Hi everyboby,
I'm new to the world of rooting and beyond. Just bought a LG G2 F320K (Korean version) a few weeks ago. The phone came with Android 4.2.2 Kitkat. Upgraded to 5.0.1 through OTA (the present software version is F320K30j, Android 5.0.1). I tried to root the phone with one-click method (LG_One_Click_Root_v1.3.msi). The phone was reportedly rooted but SuperSU did not show up automatically. I downloaded the SuperSU from the PlayStore only to find out that there was no su binary installed and SuperSU couldn't install it. I've tried to find out how to install the binary and found out that the only way to do it is to flash a zip file which in turn needs a custom recovery, which in turn needs the phone to be rooted (Isn't that funny!) I've tried manually root the phone by using the LG Root tool with no success (the phone refused to carry out the last command) . Is there anyway to solve this problem? Thank you.
Hi There,
I have come close to getting Xposed framework to work on my Canadian variant of the LG Stylo LG-H636.
As there is no custom recovery and I'm not sure about bootloader unlocking, but with no custom recovery it made the process a bit more annoying.
I started by rooting with kingroot, then used a guide to show me how to switch from king user to Superuser because in order to flash Xposed framework I need Flashfire, and in order to use Flashfire I need to be using SuperSU.
So after switching it to SuperSU Binary I registered and installed the Flashfire app.
This is where I am having problems; I don't know what Xposed Framework to use for my LG-H636. There are download options on the Xposed download page that are for my Android L 5.0.2. So I downloaded x86, and ARM, and ARM64, I tried them all by flashing with Flashfire but Still can't get Xposed framework running.
I get the error that Xposed framework is not installed when I go to the app and download a module.
Flashfire seems to say "Done!" after the ARM version is flashed, but not with the others. It just says "Flashing..." and ..."rebooting". I still don't know what one to use. Anyone know the proper Xposed to use?
I thought I was getting close to having some fun on this phone, whereas before I tried all this I only had the option of stock and root.
Question; does anyone out there know the proper Xposed Framework I should be using? I think I've tried them all and still not working. Is there an easier way to get GravityBox LP working? That's actually why I started doing all this!
I'm running Android L 5.0.2, rooted with King Root and switched to SuperSU, flashing Xposed Framework ZIP with Flashfire.
Thanks a bunch!
Yes I'm rooted and everything but whenever i try i bootloops and i have to flash the uninstaller. Has anyone else had any luck and if the regular expose doesn't work will systemless work? Also I'm using the cricket version if that means anything.
I'm using cricket 6045O, currently on SPB 2.1 and I'm currently rooted and flashed xposed no issues here. What version of xposed are you using and what mm rom are you on?
Yep, currently working for me.
I've flashed lastest SuperSU - (2.76) through TWRP, then installed material xposed and flashed the 64-bit arm zip that it downloads.
Greetings
Have problem rooting updated nougat for FRD-L09* 360
Have installed twrp 3.0.3 and patch the chainfire's latest root - su files or phh, but still no way to get it rooted.
Feedback if any1 else have the same symptoms and solution.
Thanks.
Regards.
Hi @StratOS_HTC
Nice to see you again (coming from the Core 2)
I have the B380 and rooted it with this prerooted image:
forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/twrp-t3566563/post71274057
Try it with that prerooted boot-image. If it doesn't work try this older prerooted boot-image:

pHH's changed boot img and app works flawless ROOT
While CF's changed boot.img cause bootloops / system loops.
While changing the fastboot.img got bricked my phone - Were unable to turn it on, no USB connections possible, donno how the TWRP recovery accidently turned on ... No clue about it.
Got it back.
Need some feedback about CF's root. any1 has sent him a boot img's ?
Looking forward for cf's SU for HONOR ...
Is prerooted really the only way to go? I installed B380 today and thought there was a way to root with SuperSU. Must have misunderstood since the Emui5 version of SuperSU doesnt work for me. It installs just fine but then the app says "no binaries installled"..
It's not the pre-rooted, it's only modified boot image with changed security and other init stuff that the root app can use it.
PHH's is working great, CF's will go on ...
Ok. Which of the two links above did you use?
Edit:
If someone else out there had the same question, I followed the first link and downloaded the rooted boot img provided by @Atarii.
I was on B380, unlocked with TWRP 3.0.3 and flashed the rooted_b378_boot.img via adb. Worked like a charm. Then rooted with phhs superuser from Play store.
Stratos how do i check if my phone is model l09 or something else? My Honor 8 is dual sim that means its the version L19?
Do you know any way to install a working twrp + root l19 on nougat?
Hi all,
Have recently gotten a Pixel 2 (walleye). And was hoping to root it and have ViperAudio and Busy Box installed. I had a Magisk root but I could not install Busybox and there where issues installing the ViperAudio, Mainly drivers.
Was hoping there would be a full tutorial on how to root it properly and install VIperAudio and Busy Box?.
Am currently running on the stock November update with the boot loader unlocked.
Cheers
