No on the Last couple of phone's. I hate them because they bubble up easily and can look terrible. I love the feel of the glass on my fingers. Also I'm careful putting it in my pocket with no coins or key's.

Yes zizo case came with glass one works perfectly
Tempered glass, case friendly. Saved my bacon last week. As getting out of car, phone dropped out of my shirt pocket onto concrete pavement. Edge of screen cracked, slight spider webbing. Got home, took protector off, not a mark on the actual phone screen. Was a sceptic prior to this. My advise, better safe than sorry.
I am having an on and off affair with screen protectors. I put them on and usually rip them off after a while because I can not stand them.
For case, I am normally only using the 3mk ARC 3D invisible case ( http://www.ebay.de/itm/3mk-ARC-3D-360-Samsung-S8-Plus-G955-Display-Schutzfolie-gebogen-Full-Cover-/ ), loving those. When something harder is coming up (taking pictures outside with the kids), I put on an additional TPU case.
Im using film protector from Samsung and its not comparable with grizzle case a lot of bubbles on the edges because of the case but i live with-it at this moment
I've had a smartphone since the T-Mobile G1 back in 2009. I've had 17 different phones since then, none with screen protectors and none with any screen damage.
I didn't have one on my S7 edge which was built like a tank, didn't scratch or chip with how I used it, and my S8+ scratched extremely easily on the screen, so I had to get a pack of Spigen Neoflex protectors which I use with a Spigen thin fit case.
I like it. No issues at all with touch sensitivity or the protector peeling off or anything like that.
No, hate them, use flip covers instead. Got an Otterbox Strada and am very happy with it.

I had to peel it off once, next time I tried it aligned perfectly and after 7-8 hours the bubbles started disappearing and now I can barely tell that the screen protector is even on.
8 dollars for a 2-pack, they're pretty decent.

Hate screen protectors and never used them... All I have is a slimline TPU case to aid grip and to stop the rear glass getting marked when I set it down...
Hate screen protectors, but the edge display absolutely needs (my son got a s7 edge, which gave us the proof), so I got this http://nanofix.it/
It's a titanium film, which is wonderful if you want an antiscratch.

The reseller at Costco has it. They swear by it but I'm skeptical.
No case, no screen protector. They ruin the look and feel of the gorgeous device/display. I haven't used a case or screen protector for 8 or 9 years, and I buy a new flagship every year or so.

these so called nano liquids are a waste of money. I use the shark one, but last week my phone gently slipped to the floor in my house and landed face down. Very gently. Chip right in the middle of the screen caused by a spec of dirt.
Don't bother.

Caseless and Happy
I've had my GS4 caseless since I got it just over two weeks ago, it's still in great condition. I generally don't like using a case on my phones, (I never used a case on my GS2 before this one) as I don't like the look and bulk that it adds, no screen protector either, I'm still amazed by how well Gorilla glass resists scratching, the screen on my GS2 still looks brand new, despite never having a screen protector on it.
Case less all the way, with a screen protector..prob don't neet it but I'm anal like that. Oh and changed the back to a metal one. Gives the phone a "heavier" feel.
Naked with a ArmorSuit Miltary shield screen protector and Seidio spring-clip hoster.
I am thinking of getting the metal back too. they look cool and seem to add weight to the back so the phone might be more likely to fall on the back in the event of a drop.
Im caseless and screen protector less, my phone flung off my lap when i got outta the car the othet day, cartwheeled on asphalt and only left a nick in the bottom right of bezel. No cracks thank god..
I think i may have a few light scratches, may get one of those fancy glass screen protectors everyone's been raving about

Not I. I had my Galaxy S II caseless without a screen protector and it held pretty well... That thing was pretty solid.
I was watching all the drop tests, and seeing how easy Gorilla Glass III actually cracks; even seeing on here where it cracked in peoples pants??? Seeing that this is a bigger device, somewhat harder to hold in my hands, and definitely a lot more slippery than the SII, I do not want to take a chance on the $649.99 device. I also like leaving the device laying flat down on a surface(still getting used to air gestures, but the notification air gesture is cool); but one of the first things to touch the surface while laying flat is the camera lens which bothered me. I also have AT&T insurance but after seeing this case, it made my choice...
Spigen Neo Hybrid Case (Satin Silver)
edit* funny I had a dream last night that I actually cracked my S4. In the dream, it felt so real and that feeling of the cracked screen just really brings you down (sorry guys for the ones who did), but when I woke up, I was so relieved...

You guys crack me up. Spend hundreds for the phone and don't want to spend more than 7.00 on a case. Just Kidding
I prefer a leather pouch. Will get the Spigen one for 29.99. Has always done well for me and allows me to "use" phone with no case.
I am getting 2 32gb S4's tonight. My son still wants a case to use and keeps phone in pocket while at work. Does bending, stocking. Doesn't want case while using the phone, like me. But, doesn't want pouch. Is there a hard case that easily comes off then back on. Looked at many web sites and videos. Seems once they are on, they are not designed to be popping on and off--
OP: Based on my research, I would get some kinda case for the phone. I don't think this one will fair as well as my One S and Blackberries when dropped--
I roll caseless with my S4 and HTC One, both with Ghost Armor front and back.

If I get a case its going to be that exact one. It really is a nice looking case imo. does it add much bulk? doesnt look like it in the pics.
I sometimes dream about my phone too. makes me feel a bit obsessed lol.
I went caseless until I noticed the metal camera ring got all scratched up. Luckily I found a dead pixel on the display and was able to exchange it because of that.
With the premier discount on my account, I picked up the decent Case Mate clear case from the AT&T for 35% off. It works and the camera ring is still shiny with love.

I've been using the ringke fusion case on mine from the day I bought the phone. I'm not crazy about cases for my phone and all my previous phones were used naked, but the N4 is far too fragile with the glass back. Mine's about 8 months old, and apart from the tiny hairline cracks in the back which are barely noticeable, my phone looks and feels new
Not sure if you mean without the case of rocking an N4 while being naked.... Surprisingly, the OP isn't clear about that either.

LOL right
I used my Nexus 4 with the Google bumper for awhile, maybe 2 months, but it was really annoying because I couldn't plug in my IEMs with the case on (Anyone with Shure SE215s knows the connector is pretty bulky), so I wound up ditching the case. I got the phone 13 months ago, and the phone is in pretty good shape. People say it looks new and can't believe its over a year old although it has a ton of microscratches on the back, a few nicks in the bezel from a couple drops where someone accidentally snagged my headphones and pulled the phone right out of my hand (The headphones probably saved the phone both times that happened, they stopped the phone from slamming into the ground), and a thin scratch on the front that is hard to see from a grain of sand on my jeans (Don't wipe your phone on your pants people... I usually don't, but that one time I was thinking "Well it's only this one time, I don't have anything better to wipe the screen with... I doubt it's gonna get scratched...), and a tiny pit in the front glass above the screen near the right bezel when I got out of a car with the phone in my lap BUT I did have the bumper on for that and that saved the phone from shattering. I don't really know how it didn't shatter anyway, a rock had to have hit the glass for that to happen. I guess I was lucky that time
waiting to see when my bonus comes in =P when that happens ill rock it naked.... ill even take the dBrand skin off =P miss seeing my sparkly back......

I use mine without a case but I have front+back XtremeGuard on and carbon fiber skin on front+back too.
It has exfoliation on the silver bezel and another hit that bent the bezel a little.
I use it without any protection since I got it. It has already several cracks. It fell down at least 3 times because of the glass back. But why should I protect it if I will buy a new phone every two years anyway. If I sell it in the end for 50 or 70 bucks after 2 years is not that important to me. And the phone looks really great, so why should I hide it

lamb skin.
I really want to use the phone without a case and just a tgsp.. But I am unsure how scratch resistant it is. I am about to receive a replacement phone from Google as my first had issues. What do you guys use?
Definitely get a screen protector. Just having it in my pockets caused many small screen scratches over time.
As for the phone itself, the beveled metal edges around the screen scratch and dent VERY easily. A slight accidental bump can permanently mess it up pretty badly. The back metal of the phone seems to hold up very nicely, though.
i have no screen protector or case and I wouldnt have it any other way. That being said the edges are a thinner metal then a coke can so it will nick easily
This phone is too slippery to use without a case imo. I use a Spigen Thin Fit to help with grip and I'm happy.
Always wrap your thing!
Using a slickwraps skin. It's much easier to hold without a case because it's less heavy and thinner (due to how long the phone is)
I'm using my phone absolutely naked, have insurance in case something happens to it in lieu of a case.

I feel the same way however I'd like to keep this phone looking good.. I've gone with the Rhino bumper which is thin, discreet and you can still feel the back of the phone..plus the protection is supposed to be amazing.
The only problem I have now is that the case looks good too so I want to protect that now lol.
30 dollars with shipping, I'm in the UK and it came in under a week. A great case.
All I have on my phone is a dbrand skin. Unfortunately, I had an issue where it dropped a short distance (6 to 12 inches) and landed on a corner and it knicked up that corner near the screen pretty good, but not enough to convince me to buy a case yet... lol Haven't had any problems with any screen scratches or any other cosmetic damages yet.

Straight from the evo labs website. No restrictions. Here within a week. I did pay p&p but that's expected. About 4 quid I think.
One thing id like to say though, the rear clearance is not 100% the very centre of the back is slightly exposed, the bumper does not offer complete clearance when you push it against a flat surface.
If you don't know what I mean.
Take your phone and slide the back of it along the edge of a surface, say a mantelpiece or a shelf and whilst the start of the case is covered, towards the middle is not..
Not the end of the world but I'd have liked the clearance, ironically, tech 21 always offers this , something to consider.

Unfortunately, my N6P is my only camera at the moment. I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice the ding from a distance, but every time I run my finger along it, I cry a little inside.
Have a good one!
I have a glass screen protector, a Dbrand black carbon fiber skin for the glass panel on the back, and carry the phone around in a FitBag pouch.
This phone is the first where i must have a case for traction, its soo slippery and i want to hold it casually and treat it like a normal phone. I bet if i had it in my pocket it will just defy gravity and just fly out, would get a skin but seeing how easy it was to bend the bezel with my finger nail, i dont want break it in the first year,
I got one of these, the thinnest case i could find.i know it wont help in a fall but it will help against wear and tear
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...ack-Cover-For-Huawei/1750180_32495581013.html
I've always rocked my phones naked. This time around I'm using a skin. Had a front back skin. Did drop it once too >_<. Thankfully it's just a small dent right above the camera visor. The skin on my phone is slippery so I ordered a more grippier one and took off the front skin because ambient display works better without it.
I have only a d brand frame for the camera.
I have glass screen protector and tried a clear thin case, but am back to no case..just the glass. No problems. I did add a little non-slip round piece to the back..it stays in my pocket just a little better, and totally stops it from sliding off a flat surface.
In and out of pocket all day, I am not real careful about keys or coins and no issues. I have done this with HTC M7,8,9 also with no problems. I hate hiding a good looking phone with an ugly case...and no case I have ever seen enhances the look.
Any one know of a transparant case that is compatible with slickwraps? Bought the galactic series but want some extra protection...

I'd personally go for a slickwraps or dbrand skin for the back of you don't like cases. It'll protect it, and you can get something like a leather to still keep the premium look.
thank you for thread , i hope we found soon good protectors

Hi Y´all!
I ordered this one yesterday:
https://shop.brando.com/brando-workshop-full-screen-coverage-curved-glass-protector-samsung-galaxy-note7-transparent_p14575c1547d8.html
I´ve had good experience with Brando for the screen protector for my old trusty SGN3.
But the shape of the screen on the SGN7 has got to be a challenge.
On a flat screen a 10TH of a mm / 5 100TH of an inch doesn´t matter.
Here the shape has to be just right for the sticky coating to make a bubble & distortion free experience.
I saw a screen protector review on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQXq0ewUJtU
This product tried to handle small differences in curvature etc. by only applying sticky coating on the edges.
I would have to agree with reviewer. That doesn´t work.
With 20/20 hindsight I might have thought to ask Brando about this before making the order - Oh well :fingers-crossed:
Regards
Elo
Can't wait to see the results!!

I got this one. It's terrible. Doesn't sit flush, doesn't stick well cos there's only glue around the edges, and not enough of it, doesn't have cut outs for all the optics on the top. I also got a standard screen protector as well, an iqshield, and that's what is on my phone now.

I ordered this one personally.

I can leave a review on it once I try it out. I'm hoping that a clear protector will function better than the painted ones I've used with the S7E.

I ordered the same one. Hopefully it will work well.
On the other hand, I currently have a Skinomi one on mine (wet application). I'm using masking tape to hold down the edges as it dries and adheres. So far it's almost invisible because I took my time. No rubbery feel either. If my case works well with it I might not even install the glass one.
Leaving the plastic sticker on the back glass for now, though.
Edit: Just read the comment above mine regarding the same TGSP
FFS enough with the tempered glass screen protectors. They all suck and will always suck.

I'll take your word for it. Anyone who owns a blackberry knows all about crappy products.

I think I might go with a skinomi cover for the back of mine. Not sure which color will look best with the coral blue.

So far the IO shield full body is doing its job on mine. Looks good. I have this glass one on order and it should be here today. I'm hesitant on pulling the IO shield off because it's doing it's its job but I have had glass for the last 3 phones and never had a break / scratch. They work much better than plastic.

Lol I meant to write "whose owned". Just got up, sorry.
Either way if I see the screen protector has that tape only on the sides I'll probably just return it.
I'm looking around for a tempered glass with decent touch responsiveness. do we know much about how well WSD will protect the screen vs other protectors? it costs quite a pretty penny. i was wondering if any of you had experience with cheaper ones that'll offer the same level of protection? this one (https://www.amazon.com/LK-Protector...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YX5Y8Z1JQ3BMGQX5XTF8) is quite highly rated at amazon and has a fakespot rating of A. anyone tried it out?

The link you provided is a product that only has adhesive on the sides, don't waste your time there will be an air gap and the screen responsiveness will be garbage. Like you said those reviews are fake and you would be wasting your time and money if purchased. Yes the WhiteStone dome is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have had mine installed since Launch and not a single issue, it looks and feels like there isn't even a screen protector installed. For a product that could potentially save your phone from breaking, why skimp out? Would you buy cheaper tires on your car that are much more likely to fail? No.
I do believe that the Whitestone is worth the price.
I have been using tempered glass screen protectors for a few years now and the Whitestone is much easier to install, bacause of the jig that comes with it.
I have installed the Whitestone on two Note 9s. One for the wife and mine.
The only issue I have is a minor one. It seems a bit of excess glue is around the edges and atractslint from my pocket.
The coverage and feel is awesome.
Once you buy the full kit that includes the UV light, only the replacement kit is needed for any other install or phone. The replacement kit comes with the jig, but not the UV light.
I refrained from purchasing a phon ewith a curved screen until this type of screen protector was available. I refused to deal with the ege only attached protectors.
It is a bit pricey, but I highly recommend it. After all, you are protecting a thousand dollar phone. Twice what I've ever paid for a phone.
My experience with the whitestone: It is ok if you dont mind the sharp edges when you swipe from the sides. In my case, air bubbles started to appear at the right edge. Whitestone sent me one replacement which I am trying to sell, because I don't see it working in my case.
Pros:
Clear;
Sensitive;
Warranty (although you have to pay for shipping);
Cons:
Sharp edges;
Air bubbles appear at the edges after some time, 2 months in my case;
The adhesive left exposed at the sides attracts dust/lint;
how do you get the glue off when removing? I bought a twin pack but the first is quite scratched

The glue is attached to the glass, not your phone. Once you begin peeling the screen protector off you will notice the glue is only on the screen protector and your phone is left clean.
does the whitestone dome work with the Note 9 included case? as im fairly happy with the included case for now, but i wanna get the dome screen protector if its compatible.
What is the included case? In my country there is no included case, but it is compatible with the samsung silicone case.

Oh what?! I didn't realise that. Well in Australia it comes with a clear rubber/silicone type case inside the box. I believe it's the same one samsung sell on their accessories page. So I guess it'll be compatible then, sounds like the same one you're talking about. Thanks

I think it's worth the premium. Been using it since S7 days and installed, I think 7, on friends/family phones. Killed itself for 3 displays from drops so far.

A benefit of the vast research, conducted for the purchase of A Note 9 for the wife. Thru that and setting it up for her, I was so impressed that I got a Note 9 for myself. The 8/512 version, of course.
My first non rootable phone in about 6 years.
I am digging it!

I was really hesitant on spending $40 on a 2 pack of tempered glass. But after biting the bullet i couldn't be happier with the glass. It fits and feels great. Doesnt disrupt the touch sensitivity and keeps the premium feel of the phone. I hated that the cheap ones that only have adhesive on the sides and dot matrix on screen made the phone feel super cheap because it felt like you were touching a plastic screen.

be careful, however, if the phone falls and hits the glass film, it does not protect the display and breaks, it happened to me on note 8.
In other words, it protects only from the graff.

No tempered glass is going to protect your screen from cracking. It helps but doesn't prevent it if the hit/drop is right.

If you want a tempered glass screen protector then the only option that works well (IMO) is the Whitestone Dome. The issue is (and I've tried many times) with Whitestone Dome is that the sides of your screen protector may get tiny bubbles even after you think the install was perfect. Mine showed up after a day and spread to the enter left and right side of the protector.
