TOMTOM go APP - Download card at home on sd card - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

Hey Mates,
just feeling like a noob this time .... is it possible to download the tom-tom mobile cards at home, put it on a sd card and then in the Unit in Car?
I cant get a WIFI connection with my house. So I always connect over hotspot on my mobile ... but 1 gig would drain my data plan

With tt I never tried, with sygic the folder for maps is under Android/data. See if you can find the folder on your phone, should be the same as on the head unit.

What you can do for the future: buy a USB to rj45 connector and roll out a network cable to your car from your router. That downloads maps a lot faster. I have one works great !

Crackle

FYI, watched a movie on crackle last night (Step Brothers). I hooked my phone up to my TV via HDMI, and it worked fine. the only issue was that I got no audio, so I had to connect the headphone jack to my Home Theatre System, and all was good from there.
had to sit through a commercial or two a few times, but that was it. streamed fine.

yeah - had to get from another site. forgot the sight - but got from a droid forum.
I was able to download the apk to my pc and move to my sd card and install from there. I got it from this link (though I had to sign in using my google account). http://www.1mobile.com/crackle---movies--tv-96544.html
installed successful and the app opened. haven't tried to watch anything yet.

Does Sixaxis work?

Pretty simple, can anyone confirm that the Sixaxis app works on the Nexus 5 with the touch profiles?

I am wondering the same thing?! Still can't figure out if other USB devices such as keyboards and mice work. I think from posts, most people confirm that USB flash drives are working. Any information would be nice.
Let me test some things out and I'll get back to you. I already tested a USB flash drive that works. I'll try out a USB keyboard

Just tried a keyboard and mouse and both work fine over USB OTG. I can't find my sixaxis controller right now though but I would imagine that it would work fine. It works on my Nexus 7 2013 with no problems.
BTW this post was typed on a USB keyboard connected to my Nexus 5...

Wifi tethering issue on sprint (and possibily also other network)?

I seem to have wifi tethering issue with my nexus 5 on sprint. It's detecting LTE and 3G signal fine and I can use the phone browser, etc. But with hotspot enabled, my tablet can connect to the nexus 5 fine. Just that the tablet doesn't detect that there is internet at all. Wondering if sprint pushed something into my phone when i have it connected to sprint initially.
Anyone has this issue and on sprint?
Search the forum, there is a fix. You'll have to be rooted.

Toggle 3g and LTE automatically

I have stock rooted (xposed and Gravity box) with 4.4.4
Since lte signal is terrible at my home I would like to toggle automatically to 3g when home and LTE otherwise.
I do use tasker for some automation. However I could not find a way to toggle lte and 3g automatically.
Any help is appreciated

You could use a recycled NFC Tag.

I was just recently using this feature. Pulled out a Lumia running WP10 I don't have activated. No service yet I was still going and listening to different radio stations. It's a nice feature to have.
