Nexus Touch stopped working. Help!!! - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My nexus 5 touch screen suddenly stopped working and now I cant even unlock my phone.First I thought that is from software error and I flashed stock rom from fastboot. But it is not because of software. It is still not working.Any suggestion to fix this??

Was the phone ever dropped?
Did you try locking and unlocking the bootloader to see if touch responds when unlocking the bootloader?

@audit13 he flashed stock rom with fastboot, so it means thst he has unlocked bl.
Try putting a piece of tape or paper between flex cable and lcd driver board. It helped me when i was using my old screen

I suggested relocking and unlocking the bootloader to test the touch capability in fastboot. I believe you have to use the screen to select "Yes" to unlock.

Nexus 5 Can Access Fastboot but Blank Screen Otherwise.

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a Nexus 5, and it's a great phone. However, today when I was trying to turn it on the phone simply wouldn't turn on. I figured out that it actually was turning on, but the screen was blank. The backlight was lit, but it was black. The bootloader is locked, and when I try to unlock it the screen goes blank again. I was trying to flash stock android on it to see if that would help, but alas it hasn't so far because I can't get the bootloader unlocked. I was using this thread,http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...ide-nexus-5-how-to-unlock-bootloader-t2507905, to try to unlock the bootloader. Basically, I downloaded all the stuff he said to download and followed the guide. I was able to get my CMD to say the bootloader process finished unlocking, but when I do fastboot reboot the screen stays blank and the computer doesn't pick it back up to reboot it. This is a really weird issue, and I was just wondering if anyone could possibly assist me with it. Also, sorry for the minor wall of text, but I didn't know how else to describe it.
Thanks!

Try to reflash stock rom with lg flashtool. Link in my signature. If you have D820 32GB then you can use the converted tot file. It was tested 3-4 times by others and I havent got any negative feedback about it.

Broken, non-working touch screen - how to relock bootloader, reset tamper flag?

My nexus 5's display somehow cracked while it was in my pocket. The glass itself is not cracked - the display and touch related components underneath the glass cracked. I don't really understand how it happened, but it did. The screen is now totally unusable. The display is super garbled. It didn't register touch before; now it seems to register touch, but it's totally unpredictable and seems to register touches randomly for no reason. It seems to be covered under warranty since the display wasn't destroyed by a drop and there's no obvious problem with the glass, but I'm trying to reset the phone to stock everything before sending it back to Google.
I managed to use wugfresh's toolkit to reset the phone to stock via fastboot (flash stock rom + unroot). I still need to lock the bootloader. For whatever reason, that option in Wugfresh toolkit doesn't appear to be working for me from fastboot (it tries to boot the modified boot.img, but then my phone just ends up booting into the installed rom).
I would like to lock the bootloader in a way that resets the tamper flag. Most of the guides I see talk about needing to boot into TWRP via fastboot and flashing the BootUnlocker script. I can't actually do that though because 1) my touchscreen doesn't work, so I can't use TWRP , and 2) I'm not sure how I would get the BootUnlocker script onto my phone's internal storage, given that I can't finish the phone's set up to get storage working, nor can I enable USB debugging mode, because that would require using the screen.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to reset the bootloader and the tamper flag from fastboot alone, without a working touchscreen?
Thanks!
I don't think Google mind if you have an unlocked bootloader as far as warranty goes, especially since its pretty blatantly not a software issue. The easiest way to do what you want is to learn how to use fastboot properly instead of a toolkit, this forum has lots of tutorials. Then flash a factory image, and use the oem lock command. If you use minimal ADB and fastboot as your setup, it'll take you maybe a half hour with a bit of a reading, and you'll know how to fix any software issues yourself in future.

Please Help !. HTC One Mini stuck in BOOTLOADER Menu

My HTC One mini swtiched off a couple of days ago and since then only load to bootloader menu no matter what I click or do. It goes also automatically to this screen as soon as I plug it with the charger even if did not press the on/off key.
I tried to unlock the bootloader according to the instructions on HTCDev.com site. Everythings work till the last step, as no menu appear on my phone asking me if I want to unlock the bootloader or not.
I also tried to use RUU to install a new Firmware. The phone showes a black screen for a couple of seconds and then restart again to bootloader screen. I got an error afterwards.
The phone was running on a stock firmware, no root, no custom recovery, or any other thing.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem. It seems my phone has no OS or something like that.

I seem to be in the same situations... although I got to it in a different way. Where did you download the RUU from? is it version-main: 4.14.401.2 or higher?
Try: rootwiki dot net and search for htc one mini bootlocker unlock....this helped me to UNLOCK and put TWRP recovery on it... maybe it gets you a step closer.

Brick - Fastboot not working

Hi all,
I bricked my device. I was doing a rollback from 380, the rollback package went fine than I used dload to install 131 , it went to 55% then an error occured - the phone was supposed to reboot but nothing happened. The phone does not respond to any combinations of buttons and I can't manage to wake it up in any way. Does anyone have this issue? Many thanks
me too, but after many methods i found the bootloader locked even if show unlocked, and i use "HCU Client" and spend 4$ to show me new bootloader unlock code ... and after that I unlocked bootloader and flash "Boot, Recovery, System, Cust"
But will I able to do anything / unlock the bootloader if the phone is not reacting to anything? It is not seen by the computer or does not wake up to any button combinations?

HCU can't see my device unfortunately
Ok. My phone was repaired under warranty. They changed the motherboard as well as the screen. It went well after all...
