Here's the video of Battery Test between Z Play and S7 Edge and Iphone7:

Thanks!
Being king of endurance doesn't make the phone the overall king.
I come easily through the day with the S7 edge and combined with IP-cert and flagship power the S7E wins the match for me! If you consider that the Z play has roughly the same capacity (3,510 mAh vs 3,600 mAh) while the screen does only 1080p, the cpu is a SD 625 and there's 1 GB RAM less it does not surprise that it lasts longer.

ohk?
moto z play rocks. i actually wanted to get a Z play but the prices were a bit high in my country when it comes to motorola devices and it was 2 month before s8 reveal so there was a price cut on s7. anyway Z Play is a beast when it comes to battery endurance.

hi guys so thought of opening this thread to see ur openions on reasons to get the new Note and if its worth buying for you
for me i would defently get it and my reasons are
Big screen
S-pen
Leather back and beautiful design
and i think the new battery will be a lot lot better than my S3's
I have only one reason, to give me as a christmas gift the Note 3-> i'am on a HOX now
my reason is simple "because my note1 is old and start to make problems"
I am very interested in the Note 3 if the battery shows it can get a full day's use in a single charge. My RAZR Maxx HD has spoiled me... I don't need 48 hours but I do need around 16 hours with heavy usage - 4 to 5+ hours of screen on time.

The Note 3 should get around 5-7 hours on screen time easily.

I think the extra four hours of video playback that Samsung quoted at the launch event are going to turn out to be true. Not because of some Samsung wizardry or a slightly larger battery but because of the efficiency of S-800. Here are some excerpts from Anandtech's battery review of the S-800 LG G2. Samsung's better with s/w than LG so I'd expect even better performance from the N3. Obviously comparing a LCD and AMOLED panel 1:1 isn't appropriate and typically AMOLED does better on dark colors (video) and LCD does better on light colors (web browsing). But the percentage gains Brian talks about in the review comparing the similar G1<>G2 should apply to the N2<>N3; maybe even more so because Exynos 4 is a far older design than the S4 Pro in the G1.
One of the things Qualcomm promised would come with Snapdragon 800 (8974) (and by extension the process improvement with 28nm HPM) was lower power consumption, especially versus Snapdragon 600 (8064). There are improvements throughout the overall Snapdragon 800 platform which help as well, newer PMIC (PM8941) and that newer modem block onboard as well, but overall platform power goes down in the lower performance states for Snapdragon 800. In addition the G2 has a few unique power saving features of its own, including display GRAM (Graphics RAM) which enables the equivalent of panel self refresh for the display. When the display is static, the G2 can run parts of the display subsystem and AP off and save power, which they purport increases the mixed use battery life case by 10 percent overall, and 26 percent compared to the actively refreshing display equivalent. In addition the G2 has a fairly sizable 3000 mAh 3.8V (11.4 watt-hour) battery which is stacked to get the most out of the rounded shape of the device, and utilizes LG's new SiO+ anode for increased energy density compared to the conventional graphite anode.
Our battery life test is unchanged, we calibrate the display to exactly 200 nits and run it through a controlled workload consisting of a dozen or so popular pages and articles with pauses in between until the device dies. This is repeated on cellular and WiFi, in this case since we have an international model of the G2 that lacks the LTE bands used in the USA, that's 3G WCDMA on AT&T's Band 2 network. I've tested 3G battery life on devices concurrently for a while now in addition to LTE though, so we still have some meaningful comparisons. The most interesting comparisons are to the Optimus G (APQ8064) and HTC One (APQ8064T) previous generation.
The G2 also charges very fast for its battery size. I've been profiling charging behavior and current for devices for a while now, since I strongly believe that battery life and charging speed are complimentary problems. You should always opportunistically charge your smartphone, being able to draw as much while you have access to a power outlet is critical. The G2 can negotiate a 2A charge rate on my downstream charge port controller and charges very fast in that mode. Of course the PM8941 PMIC also includes some new features that Qualcomm has given QuickCharge 2.0 branding.

In addition, Samsung's implemented Qualcomm's Envelope Tracker chip in the N3 which (supposedly) is good for a 25% overall battery life savings because of enhanced management of radio signals.
The Note contains a Qualcomm chip called an envelope tracker, which will dramatically reduce the amount of power needed to run its LTE radio. We’re going to see this technology in a lot more devices.http://gigaom.com/2013/09/05/thanks...xy-note-3s-huge-screen-wont-kill-its-battery/
It's true, it's not the battery. My Moto X with a 2100 battery can easily get 4-6 hours on screen time.

i hope that goes for the exynos version 2 because the 5210 was a fail so hoping the newer one will be better
my reason is because it can do everything the s4 can and even more on a larger screen, with a pen you can carry inside the phone!
My reasons to get N3-
1. Large Screen.
2. SoC - Preferring Snapdragon but i am afriad i will wind up getting the one Exynos.
3. RAM - Dude 3GB? The desktop i am using right now is having 2 GB RAM
4. Good Developer Support
5. I was fascinated by the leather touch given by sammy.
6. 13MP Camera is enough for me as i own Canon SX50 HS too.
7. Gonna pair the N3 with Gear.
Well this are my reasons, but to each his own..
N3 is gonna rule . \m/

I have been interested in the Note since the first one but was more a fan of HTC devices and was unsure with how large it was. When I switched to Sprint (bad idea) I went with the EVO 4G LTE which I like but its starting to show its age and now that pretty much all HTC devices are going the iPhone route and not allowing you to swap out the battery or add memory I started looking more at the Note 2 and Verizon. I like the large screen and like the overall feel of the phone. Doing a little research and holding out I am now very excited to go away from Sprint and their complete lie of LTE services in my area and to Verizon and a Note 3. HTC makes some nice phones but I am ready to try something else. Hope I will be able to root it the day I get it though.
I'm getting it because I want it and need it Upgrading my phone every yr is a must.
Hey guys i am an gonna go for engineering this year
I need a tablet in 2-3 weeks
Minimum requirement:
9-10 inch screen
Good display
Fast processor
About 32gb total memory
Good battery atleast 5-6 hours web surfing
I would be doing a lot of web surfing and gaming on it
Games like gta, nfs, candy crush, asphalt , few shooting games too
Taking notes sometimes
Budget is no problem but would like to spend less than 50000 rupees approx. $800
Will be buying from india
Pls suggest a tablet
Nexus 10: google.de/nexus/10/
If you can live with a slightly smaller screen: iPad Mini or Nexus 7(2nd edition)
I have the Nexus 7 1st edition(so 2nd should be even better) and use it for engineering school. The screen is pretty good(though cracked now-.-), it's fast, 32GB, pretty cheap for what you get. You can't however put in an SD card :/ But OTG USB Stick.
No problem with 5-6 hours surfing. I played both GTA 3 and GTA Vice City on it. Note taking is a bit of a hassle, since you can't use a proper pen. I just typed in my notes with a keyboard and used my finger to draw... If you want something with a pen, my friend has a Galaxy Nexus 10.1 and as far as I've seen, it works very well.
I cant do with a smaller screen thats the problem
I need a 10 inch
Thanks i ll check nexus 10
How about taking a look at Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5220....

Wow! $800 Dollars on a tablet?! that would be nice, i think you would be Perfectly fine with the Samsung Galaxy note 10.1" or 12.2" the 12.2" is around $749 on amazon while the 10.1" is around $500, both have a 1.9ghz octa core processor, i think both start at 32gigs, great displays.
You can also try the xperia z tablet, or if you are patient- wait for the release of the xperia z2

But pls tell which one is better note or xperia z or ipad air
They all have some pros and cons- so it pretty much depends on yor personal taste and main requirements. Here is a very good comparison made by GSMArena (with separate review for each one): http://m.gsmarena.com/tablet_shopping_guide_december_2013-review-1019p6.php
If money isn't the issue, than the new note10.1 is my first choice

Hi, What about "eye-teeth"?
Like most other Elephone handsets, it has taken months after its initial announcement before being available. Why does Elephone make so many different handsets every year? All they need is an entry level, mid and high end phone. But because of their needing to announce a new phone almost every month, everything gets put on the back burner. The Vowney was originally meant to hit stores on 25th June. It missed that deadline, as well as August and September, and is due to be released in late October. All that messing about drives prospective customers to other brands, the Meizu MX5, Redmi Note 2 and Doogee F5 for example.
I'm also quite drawn to the LeTv Max. Now theres a phone that just screams quality at you. And a price to match.
So get the finger out Elephone.
Hi folks, my vowney has arrived 3 days ago and I have to say that a fantastic smartphone apparently but : 1) there is a battery problem there, perhaps screen or helio X10 absorb so much energy so I can't arrive until to dinner... How I can solve this? rooting and use cpu root? waiting from elephone an optimization? 2) my vowney this morning dead so I had an hard reset wiping alla data..
So no good..
I'm thinking to sell it... What do you thinking ?
thank you
What is your score in antutu guys?
Mine is over 29000 . it should be over 50000 in reviews.
Also thinking about selling
No CyanogenMod, no party. This is a buying point for a lot of people.
With CM you get (muuuch) longer battery life, though.
Received the Vowney Lite in grey yesterday and the first impressions are great. - Bought it as replacement for my Xiaomi Mi3.
A first short and quick overview - played around a bit
- Fantastic build quality i did'nt expect. Love the rough back cover. Feels great in hand.
- GPS, wifi, bluetooth locking quick.
- Stable and fast connection
- Antutu 46420
- Smooth lagless stock-like ROM
- Oddworld Stranger's Wrath work smooth with no lag
- Great camera
- Good battery - approximately 5 hrs onscreen with clash of clans, sygic navigation, playstore, whatsapp, ect and 27% left
- Dont miss the 2k display, 4gb RAM and 32gb storage - 3gb RAM and 16gb storage with 64gb sd card are fine too. And the display is great.
- Data speed rate laptop to phone internal storage/sd card is great - 4-8 times faster than with my Mi3
Miss root and custom Roms but to build a community for vowney we have to show a bit patience.
And CM battery life with Xiaomi Mi3 is not better than with ASOP!
The Kernel make the difference but vowney's build-in power consumption do a fine job.
Whre did you buy the Vowney Lite?
Is it the new version, with the rough dark grey back cover material, like the P9000 has?
Can you please sent a link to the shop, where you ordered it?
Greetings,
Frank
Bought the grey version at tinydeal. Link below.
Considered if I should buy the phone but it was the only one which meet all the specs I need.
Storage, NFC, RAM, LTE 800 (Band 20 which is not provided by the most Chinese Phones), NO overheating, Battery, Display, GPS (using Sygic, lock after 1-2 seconds, no signal lost)......
ELEPHONE VOWNEY LITE: 219.89€
DHL Worldwide Express: 6.94€
Customs tax: 31€
http://www.tinydeal.com/elephone-vowney-lite-55-lcd-mtk6795-64-bit-android-51-4g-phone-p-156895.html
I like the phone. It took 6 months to get it arrived, however it was worthy. It has exactly what I need. A big screen, plenty power, no bloat ware. Read my full review in other thread. Regarding battery life, I am quite impress, it is steady 5 days, I would say more like 6 days, I could barely get 4 days on my Galaxy S3. I hope they will improve a camera application and also fix playback to external DAC.
5 days???
Only one for me, as an iPhone, but with more efficience !
5 days?? I couldn't get more than half a day of battery life out of my Vowney, until I switched governor.
Also, the device used to heat up, due to excessive power use.
After I switched from Interactive to Ondemand, all is fine. Still more than 20% left when I go to bed.
Powersave is great also, makes the battery last much longer. My last phone slowed down to a crawl on Powersave, but the Vowney is fast enough to pull this off. You won't notice the slowdown, until you try playing a game... So I'll stick with Ondemand, which is fine for me.
Huawei Mate 20 Lite which has better battery life (3750mAh), but it's a little too big for me (158.2 x 77.2) VS. Samsung Galaxy S10e which has less battery (3100mAh), but it's smaller which is better for me (142.2 x 69.9).
Other than the battery and size, I like both phones equally, but I'm looking for something long-term because I'm not huge on phones and don't want to get a replacement every other year. I've had my current phone for years, but I have to replace it because I dropped it in the toilet and the battery drains faster than the speed of light, oops.
I also don't want the phone to lag or freeze.
On Samsung's website, or google fi's website, they said the capacity of z flip 4's battery is 3700 mah, but actually the two batteries are at 2,555 mAh and 1,040 mAh respectively. Combined, that adds up to 3,595 mah, 105 mah less.
Feel like samsung took us as clawn.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 battery certification all but confirms a fairly big upgrade
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is looking like an exciting release from Samsung, and it seems the battery will be better with a pretty huge boost.
9to5google.com
It would be ok if samsung put 3600 mah in their ads, but 3700 is too far.
What can we do?
Every year I see these posts. Samsung rates there device a little higher because every battery is different. Most battery's hold more or less. 3595 signs like a good healthy battery. Samsung also has battery protection built in since the note 7 days. A full battery to the brim isn't healthy
