Maybe can, you have US version MM? Why after rollback you instal US version? Model rollback was NRD900... and thats something like international and after you must install correct package uff, I think this will be strange. Probably you able to install US Nougat if you have now US version MM

Official Nougat firmware for Honor 8 (FRD-L04; USA)

Hi,
Does anybody know when the official Nougat firmware will be available for the Honor 8 US Model (FRD-L04)?
I received the Nougat update via OTA back in February but downgraded to Marshmallow due to battery drain issues. I haven't received the update via OTA again, so I'm looking for official Nougat firmware to try it manually.

I had the same problem just wipe cache in recovery and wipe data of the system update app.

It is available, I have the B385 OTA update on my FRD-L04. Maybe check on your PC with HiSuite if the update can't be found from your device.

You can try Firmware finder to have the latest firmware.
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
I received OTA Update of B385 on my L04 couple of months back in Karachi, Pakistan
I have downgraded multiple times to Marshmallow and have always reviewed the OTA update.
Incase you're not recieving it, unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP. Then use Firmware Finder to download the firmware shown in the screenshot below. Flash all the downloaded files using TWRP. You will be updated to nougat without wiping anything.
(In future, remember that all firmwares that end with PV can be flashed using TWRP)
Thanks for the suggestion on using FirmwareFinder.
I tried different packages from FirmwareFinder but the installation stops at around 5-6% and throws an error saying it's not compatible, even though I seem to have selected a FRD-L04 compatible Nougat package. So I gave up on that.
I'm a bit surprised to read comments that OTA update has been pushed even after downgrading to MarshMallow several times. I downgraded sometime around March and haven't received OTA update not even once (in the US).

Are you using Firmware Finder proxy / DNS method to install update or simply using dload?

Ah dload won't work to install the Nougat update.
As I said, unlock the bootloader and flash TWRP recovery. Then install those zip files from TWRP as you would install a custom ROM. However, instead of installing B360, you can install B385 update to be on the latest version. Use Firmware Finder to download the update but ensure that the update is FullOTA-MF-PV as shown in the screenshot attached.
Or if you don't want to unlock the bootloader, then no problem. When you hit the firmware in Firmware Finder, along with Download there are other options too. Select 'Get an update through DNS' and follow the instructions.

You won't get any Nougat upgrade notification until you update your device up to B162 which is the last MM version for your FRD-L04C567.
If your device is stock and locked you just need to push the B162 FullOTA (version 66280) using Firmware Finder proxy installation method. Then you should get the B360 update notification. But if for some weird reason the notification doesn't come up automatically, then go ahead and push the B360 FullOTA (version 72309) using the same FF proxy method. For B385 (version 83098) it will be the same procedure.
I've done it myself before and it works.

This is the method that finally worked for me!
I updated to B162 via Firmware Finder and then I got the B360 update automatically.
Thanks a lot!

[SOLVED] Messed up big time.

well me being a stupid did the stupidest thing i can with the device.i was on bln l22(indian version) and yesterday in my attempt to downgrade to marshamallow i flashed the bln l24 berlin nougat zip.everything went fine, but now model number is hi6250 and build number is bln b110.now i tried to flash stock bln l22 nougat rom,but it stopped at 5percent as the build number and model number has changed.now how do i get back to bln l22.tried the debranding method to bln 22 bt it shows oeminfo not found.should i be on nougat for it to work? flashed twrp cant boot into it.stuck at that device is booting screen.
@shashank1320 @felix-development
Search for the rollback package, flash it, and then flash Marshmallow full package.
Root your ohone, Go to debranding guide, flash OEM Info file.
Flash full MM firmware, if allowed. If not, flash the Nougat package for BLN-L24 model.
I warned you not to mess with other regions package buddy. You are messing the phone without knowing the consequences of the same.
guys i fixed it.it was easy.no debranding need.just fired up firmware finder and downloaded bln l22c675b320 update and after that finished, got nrdmtestkeys.solved it by flashing the b340 update and data zip.now everything is back.didnt knew that we could use firmware finder to debrand.i tried dloading the b340zip but that didnt work because of wrong build number.but firmware finder worked, dnt knw how firmware finder was able to override the buildnumber when dload couldnt.everythings ok now. @shashank1320 thank you bro for replying.

Idiot's guide to updating stock firmware

Hello,
It's been many years since I messed with rooting or firmware flashes, so please help me out.
I am currently on 106 firmware on a CLT-L29C605 (latin american model).
I see in the following link that 121 firmware can be downloaded for my phone:
https://www.getdroidtips.com/download-huawei-p20-pro-b121-stock-firmware-8-1-0-121-clt-l09-clt-l29/
I have sent the request to Huawei for a bootloader unlock code.
What exactly do I need to do to flash the newer stock update? I don't care about root or xposed or any of that jazz, just want to keep pace with the latest and greatest stock firmware without having to wait for it to hit OTA (if ever).
Do I unlock bootloader and install TWRP and flash the update.zip? If so, do I need the official TWRP or unofficial?
Is there another way to flash the update.zip?
What's the easiest way to accomplish stock firmware updates?
Help!
Someone knowledgeable please weigh in!
Cant REALLY help you but afaik you dont need an unlocked bootloader for a stock firmware.
That doesn't make sense.
to get the newest OTA update you can use Firmware Finder (It's also available in the PlayStore). You don't need to unlock the bootloader or flash a custom recovery to use FirmwareFinder, but the firmware has to be approved for your device (you can check with Firmware Finder).
To flash not approved updates you have to:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. flash TWRP
3. use this Tool
BUT BE AWARE OF after flashing a custom recovery you can't use the offical way to get OTA updates, because it will boot to custom recovery instead of stock recovery. The official update.zip package has some checks which fail when you use TWRP.
The easiest way to get OTA updates without waiting is to use Firmware Finder.

From what I understand, for locked boot loader, using Firmware Finder to update to latest approved firmware does not work for P20 and P20 Pro on Oreo 8.1. You will not be able to use the DNS or in-app Proxy method to update to the latest firmware.
Thanks for everyone that weighed in. I can now state with certainty that the idiot's best method is to use funky huawei. I emailed them the new firmware I was looking for my specific phone, they added it to their site, and I updated it this morning all in 20 minutes. No bootloader, root or any other drama. Their email support is EXCELLENT as well, well worth the reasonable price of entry.
I'm now on 121a, thanks all.

I have ran in to the same thing. Still searching for a work around without paying for Funky Huawei.
Did you notice any improvements regarding stability, performance or camera with this new version?

FunkyHuawei works for me. takes a little bit of time to set new DNS servers in your router and then reset them after flashing but it has worked flawlessly for me. I have the same 605 phone and updated to 121a without any problems.

Honor 8 Software install failed!

Hey,
somehow my phone ( FRD-L09C636 ) doesn´t want to update by it self. So i tried to update it with the dload methode.
After going in the "secret menu" and try to install it from my sd card it stops after 5% and says:
Software install failed! Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package

Don´t work with the other methode ( rebooting phone and press vol up, down and power button ) either.
Tried to update from C636B130 to C636B360 and C636B389.
Downloaded both firmwares from Firmware Finder on my PC.
Hope you guys can help ^^.
Hello, did you try to update your phone via HiSuite software (computer)?
And for Firmware Finder firmwares, did you check if you can install them? (Check firmware access)
Going from B130 (Android 6.0) to B3xx (Android 7.0) firmware requires to flash FullOTA firmware.

Yes, already tried with HISuite .. it says my phone is up to date.
I´ve also checked, if the update is available for my phone. It´s alright.
So I need to flash it with ADB, like TWRP?
Greetings UStone
You don't need to use custom Recovery like TWRP to flash "FullOTA" firmware (approved for installation, of course). Use "dload" folder method to flash "UPDATE.APP" file from .zip files in this order (advised):
1) update.zip
2) update_full_xxxx_yyyy.zip ("xxxx" and "yyyy" = depending from hardware model/region)
3) update_data_full_public.zip
But you can use TWRP to flash a "FullOTA-PV" firmware (if available...) or use a recent method to flash any "FullOTA" firmware using TWRP (CAUTION!): HuRUpdater
Hi,
I am having the same issue as the OP.
I have and Honor 8 indian version (FRD-L02C675) and currently am in the B160. I'm trying to upgrade to the FRD-L02C675B330CUSTC675D003, and I have downloaded the FullOTA-MF from firmware finder, version 8757 and 87830, and used the dload method. For both versions I have the same message:
Software install failed! Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package.
HISuite says my phone is up to date, the same as system update on the phone.
I've also checked if the update is available for my phone, and it is.
I am from Ecuador using a indian version, so I'm not going to be able to update OTA officially.
I appreciate all the help you can give me.

first,you must updated to 151.
second,we have to wait to Rollout 158.
I have read Firmware Finder does not work anymore from Emui 8.2.
I tried, but it's really not working anymore.
I have tried everything but nothing works.
I make a rooted Stockrom and flash it,but the Phone does not start and I have to go back to 151 and wait for the Update....
here is it
I think the original question remains unanswered, is there a way to manually flash an update file? Maybe something similar to Samsung devices where you can install update from sd card / adb for instance?
