LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Yeah, if you're coming from stock you'll want to do a clean flash. We're working on squashing out the last of the bugs but there are a few stubborn ones.
Edit: @Stricted you may want to fix this typo:

Yeah Yeah just reading the bug list (already ) confirm SMS, recording issues.
device is not heating, not laggy, MTP works (go in developer options)

Any estimate as to whether or not this could work with the Canadian variant (SM-G903W)? Or a guess as to what contribution might be required to create something that would work?

I'm testing the compatibility of the ROM on a G903W Canadian variant and can confirm it's operational with just the same bugs everyone else has. I'd really like to get to the bottom of the mic issue though, mine just outright doesn't pick up anything, even if I attach a Bluetooth headset with a mic on it.
Edit: Performed another test as I had some issues earlier, and now it's just audio that sounds like it's being recorded in slow motion. It's understandable but it isn't quite right. I would take a look at the sources but after downloading a number of them I only have 6GB free on my partition. I may have to move it all over to an external hard drive first before I can do anything.

So just a few questions. Is this build unofficial because of the testing phase, or will it remain so? Does that mean development will shift from CM13 to CM14? And lastly, can we expect nightly updates in the future?
You have my sincere thanks for keeping this device alive and wish you all the best in the future .

It will remain so until we can have working camcorder and nightlies.
>Does that mean development will shift from CM13 to CM14?
There wasn't much CM13 development going on since few months lol.
>And lastly, can we expect nightly updates in the future?
If we can get camcorder to work properly.
Overall UI experience is very good. It seems smoother at scrolling and touch compared to 6.x.x (even the official firmware). Good luck fixing the camcorder.
It's only with me or the ui seems very laggy? I'll try to reinstall the rom without the Gapps aroma version.
By the way, thx for keeping this device alive! i'm here if you need a tester!
Cheers!

Guys, I flashed the build 2 and the Phone feels amazing.
We have some bugs, but nothing that can pull this ROM from the altar of the good Roms Ever made for this xt1078
I made a screencast with some bugs on the menu "Buttons". When i click on the "Power Menu" option, nothing happens.
Beyond this, I can't found the avanced reboot option
Anyway, congratulations Boys! You made my weekend f*****g better!

I think that "advanced reboot" is in "developer optional" only in non-stock android. This ROM is like nexus official Noufat (apart bug)...i think that when all cm-things will be added, you will find "advanced reboot".
The sim data seems unstable. On a area that LTE conection was stable, now keep shifting Between 3g and 4g (not 3g+).
About the Power menu, in buttons menu we've got an option to choose the Power menu buttons.
The ROM seems Very smooth on my Phone. I love you guys!
Cheers!

The latest build, which is the first one right now on this thread has some kind of bug for the sim card.
But this should be fixed in the next build because in the last build he gave us (which is not listed on this thread) sim card worked.
So you could wait for the next build for a fix.
Ill wait for next updatw then. Only few small questions for you. Except that only other supposed bug is camera recording right? Second question i install this rom with flashing it via twrp? Root addon same via twrp? Flash gapps via twrp? Which caches and those kind of things should be deleted?

Camera recording and maybe, just maybe your phone will not boot sometimes, just take the battery out and boot it again.
I am not sure if Stricted managed to fix that yet.
Install the Rom just like any other Rom with additional stuff afterwards like Gapps and Root .
Latest TWRP only!!
For Gapps you will have to use Unofficial because there is still no official Opengapps for 8.1.
Read the first page's post of mine, i posted a link to Unofficial gapps that work with this ROM.
For wiping: Cache, Dalvik, System, Data.
It is important to wipe all of this or you won't be able to boot.
"Data" partition does not include files like photos and music, those files are stored in the "Internal Storage" Partition.
You don't need to wipe Interal Storage
This ROM is still in testing phase so keep that in mind and report any issues if you like. It's been barely a month since Stricted started working on it.

Thanks a lot for your hardwork.
Glad to see you back to work @Stricted.
I definitely didn't mean any harm on your work.
I wish you a bright future later with this device!
Mic bug still present
Thank you Stricted for the hard work and for continuing and releasing YOUR 16.0 version.
Unfortunately in you latest built I still experience the microphone issue.
Any audio recorded (i.e. speech messages) with the phone is too silent.
I suspect the bug is related to the fact that there is a second noise cancellation mic built into the device.

Man. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this. Everything works just fine for me. The system feels a bit sluggish but I knew it was going to be like that. Also, The first 10 minutes while I was charging my phone, the battery was going down. And then out of nowhere it started going up again. weird. But anyways, it works great! Keep up the work! And is there a kernel that overclock the system to have less lags? Thanks again Stricted.

Yeah sorry i was on rush earlier so i had to reflash the first one cause i needed it immediatly working; i'm going to re-downlaod it and re-try and let u know.
But one question: is there a way to enable the WPS connect (for the WiFi) or it has been removed on los16?
EDIT: Well, funny thing, when i had that error i was making a clean flash, now with a dirty flash, no error...
I think it was error 7 btw.
Just to be sure.
This is fine to just update (flash) from Lineage 15.1?
Data/settings remain?

Yes, it's working. So far so good, I can't provide screenshots cause I already switched ROMS although I'd still recommend it since it's almost bugless and it has a good performance. It's just, lineage is not my thing. I'm currently using DotOS 5.2 on my Redmi 9C.

What do you mean? If you're referring to the installation, no it won't. Custom Recoveries are essential to Custom ROMs, therefore it requires a Custom Recovery (unless it's a GSI).

How is the dot os ROM? I see there are many bugs posted no hotspot will be an issue for me but can probably do without it.
But as a daily user is it worth it???

So far so good I have faced no issues in daily use yet. It comes with android 12 like ui system that is really cool And the safety net is also working fine. the only bugs I have noticed so far are. No hotspot, no double tap to wake as you already know. And also the face id is not working other Than that it's pretty good especially the interface.so I will say it is definitely worth checking out.
Awesome I'll definitely give it a try and haven't expierenced android 12 yet so that's a sure plus and knowing dot OS its probably hella smooth
Maybe u can try a 3rd party app for hotspot? U never know

Thanks a ton @LuK1337.
Installed from latest android 12 stock ROM just now. Few observations after playing around for 20 mins.
No issues with installations [ROM+Gapps] using instructions.
Haptic feedback is similar to stock ROM and much improved from LOS 18.1 since I last used it.
Sound via headphone/speakers is similar to stock ROM.
GPay is working fine for UPI with just stock + Gapps [India].
Overall super smooth/fluid animations and everything is working as expected. Love it.
Bugs I observed:
- Fingerprint icon is overlapping with charging message [PFA Screenshot]
- Ok Google hotword detection is not working. Will appreciate any recommendations on making it work. [UPDATE: It works after installing 10/25 nightly, Thanks @LuK1337]
Installed it on US version and noticed the baseband changed, having connection problems with Visible ( prepaid from Verizon ), signal drops after minutes, will come back after cycling airplane mode and then just disconnects again , not sure is safe to revert back to older baseband, any tips appreciated.
PS I upgraded from Lineage 18.1
Hi, so happy that LOS 19 is out for hotdogb! Before installing, I'd like to know if the prox sensor is working? (eg if you cover the prox sensor on lockscreen and double tap to wake, does it wake the phone up?) and if the game Summoners War works? last time I tried on a A12 based rom the game would crash immediately after launch.
Thx in advance

Yes ... Baseband version Q_V1_P14 and Vendor security patch = 5 August 2022 ... (see screenshot)
Note: Official builds ship firmware files, so no need to update firmware. You can install LOS 19.1 from OOS 10 and 11 blobs via LOS 18.1 recovery.
Clean flash and dirty flash from Official LOS 18.1 or unofficial LOS 19.1 work fine ... see official instructions.

How come 18.1 to 19.1 migration patches vendor security but a 18.1 OTA updates don't do that? Is it a new Mainline module that fixes it?
Hello. I installed the rom yesterday and evrything seems to work fine. Except few things. Below I'm listing the bugs that I've found/encountered yet.
1) When on call, it seems like it by default on loudspeaker. The call volume is too high and there's no way to reduce/turn it off.
2) There's no dynamic theming in Wallpapers and styles section. Please find attachment.
3) Battery sometimes drops very rapidly. Like it shows that it's on 23% for like 10 minutes and drops straight to 20%. Maybe visual bug.
Rest all seems great. The idle time is outstanding. Overall a good ROM. Thank you.
Hi!
My question is whether a change from OOS11 (11.0.9.1 EU) to LOS19.1 is possible directly?
According to the wiki, the Android 12 firmware is required before installation. In return, you can switch from LOS 18.1 to 19.1 without firmware....
The "big" problem for me is that only Indian version of OOS12 is available so far and I don't want to have a brick due to a bug.

You can flash 19.1 from 18.1 recovery while it's still available for download.
Also, you might want to wait like for https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/fu...eage-19.1-20221024-nightly-hotdogb-signed.zip to become available.

Has it been confirmed that 7T/Pro/5G won't get OOS13(A13)? There is always rumors but was it just a mistake by TMO? Obviously the phone isn't a S10lite or Pixel 4 but stuff can theoretically ported.
