I recently got a brand new black Verizon S7 and my question is about the home button. On the other S7s it seems to have some sort of horizontal lines on it and on mine they are not present,it's like there is some sort of firm on it,but I don't think it is a protector or anything. Also,on the back of the phone is just the Samsung logo and not the other small printings that are present on the lower part of it's back.Should I be concerned?

I have a strange problem. About week ago i bought my xperia M2, then i albo bought screen foil protector. Yesterday i saw that on my screen is small sami transparent grey point. I can see it only when i watch screen form About 30 cm, when i turn phone a little - about 10 degree i can't see it. Generally it is very hard to see it. Is it cause by screen protector, or it's a hardware problem?
PS. I can't take a picture of this, on picture it is invisible.
I have a similar problem, I think. I don't have any screen protector but recently I noticed something similiar close to the upper right edge of the screen. It's particularly visible when the white or orange themes are set.
Have any of you noticed a weird wrinkly/wavy screen when you look at it from a sharp angle? The other day I looked over at my S6 sitting on a counter next to a window and noticed what looked like my screen warping with horizontal waves across the surface. As I got closer to it and looked at it straight on I see nothing, but when I look at it (screen off) at a sharp angle with good light, I see these weird waves in the material under the glass.
Is this typical for these types of screens or is this warranty territory?
did you return your phone for warranty? I noticed same thing on my unlocked S6 also. It seems like the glass of the screen is wavy.. Don't see same issue on my Samsung Galaxy TabPro 12.2".
There is an old thread about all the various screen issues with the s6 here

amoled display
my 1 week galaxy note 9 also got the same physical appearance. Walked in to authorize repair and they offer me to replace my display instead 1 to 1 swapping or if I still insist, I've to walk in to the shop where I bought it so I don't really bother myself to replace it since it works perfectly when I turn on my screen at any angle. hmm...what would you do if you are at my place?
So I recently bought the s8+ and noticed two ripple/bump like lines on the top right and bottom corners starting from the curve.I can only see them when in certain lighting/angle. Looks like they are under the glass but the display looks fine when turned on. Any idea what it might be?
hey guys, i have a galaxy S6 for two years now, after a couple of months i noticed that the part of the aluminum which my hand touches when i am holing the phone turned black, i am almost sure it's because of the sweat, now i am planning to get the S8+, and i want the orchid gray color, but i am afraid to face the same problem, and the only solution is maybe to get the black one....what do you think?

Well maybe try using a clear case or bumper?
I have had flagship Samsungs since the S1 (every years flagship and most times went from S to Note and then Note to S) and the only phone where i noticed any sort of silver shreading was exactly the Galaxy S1.
I guess you can get the black one, but you are the only person that I see having this problem.
You can always get a skin or a case.
I got the S8+ orchid gray and to me it was a no brainer between the 3 colors, the orchid looks Silver, gray and purple depending on the light reflecting on it (with some lights it looks like the coral blue color, even) - most people like the black better, but that is a fingerpront magnet, and the orchid gray barely leaves prints that you can see
One more comment, although you did not call for it, be careful coming from a S6 to a S8+, it is not a one handed phone whilst the regular S8 trully is and you still get the 5.8". I came from a S7 edge (before that a S6 edge+ and before that 3 different note models between the mix) and i can tell you that it is impossible to get a thumb to the notification tray (I swipe the finger print scanner and then pull it if i must 1 hand). Only reason why I got the plus was the battery that will actually last a whole day of abuse.
Have a good day
I just setup the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SM-955U). I have Otterbox Symmetry Series case on and a Tempered Glass Screen Protector on. The top right corner of the screen is annoying me so seeking some feedback here. On the top right corner of the screen along the edge I see a small arc/semicircle which is very visible in the white background. Is it due to some setting or something else (dead pixels)? All the 3 other corners don't show this. I am attaching some screen shots here. If anyone has any feedback regarding this, I would appreciate it. Thanks
Seems others have reported similar issue on various corners of the phone.

This has been an ongoing issue since curved screens came out. The s6 and s7 edges some did it too. Most never went any farther than those small spots. If it's under warranty send it in but a new screen could do it too.

Thx. Stopped by a local Samsung Service Center. The issue is caused by dead pixels. They will replace the glass screen (digitizer), LCD and the attached cable(s). I suppose this comes as a whole unit. They also mentioned the dead pixel area could grow over time (no way to know if this is true or not).
I am hoping to get mine replaced today.

I have seen it on several devices. Some older. And from what I seen it normally stays localized to the spots in the corners from the pressure of the curves. But that don't mean it can't spread. 99% I have seen are in one of the 4 corners

Thx. While researching on this, the several pictures I saw had one of the 4 corners impacted. I guess that is why S10 has much less "curved" screen.
