No one is trying to root this device anymore. Sorry. With a locked bootloader your SOL. That device is unlocked.
Security update
Just wondering if anyone made any progress on rooting this phone or did you give up? Really, I just want to reverse the security update that just came out. Is that possible? Thanks! It is the LG K20 V on Verizon.
I would also like a way to root this phone.

Hi!
Flashing other carriers firmware on a moto X is not a great idea, unless you KNOW it to be safe. And also remember on the X, trying to downgrade from 4.4.2 or higher, can lead to a brick....even a permanent brick.
Here is a thread that may help....
>*Moto X*>*Moto X General*>*[HOW-TO] Resurrecting A Bricked Moto X
You can ask for further help in that thread also.
Hope you work it out!!
---------- Post added at 10:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:37 PM ----------
This is another option to try. But no matter what method you try, you MUST use the firmware for YOUR device, not a different carriers....and the same android version you were on. Again....DON'T downgrade a Moto X that is on 4.4.2 or higher already....ever.
>*Moto X*>*Moto X General*>*[GUIDE][VIDEO] Moto X - Return to 100% stock (using RSD Lite OR manual flash)
with plug in wall and happen NOTHING. power press button and NOTHING. :crying: now my phone insurance must and without week phone me. stupid stupid!
Press the power button a very long time... Til phone vibrates.
And are you sure its charged?
---------- Post added at 10:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:47 PM ----------
And did you unlock the bootloader? If its not a dev edition, unlocking bootloader voids warranty.
---------- Post added at 10:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:49 PM ----------
As does flashing other carriers firmware I suspect.
But, maybe you'll get lucky!
Good luck!

Hello, I want to unlock bootloader XT1028.
I searched and found unlocking bootloader way with SunShine. but It needs to be rooted.
But current version of my device is 4.4.4, but pie root is not working on 4.4.4.
Is there any way to root this device?
thanks.
Hi. Try to unlock bootloader here and install CWM here, after, enter in recovery mode and flash SuperSu here.
You need to rollback to 4.4.2 first.

Whats the best way to root a Galaxy J7 from tmobile USA, model SM-J700T?
I thought I would have this j7 rooted already myself.
Ran into fastboot issues like in the V10 forums after mm update. Seems fastboot oem unlock is disabled yet you can click to unlock in developers? Kinda of pisses me off about that. Everyone blamed LG for that but now I see a 2nd T-Mobile phone with same issue.

Yeah the J7 is good for the price without all the bells and whistles. I am seriously thinking of returning it for a refund and getting a Note 5.
I can understand that. I didn't get a note partly because since i want to remove as much samsung software as possible, it makes the s-pen almost unusable therefore a waste of the extra money. Also, i am little impressed with this device for the money. Had it been only 1-1 1/2 gig of ram like the other models I'd pass on it.

For those who would like to root follow these instructions and makes sure you have oem unlock on in developer options.
1. With ODIN 3.10.7 flash TWRP 3.0.2.0
Here
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24665509702140789
2. DO NOT let the device reboot. You need to boot directly into TWRP by holding pwr+vol up+home as soon as ODIN is finished flashing. You gotta be super quick.
3. Swipe to allow modifications
4. Once in TWRP flash SUPERSU- 2.76
Here
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24665509702140790
5. Reboot

Is there an Odin flashable TWRP for the Galaxy Tab E T377T? I've soft bricked it and all I can find is an IMG file for TWRP.

Do you have OEM Unlock checked in Developer Options? If you're flashing successfully in Odin, you should be able to reboot directly to TWRP afterwards. You'll have to reflash though if you booted into Android because it overwrites the custom recovery with stock. Maybe trying flashing again then booting straight to recovery holding volume up, power and home button.

Quick question... maybe you can help
Device:. LGLS775 ZV6
OS:. MM 6.0.1
Of course, no root, custom recoveries... but software update popped up ZV8. Backed up phone, did factory reset, because sd card was set to a percentage of it (80%) as portable, 20% added to internal.
Ever since the reset... no update is available...?!!!
Was looking forward to seeing Nougat, since this device is locked down too much for any development.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance ,
zach
