I'm in the UK and have had the U11 for a day now. It's great so far but how do you enable Alexa? I've got OK Google working but can find no way of enabling Alexa commands etc.
Is that a feature yet to be released? I called HTC support today and they could help (didn't know of the feature!), but they promised to get out their demo model and get back to me with an answer.
It's coming in an update supposedly this month.
According to the receipt I received:
Claiming your Amazon Echo Dots When you receive your HTC U11 on or after June 9, go to www.htc.com/sprint-u11-preorder-offer/. Follow the on-screen instructions to redeem your Dots.
Hopefully it goes live within the next week - I don't have a lot of confidence in HTC in keeping their word from their past actions.

OP is referring to Alexa as an ai assistant on the device, not a promotion for the Echo Dots

Oh yeah!
I stopped in my local T-Mob yesterday and they were all speculating for an end of May release (graduation time they said).
But, I have 5 bucks on it being released on June 8th! Can't wait!!!

We will see. Did promo for 2 v10 phones. I know a lot of these big corporations do these promos to get the public to buy their product. Then make it hard to claim their promotions. We will have to see how this goes.

5-10 business days. It's been 1 since you submitted lol. Have patience, it takes time. The G4 promotion took like a month or so.

No second email yet. I just go to the site and enter my email/zip. If you're having an issue after another day looking it up, go ahead an shoot them an email (it's on the website) and see if they have a solution :good:

I never received an email after submitting but I am able to check my status, just says "submitted".
Guys the process take 5-10 Business days, If you received the first email is a good sign. Now sit back an relax till they go thru there process.
Mine still says "no data" when I try the email/zip on the page.
At least I know they have my correct email. I'm just nervous that since it was the middle of the night and I was tired when I submitted it maybe auto fill put some wacky info in and I missed it.
Probably just too soon. Weird that someone else would get a "submitted" message on the page and I get "no data" even though I have email confirmation of submission.
Anywho... I'll keep checking!

Just adding another data point:
Purchased from AT&T as soon as it was available, received it a couple days later (10-29), and immediately submitted the information as soon as it was available on 10-30.
My submission # is ~5000 and current status is now "In-Processing." (Status changed from Submitted to In Processing sometime yesterday (11/2))

Another data point. I purchased and submitted on 10/31 from a T-Mobile store (not Jump on Demand). I'm in the 14000 range, and still in submitted.

I think most people got one. Here in the UK I think the promotion is still ongoing.
I tried to refuse it, on the grounds that I had no use for it so it was just a waste of resources to send it to me, but that was clearly too complicated a concept for the corporations. I ended up giving it away to a local charity to use as a raffle prize.

Received mine in October. I already had one already and 3 Echo dots. Use it for switches and general info. Now use the Home Mini's about 90% of the time and will be removing the Echo dots eventually.
As for Home invasion?? I have watched traffic from both the echo dots and the home mini's and I don't see anything not expected.
They do a significantly less than your smartphone does and you most likely take that everywhere you go, including your house.

It listens for the keywords before it acts. It doesn't listen or communicate until then

Seem google store reserved my money. It means they are preparing shipping soon, before 6-9th of Nov.
I have attempted to order from Google Store Germany to Denmark via Mailboxde / Mygermany several times, but the orders are all cancelled after 24 hours due to 'suspicious activity'. Seems to have happened to everyone ordering to known mail forwarding services (nothing wrong with my card or Google account).
Has this happened to anyone else? I ordered a 2XL and a Google Home without a hitch back in April this year.

Apparently its an issue effecting a lot of users as per Google customer support. Maybe try ordering via Mediamarkt? I am waiting for a call/email from Google support to get an idea as to how to resolve it. Will update more when I get some news.

Here is the response from german Google Store support for 2 cancelled orders that I attempted to ship via Mailboxde and Mygermany:
"I already have a reply from the 2nd level support. We found the reason why your orders has been cancelled. It looks like that your delivery address for the Pixel 3 XL is a PO Box. Our shipper cannot deliver to non-residential locations (such as PO Boxes or Mail Forwarding Service addresses) or military addresses. You can place a new order, but you will need a valid shipping address."
However I ordered a 3XL from Mediamarkt to Mailboxde and it seemed to work perfectly. Even gave 50% discount on accessories (so got a stand for EUR40).
Just got a charge for the phone on my credit card. Can't cancel the order anymore. I am guessing it ships tomorrow.
I orderd my pixel 3 xl by smartmobil.de.
I needed a contract for my daughter anyway. And the price is cheap.
Delivery date 08.11.2018.
I orderd also the original case with Google store.

"I need to apologize for the confusion/misinformation. I just checked in with our device team and can confirm that LG actually wasn't able to deliver the February SMR on time. It was delayed to the point that they decided to go ahead with the March SMR instead, which Google agreed to. I have updated the OS schedule to reflect this.
We understand that you should be receiving monthly security updates on the G7 One, given that it's an Android One device. It's unfortunate that they haven't been delivered as promised.

Right, and here we are March 14th and do not have the March one either! What a crock.
And LG is wondering why they're loosing money in their mobile division even though their phones are decent. Extremely poor in terms of taking care of their customer base.
Wondering if we can complain to BBB or some other agencies for misleading advertisement.
i talked to LG on Friday , they said that they had already sent March security update to the carriers.
this is getting ridiculous.

Finally, I see an update and downloading it now. It's 338.4 MB in size. Phone is from Koodo ( Canada ) originally but have switched to Zoomer.
It did receive a february update in Japan, was pushed on 21 Feb.

Of course Google told me it was on LG to get the updates out.
Like wtf is the One program for then? I thought it was Google taking care of updates so OEMs didn't have to and they would come out on time
