, too.
I´ve managed to extract the stock-recovery via an OTA-update which came from Firmware Finder from Team MT.
U ´ll find the recovery on G-Drive. The "oldRECOVERY.img" is the extracted stock-recovery from the original BAH-L09C100B018 firmware!
So, since I´ve updated the Tablet, the only "RECOVERY.img"-named file is from the newest firmware which is L09C100B021!
If u wanna update to ...021, via the Firmware Finder-App, u need

Yup, unlocked the BL from day 1. It´s the same procedure for all HUAWEI devices.
Just go here, login or register, confirm the unlocking agreement and put all device infos into the blank fields.
U´ll immediatley get an unlock code, which u have to enter via fastboot command prompts (recommended):
fastboot devices
fastboot oem unlock-go 1234567890123456 <- (this number is an example, u´ll have to put ur code there instead)
fastboot reboot
From now on an unlocked bootloader message will appear every time u start ur device. Just press power shortly to boot then. (It´s also written in the text aswell)
P.S.
Before u try to unlock: Don´t forget to enable USB-debugging in the Engineertool (tap 7 times on "build" in the settings-menue) and "allow OEM unlocking".

Ok cheers, I looked on the emui site and was nothing under their tablet menu only phones on the unlock bootloader page, on Nexus you just enable usb-debugging and click the OEM unlock in settings and fastboot flashing unlock in terminal. Sony uses a custom tool and HTC via their website I had a few phones in the past and built roms etc this my first Huawei device apart from my Nexus 6p Huawei help build with Google. I take it this device no official forum atm only the Kirin version.
Ya, HUAWEI has a quite faire unlock policy.
Important: There's an unlock bug sometimes. Be sure to have the Original firmware on ur device. (No updated ROM)
Have fun.

It's on latest official that came with device, I take it there is no twrp or anything out for this device ATM?
Just check a view posts above. I've described how to get the newest FW.
So if the factory ROM-version is installed, unlock the BL and after then update ur ROM. Jfi.
BTW_
Atm there's no custom recovery available for the M3 Lite Versions. U have to compile it by urself or make a request on Hovatek.com

I'm not bothered about updating the firmware ATM more so custom recovery but will look into it after my holiday.
I have requested official forum for this device and looks to be accepted so hopefully get some development going for this device soon...
There seems to be no way to retrieve the unlock code for Wifi-only tablets from the official Huawei site, as it demands the IMEI which is obviously missing.
I have contacted Huawei support with the product ID and serial number of my M3 Lite 10. One day later I have received the unlock code. I think that having been polite has helped

Storage question
Hello,
First of all: sorry, if the question is 'noobish', but as a matter of fact I am noob as far as android is concerned
I just bought this tablet for my son (LTE version), and I was quite surprised to find out that I can't move the installed applications to SD card.
Are there any hints and tips on how to take advantage of the big SD card, so my son's game data would not have to be stored in the internal memory?
The only default option is to change the memory from internal to SD, after the tablet restarts. But I assume it uses then only the SD card, and I am looking for a solution I remember from Samsung phone, where I could choose certain apps to move from internal memory to SD.
Another question, just by the way, is following: when I install an apk file from the SD card, during the installation process every few seconds I get a pop-up saying the application is not responding (although the installation is in progress). Any way to disable those annoying pop-ups?
I'd appreciate any feedback

I'm so confused, if I have android 6.0.1, and they made it so you can't unlock bootloader on this version, but you need bootloader to downgrade to Lollipop to be able to unlock bootloader, how does that work??? I'm just trying to root it, but to do that I need bootloader, so I need to know either how I unlock bootloader on 6.0.1 (MM) or how to downgrade to Lollipop without the bootloader. Please help this has been driving me literally insane for weeks.

Use Panasonic eluga software to downgrade to 5.0.2....then unlock bootloader, install twrp and install marshmallow rom from the android development portion of the idol 3 forums. I recommend the marshmallow from @The Marionette.

So on AndroidMTK I found a ton of different softwares, I see one called "Parasonic Eluga Switch Stock Rom" and it says 5.0, I downloaded that, launched EB-90S55EWLv1009.exe, but when I try to downgrade my phone it gets stuck at 2% then gives me the error code in the picture below. I turn the phone off, then plug it in to my computer, then when it shows up I click download, am I doing something wrong? I have also tried manually putting it intodownload mode then clicking download but it still does the same thing. Do I have to change something in the settings? Help please.

As I've never used the Panasonic software myself and I use Linux, not windows I'm not the best person to assist. Hopefully someone else can. You can always re-run alcatel's mobile Q software (which I think requires you to be in download mode) to restore your device back to marshmallow stock. There have been some posts with instructions..you need to do some searches within the q&a and android development sections of idol3.
I have the same problem bro, but when i tried the 2 days ago it worked for me but i failed (the software stuck in 45-5X % and get an error, but no worry thats normal that would mean that worked perfectly), but the thing is that i unplugged the device before i had the error (we need to wait at least 20-30 min) and my device is now softbricked i guess, i tried again but i get the same error as you. Someone adviced me to try to use this software to go back to lolipop (without unblocked unlocker) so after i'll use Panasonic thing, i'll try after, there is the software : http://pic1.aotcloud.com/tclportal/20160315/06/33/48/Mobile_Upgrade_Q_5.0.0_Setup.exe (you need to power off the device before plugged it i guess)

I'm new to this site and don't know how to do anything or where anything is, I'm really looking for just a straight forward answer lol. When I rooted devices in the past all I had to do was use kingoroot.

With that program it again failed at 2% at ~3 minutes
1- install Mobile upgrade Q 5.0.6 (can be found on my g drive)
2-install the drivers inside the mobile upgrade q folder
3-reboot computer
4-turn the phone off
5-launch the mobile upgrade q 5.0.6
6-click on the "upgrade phone" icon
7-connect the phone to the computer (best with the original alcatel cable)
8-should be sucessfull
or do the same with "panasonic eluga switch EB-90S55EWLv1009.exe," instead of Mobile upgrade Q.
It didn't worked for me, i guess my friend phone is hardbricked ...
Have to see how the device is shown on windows when connected..

It still does the exact same thing, goes to 2% then says the same error as above.
Many people are getting 601->502 using mobile upgrade q or panasonic eluga switch app, so then you do something wrong, because as you posted the mobile upgrade q screen (the one with the red error message) it tells you that you are not in download mode, so you either:
-conected the device before you launch the upgrade process
-your device is not turned off
-your drivers are not installed.
If all above is not right, then you have to stick with the 6.0.1 and wait for root method.

This tool should help you all !!! https://yadi.sk/d/pIcZOidhtrYFc
There are three steps involved to root huawei y6 ii or any huawei device
If you have bootloader unlocked please proceed to step number 2
1. Unlocking bootloader (this will erase all your data and reset to factory settings)
Note:-
Unlocking device bootloader will void your phone warranty, and you won’t claim it back.
Follow the steps correctly otherwise you may brick your device. We are not responsible for any damage to your phone.
It will erase all your Internal Storage Data, so we advise you first to take a complete backup of your phone and then proceed.
Ensure that your phone has at least 50-60% charged to prevent the accidental shutdown in-between the process.
First, enable ‘USB debugging’ and ‘OEM Unlock’ option from setting > developer option > To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.

}
Install the ADB and fastboot driver for windows or ADB and Fastboot for Mac and then restart if you already have the driver installed then skip this step.
Visit Unlocking booloader page
Login with huawei Id or create new one
accept agreement and press next
Fill the given form it will ask you a product identification code, (to know that dial * # * # 1357946 # * # *) fill the MEI code and submit.
serial number of phone is available at Settings > About Phone > Status
IMEI is available at Settings > About Phone first IMEI should work fine if not use secon IMEI
View attachment 3938461
Now you have unlock code. Save it for later use.
Now go to ADB and Fastboot installation directory open ADB folder and open the command window there by pressing and hold the ‘shift’ key and right-clicked anywhere in that folder.
Now connect your phone to PC and reboot the device into fastboot mode by typing “adb reboot bootloader”.
Type “fastboot devices” in command prompt and hit enter, it gives you serial numbers in return means your phone connect properly.
To unlock bootloader of Huawei Honor 5X, type “fastboot oem unlock unlock-key”. Here replace unlock-key with the key you got from huawei portal. For example “fastboot oem unlock 21084949302847″.
Above step will Unlock Bootloader of Huawei Devices. To restart the system type “fastboot reboot”.This is the complete guide of how to unlock
This is the complete guide to unlock bootloader of any Huawei Devices.
2. Installing custom recovery TWRP
Huawei Y6ii is technically Huawei P8 lite so you may use below TWRP 3.0.2 Recovery for P8 Lite Marshmallow recovery that works absolutely fine as it is based on Kirin processor do not flash it if you Y6 ii is not based on Kirin
Requirements to install custom recovery
unlocked bootloader (follow the guide above)
enable OEM unlock to be enabled (goto settings > developer option > enable OEM unlock)
All credits goes to @XePeleato Iam not developer of this recovery
Download recovery
For those who's want or need look into the sources
Git Source
copy TWRP3.0.2.img to adb folder and rename it to recovery.img to flash easily
now issue below commands in fastboot mode
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
after successful installation of recovery then reboot to recovery
3. Installing SU
download superSU by chainfire
install donwloaded zip via TWRP
* this root is systemless root so it will not be wiped if you will install updates via OTA

Hi and thanks for the tutorial. The Huawei Y6 II (variant L-03) is among my purchase options (since it broke the screen of my Galaxy A5), and wanted to know if after doing this procedure did not give you any problem and if the Recovery works correctly, my question is mainly because the TWRP is the P8 Lite And while they have virtually identical hardware, there is always a risk. A hug.

Hi, the phone I bought is a P9 Lite. While it carries a Kirin processor, it is more current than the P8 Lite or the Huawei Y6II (specifically, it is a Kirin 650 and the GPU is Mali T830). Greetings.
So what do you folks think of the new Lenovo Smart Tab P10? I just ordered one because my LG G Pad 8.3 v500 is very long in the tooth and I finally just got tired of waiting for a good spec tablet with plenty of storage and memory to show up. It only has a midrange Snapdragon 450, but the storage a memory make up for that.

I was looking for a owners manual to read and found this. Looks like replacing the battery in the future won't be too bad. I'll cross my fingers and hope that the bootloader is unlockable.

I received my Lenovo Smart Tab P10 (TB-X705F) a few weeks ago. It's a nice tablet with good features. The only thing I'm struggling with is unlocking the bootloader. The developer options have the "Allow OEM unlocking" setting and I've enabled it, but no unlock commands are recognized when in fastboot mode. The error is "FAILED (Unknown command)". I've tried "fastboot oem unlock", "fastboot oem unlock-go", "fastboot flashing unlock" etc.
I hope Amazon didn't force Lenovo to lock down the bootloader because it has Alexa poopoo installed. I figure there will be a Chinese exploit for this and the LTE version eventually.
I couldn't stand Alexa and disabled it. I'm looking forward to TWRP so I can make a backup, root and install Adaway.
Same here....
Hey guys, I got the same issue, all unlock commands are unknown. Has anybody got a fix yet?
I had no problem with the bootloader, Tb-x704v. Install most recent https://devsjournal.com/download-minimal-adb-fastboot-tool.html it solved some of my issues.
I bought one a few weeks ago... No dock though. Seems ok, their os is pretty slim though, can't wait for some development.
it is project treble supported but still no lineage 16.1 (pie)? for lenovo tab P10 TB-X705L
Hi, you should be able to unlock bootloader with this command:
fastboot oem enable-unlock-once
TWRP
I installed the TWRP Builder app, but it couldn't extract the recovery image and build.prop file because I don't have root. Do you think that a TWRP recovery can be made from the older firmware in my first post? It has a recovery.img file, but couldn't find a build.prop file.

How do we get this device in to it's only device thread? When you search for it through "my device" in the xda app it doesn't come back with a correct result. Maybe it will also get more community development by doing that.
Any hope lineage 16.1 for lenovo tab P10
Hello all,
Any developments on this device. What are the chances of getting rid of the echo features and make it a Google assistant instead?
Can anybody share the alexa show mode apk? I'm downloading the firmware but it is taking ages
Any one been able to install the Google Now Launcher in this tablet? The Play Store message says that it's incompatible with this tablet.
Thanks for any assistance!
Did anybody try to unlock the bootloader in Linux?
I successfully rooted Z3 Play in Linux while it didn't work in Windows
Can anybody find full ROM in lollinet (where I can find Moto/Lenovo ROM)?
I've tried installing the stock images that are posted and keep getting a signature error using the recovery. I noticed that the image doesn't have a system.img but rather system_1.img-system_32.img. Is there a way to package the system files to install the new system? Having an issue with the OTA and it keeps wanting to install the PRN rather than the ROW image. Any thoughts?
Anyone successfully root this as of yet? Not seeing any TWRP for it or an approach.
I today received an update to Android 9 on my tablet. Was kind of surprised. Anyone else can confirm?
Update contains new "Le Tab UI".
so there is no way to root this tablet?

My tablet is rooted. I found a root solution a little while back, but I haven't posted it yet because it's not very user-friendly. Basically it requires that you do a fresh install of Oreo and it gets bricked on an OTA update. If you're interested in getting it rooted like that then send me a private message. If there's enough interest I'll create a root thread. I consider myself quite capable with Android but not a full expert. I'm really hurting without custom recovery and without a fastboot OEM unlock that works longer than once. That temporary unlock command successfully allows me to swap out the bootloader image but upon reboot it doesn't like the new image as it asks for a password that must be part of the bootloader security because it won't accept any passwords that I have set. Perhaps with a root thread we could all contribute to getting this working. I have two of P10s now so I'm able to test on my spare, but I don't have unlimited time to devote to this.
I know that a lot of people would be excited to get root on this device. I assure you sure you that it is possible. However, I don't want to start a thread with a solution that will force people to do a fresh install of Oreo and possibly lose data. And of course there's the problem with the OTA update which will brick the device. Of course everyone understands that they modify their device at their own risk, but I consider my root solution still a bit dirty and I was hoping at least to get it to accept OTA updates before I wrote up a root guide. I really think that if we could get a permanent bootloader unlock instead of a temporary unlock that we could get past this problem. And if somebody is out there that could make a TWRP image for this device, I think we would be golden as we could do a standard magisk root install via custom recovery.

I saw the page of the author of the steps of the unlocking method of the Lenovo k5 pro, and there's some differences. Maybe is for the differences in ROM?. By the way, could it safe to install chinnese version of the ROM if I unlock the bootloader?, There are a lot of updates in the chinnese ROM. Unfortunately there aren't any reviews of the ROM in youtube or forums, i think only three of us talk about this in this site, 4pda forum members are more focused in a discussion about sellesr of the phone and not in the phone itself, some other have lied trying to destroy the reputation of the phone. I like the phone, and it's very reliable, i haven't have any issues with it. I would like to test zui 5.0.188 st. Do you try it? or Do you know where to find info about this zui version? Have a nice day. I'm from Mexico too. I ordered my Lenovo phone from Sunsky, Have the model without the M in the back. And the ROM it said is global ROM. zui 5.0.66 st.

Hello paisano, exactly wich differences you saw in the guide?
I unlocked my phone on 5.0.117 ST, that's the "latest" ST version because I tested .118 ST and is the chinesse ROM (ENGLISH/CHINESSE LANGUAGES ONLY) but it comes with a lot of features and a better UI for the launcher and bug fixes, you can remove easily the bloatware. But I don't reccommend you unlocking bootloader on a chinesse or any other bloated ROM. Maybe thats the reason you say you saw differences in guide, because chinesse guys have to install speciffic version of their CN rom.
My reccommendation is to wait until a ROM is released, if you want to test, you can install .118 ST you can use magisk image to root, and if you don't like it you can downgrade to .117ST again, you only need the QFIL firmwares.
Sure, it's probably because of their CN specific ROM, then I would try the other one. Although i was hopping to install the CN. I want to get rid of the google apps, and installed again but only with the gmail, google maps, and playstore, that way only those google apps would be running in the system. And Chinnese ROM, like you said, is more easy to delete chinnese bloatware. Then proceed to install those google app that i have mentioned befored. I haven't installed the CN ROM because the seller told me that it could be some modem and imei compatibility issues. Then, should i move to 117/118 st? Or wait and stay in the .066 st? What improvements does the zui 5.0.117(.118) have that zui 5.0.066 st doesn't have? please. Because, unlike other phones, our models have less/nothing info about the OS (zui) features and improvements. I don't know how the .117 was build, because the global rom supposedly supports OTA but it said no updates. And Chinnese ROM users have got stable updates, they are now in the .188 st. And probably they could got a Pie upgrade zui (android 9).

I almost forgot brother, i'm going to read carefully your guide, and do it. But i was thinking if you agree that i make a video following the guide, for reference to others, about unlock, root and unroot, and TWRP installation. Maybe you, the user who share us the root method, and I would be the west pioneers of the phone, because, really, only the three us have focused in discussing about this matter, like a said before 4pda only are discussing about sellers of the phone, and other spamming with the intention to lower the popularity of the phone. Thank you very much for this guide you prepare. I'm being cautious because i'm really a newbie in this matter about lenovo phones. Other phones are more easy to play with it and improve it. This phone is very strong in its performance and durability, so learn how to use it at its maximum it would be great!.
Good afternoon.
I apologize in advance: I do not know English, so I use machine translation.
What phone model did You unlock? I have a model with 4/64 memory and Motorola logo on the back cover. 4pda from words to action: trying to follow Your guide. My problem is that zui.com doesn't give me an unlock code: it doesn't understand my IMEI. Errors in the IMEI no - it is on the box, and the code *#06# it matches the box. S/n - 6 characters.
And what to do with it - I don't know.

Hello:
The IMEI that you need is the one that has 15 digits. Also you need your s/n, and you need a valid email (it can be gmail, outlook, etc...). You need to enter the captcha numbers that appears below (it has time limit, so if it throws you an error message, refresh it).
Also, important to mention. It's better not to have modified the phone, i'm talking about modifications that could alter the IMEI. Until know that only modification could be installing the CN ROM instead of the ROW ROM. And its a probability, it's an advice that the seller gave me.
So you are a 4pda forum member, I too. So could you gave them this recommendation for me please. I bought the phone from SUNSKY, the 4/64 GB version. It only took 1 labor week to be in my house. I'm from Mexico, so the distance were big, but this seller ships fast. I choose the dhl express option, by recommendation of the seller.
Greetings KiiKep!
I'm ready to do the flash and record the process. I want to confirm the order to upgrade the phone. First is install .117 stock > unblock bootloader > root device. Is that order correct?

You'll laugh, but the Russian technical support of Lenovo all pretend that such a phone does not exist. And the serial number is not in the database! And in Russian forum about this phone is not in the database! And my question is about the unlock I was threatened by the ban...
But it was something else. I bought a phone as a gift to my wife. To give the right did not, at first, decided to unlock. NOT INSERTED SIM CARD!!! Last put them, and this morning it was just as necessary: request received, the unlock code sent.

Hello KiiKerp
I have installed QPST tools, by the way, where do you downloaded the 118 st? I haven't find it yet, only appears 117 st in all my searchs in google. By the way. Could i backup nandroid and modem in QPST tools without root? Or i need to root my phone while being in my current firmware (5.0.066 st). I am asking, because i have read in 4pda forums that some guys lost their IMEI1 in the process of installing TWRP. So I am thinking if i could backup my image or at least the nandroid and modem (all the QCN) before doing any modifications.
Are you sure is 118 s? I think maybe is 188 st. By the way, i have see in cn forums that there is a new stable room. Do you have install 117st and 118 st without any issues like lost your IMEI, bluethoot fails , etc...? Thanks in advanced.
WARNING
ALl Data will be wiped , so backup all data in advance .
Phone must be charged above 60% .
You might loose warranty on unlocking bootloader .
Also neither I nor XDA will be responsible for any loss or damage that occurs to your device
OverviewUnlocking Bootloader is the first step to rooting your phone , unlocking new capabilities and instaling custom ROM , Kernel and Recovery but it has its own peril like loss of Widevine L1 certification , Safteynet failure and in extreme cases reduced camera capablities .
Requirements
A PC
Indian variant of Realme GT NEO 2 and USB type C cable
Device should be on RUI 2.0 based in Android 11 with Latest software update
Steps
Simply Install the
For RUI2(Android 11) DeepTestApkOld, For RUI3(Android 12) DeepTestApkNew
Open Deep Testing App , read and agree to TOS
Click on Apply Now button it will say Application Submitted please wait
After 10 minutes open Deep Testing App and go to Query Approval Status
Skip to step 8 if adb&fastboot already installed on systemNow hopefully it should say DeepTesting approved .
Install adb-fastboot setup (Windows only)
Go to C:\adb folder , press shift and right click open Powershell window here .
In deep testing app after selecting query approval status , tap on start deep testing button Now your phone will reboot to fastboot mode
Connect phone via USB to PC
And in the power shell window opened in step 7 enter fastboot devices then press enter key (It should show your device name , If it does not then reinstall drivers)
Now in powershell enter fastboot flashing unlock then press enter key
Your device will reboot and show warning use volume button to select Yes Unlock Bootloader
After this phone will reboot twice don't do anything and after 5 to 10 minutes your phone will restart with fresh installation , wisely read and agree to terms and complete the setup
Now your device bootloader is unlocked .
My suggestion would be to not root or unlock bootloader right now
Be patient and when it is clear what are the hidden disadvantages then you can decide If you should unlock bootloader or not
After Unlocking bootloader I have confirmed that
1) Widevine degraded to L3 ( no more HD videos on OTT apps) .However Indian devices don't loose L1 key
2) Front Camera is taking less detailed photo (and hanging in GCam , maybe GCam fault )
3) GPS is taking more time to get a fix
4) Charging speed is not affected .

After Unlocking bootloader I have confirmed that
1) Widevine degraded to L1 ( no more HD videos on OTT apps) .
2) Front Camera is taking less detailed photo (and hanging in GCam , maybe GCam fault )
3) GPS is taking more time to get a fix
4) Charging speed is not affected .

oh no my netflix. By the way, I'm gonna try to change my region following the new guide here in the forum and will see how it will affect Widevine.
