So I received my Nexus 4 Bumper today. I was using the Ringke Slim case which was a defective because of the warping of the side near the volume button. Also today I received the replacement for the slim case so I decided to make a faceplate to add onto the bumper. The back is nice with its patterned dots but for now I am going for protection until there are better screen protectors out there.
Decided to cut the defective case to be a faceplate for the back of my phone. Still experimenting how much to cut the side but this is what I have. Some problems so far is that it gives it an extra thickness to what Google originally had for the bumper. So when holding the phone on the edge it has this popping feel. If I cut more of the side of the case this might eliminate the problem. You still get the lipped edge around the screen. Buttons still work but I didn't get the nice satisfying click. But I will work with the sides of the faceplate again

Well I was experimenting with it too much and cut the case where it doesn't fit as nicely compared to before. You need some kind of edge around so it doesn't simply fall out of the bumper. Just experiment as you go and place the faceplate then your phone in

I was checking out the ballistic and Siedo case discussion on this section and a gentleman presented this case. Neither him or I have this case but just look at it. If you really need the highest level of protection then this case seems to be it!

One of the sellers is German.
I ordered a black + blue one a few days ago so I should recieve it in a few days. I also spotted a white + pink one too. I was impressed by the cheap Exact armor case I got from amazon, so I have high expectations on this one.
what do u do for a living, remove land mines?
I too have the 4 dollar exact Armor case from amazon and it's very well built I dropped my phone this morning on the way to the bathroom (about a e feet fall into my foot) and it survived pretty well! I wonder if this could be the case that I would be using to go to the gym with though. I would have to find a way to attach it to my bicycle. Nothing duct tape can't resolve!

Get a RAM XGrip mount for your bike and it will fit any phone in any case (except maybe a Note 2).
Another heavy-duty case here.

Got the lime green one today, think it absolutely rocks, all I will say is the lime green seems to give the camera a green tint, now I have only seen it once and not sure if it was the lighting conditions, but it is something to think about.
hated this case. Haven't used it once.

The suction effect is disappointing to me. Otherwise a very nice case.
Would you mind posting pictures on how the phone looks with red Cruzerlite on? Have you seen or tried out the new design (andy-circuit-case) for the Nexus 4? And does the suction effect wear off at some point? Or is it just really blatantly obvious with only certain colors? Sorry for asking so many questions but I'm really curious lol.

I don't think the suction effect wears off because the back of the phone is glass ..the lighter the color the more obvious it is. I was thinking maybe the old baby powder trick might get rid of that ..gonna try it later on
The colors you see on the video are the only ones I actually have.

Just got the new CruzerLite cases for the nexus 4 and they look incredible and fit snug and perfect holes for all buttons. Attaching pictures of them. They have a nice lip on the top so you can place phone upside down w no worries of touching glass. Definitely with the $12.90 price each.

Got the bugified case today, fits great! I got the clear one, although it looks gray on the website. Very happy with my purchase, it took only 3 days to get here, out of the regular estimated delivary of 5-7 days. Here's a pic of the back.

What are you talking about? Those volume and power buttons are nicely tucked inside the case openings with a lip around them just like the lip all around the top to protect the front glass.

I have the androidified case on my N4 as well, i love the look of it and the price at $13 was nice. I generally have no gripes about the case, however I need more protection and this is just merely a stopgap until a seidio active case/holster combo is available

"tucked in" does not equal "protected", not to mention the additional large openings provide that many more areas for dust and minute debris to enter the case (and yes, I've had this happen to me so I know it can happen). But back to the buttons themselves, as an example, take the Poetic Atmosphere case. While I will say that one does not provide the moderate shock/breakage protection that classic TPU case does, it does fully cover the buttons, and even more importantly, it goes a long way toward making the buttons easier to find and to press (which on the N4 is very helpful). Either way, none of these cases provide the grip, protection, overall feel of the Seidio Active case, not even a contest in those areas. Over the last few years I've found that this case provides maximum protection, without the over-the-top bulk of, for example, the Otterbox.

Neat! I wish Taurus would make aluminum bumpers for the S4 ,I loved mine for the s2,..only needed that bumper , screw it on you could take the back battery cover off with the case still on,...made it so easy to switch batteries,..and was very sturdy

The good thing on this, is the price. Taurus maybe is better but much more expensive and more bulky. No screws on this, only slide frame

I would recommend going with a bumper that takes screws instead of the slide on bezel. The slide on bezel tends to slide off and get things caught in it.

Dangit... I had made up my mind not to get a bumper and to get the NEO.... now I might have to get that thing.
I wonder if they will have different colored back plates. Preferably made out of the same premium material and not just some garbage rubber. That would be cool.

I'd like to get a couple of the other colors to alternate. Preferably OEM, even if it's go the other carrier logos.
EDIT: I'd take even slick metallic backs like the LG G4, at least vinyl skins would stick flat on that one. Like the Moto Nexus 6 has those "natural" skins made of leather, cork, or football leather.

All great suggestions..... In addition to those suggestions I would like to add a duraskin cammo in different shades and patterns. With the rugged good looks and build of the LG V10 I think it would be a welcome addition.

The backs look cheap to me, I'll wait for an oem back even though they will certainly be more expensive. Would love to see other colors and patterns for the oem backs as well as wireless charging and nfc.

Have you guys seen the stickers for Qi charging floating around on ebay? I got one for my lg g3 and it worked perfectly with the stock back. I just peeled off the old one and popped on the new one an bam. I only ask because im not sure exactly when they are called or what i would search for on ebay.

Nice digging. I've seen these before on Amazon, but more on Ebay.
Skinomi Tech skins are another alternative, bugt they're just skins. I might go this route and add a clear case.
