Is there a way to hide the Night Mode icon? - HTC U11 Questions & Answers

Just got the U11 yesterday and I'm loving it. I've managed to hide the auto-rotate icon using the command:
adb shell settings put secure icon_blacklist rotate && adb reboot
but now the Night Mode icon won't go away. Before I was able to hide the notification in the settings by blocking notifications but now there seems to be no option? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

fyi--you can hide various icons including auto-rotate via SystemUI Tuner...just use @LeeDroids Shortcutter app to add the SystemUI Tuner to quick settings, then launch from QS, no root needed. It even has a cool sidebar option!
unfortunately it does not have a toggle for the night mode icon..BUT, Shortcutter has a QS tile called Screen Filter that does the same as night mode

Yeh, settings.apk needs modifying to hide that.
I will make the screen filter notification in shortcutter optional XD

[Q] Hide Softkeys but keep Notifications and Quicksettings?

So I've been looking around but have found nothing. I'm using LMT launcher on CM10.1 and I just want to hide the Nav bar but still be able use notifications and quick settings, I've tried enabling expanded desktop but that hide the notifications, I also tried using Gestures to open the Nav bar and the notification button in PIE, but if the desktop is expanded it won't work. And Help??

Invert colors toggle won't show up when I swipe down to open quick settings

My nexus 5 is stock and is running marshmallow. I got system tuner settings to show up , when I make adjustments to have invert colors toggle apart of my quick setting , it doesn't show up when i swipe down to open quick settings. Id like to have my settings dark theme.
Also does Doze activate by itself or do I have to activate it ?

How can i disable nav bar completely?

Im rooted on 8.1 and im woundering how can i completely disable nav bar not just put it into immersive mode any ideas? Thx
Add to build.prop "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" and reboot. No more navbar.
You should have another means of navigation setup prior to doing this such as lmt launcher or swipe navigation.
Thx thats the plan
"qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" and adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.navagation=* both arnt working for me the only thing it did was set the nav to immersive
So the only thing that worked for me was substratum theme navbar height and set it to 0
By giving me your framework-.apk and SystemUIGoogle.apk I can get rid of your NavBar completely.
Ok cool i can pull them for you tonight i just need a root browser to get them?
Yes, or use adb to pull them
Hey. Which app did you use to do that? I couldn't find any that had it to work. Thanks!

[GUIDE][17-3-2018]Auto Hide Status & Navigation Bar in All Apps[No Root]

Hi guys, i am a new proud owner of HTC U11+, i received it today .
A brief history, before this device i had and still do a Nexus 6p but i think its days are numbered. Having said that it was my favorite owned device to date i am also active on XDA forums mostly writing guides about needed simple tricks. Last year my thread got famous around the internet for showing how to hide the Status and Navigation bar which benefited alot of Samsung S8/S8+ users.
Ok enough about that, so here is how to auto hide the status bar and navigation bar on all apps except the "Home Screen" without using any app for that. For some reason the navigation & status bar will unhide it self once you start another app, for now there is no remedy for it.
One more thing, one would ask what is the benefit of doing this?, well the short answer is you will have a bigger app screen size which will result in a more enjoyable experience.
Requirements:
-adb/fastboot environment (adb shell) on your PC after connecting the phone in file transfer mode and usb debugging is on
-Connect the device and run the command lines:
How To:
· Hide Status Bar only type:
adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.status=*
· Hide Navigation Bar only type:
adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=*
· Hide Both Bars type (Immersive Mode):
adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.full=*
· Back to normal/default state:
adb shell settings put global policy_control null*
Now, since our device has a shortcut to hide the navigation bar but not the status bar this is where the immersive command line is most useful.
Note: Please run the command line again in apps where the effect hasn't applied to, do it while you are still in the app. also if you need certain apps with the status bar shown still then please visit my Nexus 6p thread which is more specific.
Finally, this method isn't stable, meaning if you use the shortcut from the navigation bar to hide the bar you will need to reapply the command line once again to get the immersive mode back, another alternative method to this is to use an app from the play store.
Update( 17-3-2018):
-To make the navigation bar hide and stick on the launcher home page without going back to normal after you start another app, remove the "show hide navigation bar" shortcut in the navigation bar first or second panel and reapply the command line one more time.
-After using an app from the play store, the immersive mode doesn't seem to stick after a restart of the device. So i suggest you use an app called "Granular Immersive Mode(Paid App)" to apply the immersive mode from the phone without using the PC every time there is a change.
-It seems using the PC CMD method to get immersive mode isn't playing well with HTC phones, and you will have to reapply it with every restart of the device.
Good Luck.

Disable the navigation bar without root. Navigation bar isn't visible when using keyboard and sticks after restart of the device.

Hide Navigation Bar in UI3.0

Hello,
My phone updated last night and I lost the ability to hide the navigation bar for my Fluid Gestures app to work correctly. I have granted secure permissions again and checked several other apps and none of them seem to work. How do I hide the navigation bar in the new One UI 3.0?
Go to settings --> display --> navigation bar...?

I meant hiding it and disabling it completely for tools like Fluid Navigation, etc.
