Hi all,
Quite some time ago I used a rom with "reverse exit animation" among the custom animation options and I loved the way this looked. Unfortunately, I don't remember what rom this was and I haven't seen the feature since.
The closest reference I can find is this XDA thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr.../guide-animations-xperia-devices-5-x-t3320380
Do any current roms support this, or does anybody know of an easy way to implement it?
Thanks!

I would love to see the HTC sense UI for cyanogenmod5. I'm a big fan of the clock widget off KiNgxKxKlair DroidEris2G1. Could this work?
No it can't not.

Try Beautiful Widgets, and no the Sense UI and Cy mod are not capable together. Maybe the kernel will sometime but not the actual rom. BTW major off with the section try Q&A next time before you get flamed hard.
possible Yes the other way around
you can have an htc rom and "some stuff from Cyanogenmod like video cam possibly BT

If that worked, don't you think we'd already have done it?
thanks for the reply's so fast.

This is development. You had an extremely simple question that could've been answered in cm's thread, or better yet in Q&A if you insist that your question is important enough to warrant it's own thread. Respect gets respect, even on the internet.
Proto is right, if this was possible somebody would've already done it ten times.
ugh 12 post noob. damn. no this isnt possible.

No because it's so much easier to port a whole ROM over than it is to do a hybrid. Theoretically, it would be possible to take the frameworks of Sense and apply them to the source.
Besides, your analogy seems kind of flawed. It's like saying a few days ago, "If it was possible to get full 3D and Video Acceleration on 2.1 we would've already done it." And all it took was one very dedicated and intelligent coder named Cyanogen doing it.

agreed. probably possible.. but whats the use?
Even if it was possible we have to remember it has been out for two days and is an experimental rom. NOBODY wants to work for a few hours for a couple days only to have a new, more stable rom come out that could potentially break the work they just finished. They would rather have a rom that is "stable" and won't be replaced within days (Meaning yes, a long-term rom that won't be updated for 2+ weeks).

By the time that happens we will have all discarded our G1's. Do remember people do this as a hobby not for a job, that's for actual devs that do it for a job.
Here are some sense similar apps:
-Weather wid donate
-Hero Settings widgets
-Pandahero
-GDE+Hero theme
-Pure widget series(Cal,music,etc) by Koxx
I don't know if it's the right place, I just hope DG can see this.
Anyway, every time DG updates Cognition Rom, we can see him switching from Touchwiz to Stock Launcher, or switching back, for different reasons. The same thing happens to the lock screen.
For example, this time DG removed Touchwiz for its laggy, but someone like me really don't care that little lag, I just think the transparent background of the app drawer is much cooler than the stock one...yeah, maybe I'm a weirdo...
Since nothing can make everyone happy, why not just make two of them at each edition, one is more Sammy and the other is more Stock?
Or take some time to learn how it works and you can put it back in yourself. That's the beauty, imho, of the android. You can make it fit yourself. DG is doin' what rox his sox, he's just offerin' it up to us unwashed masses.
I've gotten to where I can make the phone look any way I want and this is my first android phone. Patience and diligence. You can do it too.
ive pretty much learned how to put everything i like in place. launcher, keyboards, etc. the only thing im trying to learn is how to get my preferred lockscreen into any given rom. Is there anyone who can teach me or point me to some references so i can start learning how to do this.
The search feature can amaze you with its knowledge I have seen several threads and posts on the main cognition thread about changing the lock screen

Not to belabor the point, but Search is a powerful tool
But this one is on the house:

Cognition blows! Its buggy, no live wallpaper, exchange mail doesn't work, Gmail doesn't push, random force stops... avoid cognition

His feature flip-flopping always ground my gears when I was using Cognition as my daily driver.

Wow, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel.
To each his own, no need to rom bash.
Cog rom
Running Cognition 2.3b6, gmail pushes, live wallpaper works, etc. I agree the flip flop isn't great, but hey, he is doing this, and he doesn't have to. Until CM 6.1 comes out, I will keep using his ROMS.
Never had those kind of crazy issues with a Cog ROM. I know he has added/removed apps with each rev.
BUT... with that said he has justified each time he has taken a step back.
Plus - it clearly says BETA - meaning NOT A COMPLETED PRODUCT AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Sheesh.

This. Devs like DG work hard for the community, don't bash their work.
I'm looking specificly for one that is for ICS, with android robots racing like speedracer. Not sure if I can find this again, but it was somewhere on the web and I had it working for awhile and another rom I installed removed it.
Thanks for any help!
I generally check ROM Toolbox, he added some nice tablet friendly boot animations that work, and are super graphical

SMILE It's Not Illegal Yet
Hey there, I have no idea if this is really possible, but I figured this would be the place to ask.
I recently got the Z1C, and I really liked both the lock screen and the default live wallpaper (The ribbon-twisty thing). Anyways, as is my preference, I rooted and flashed Cyanogenmod, not thinking ahead and backing up either of these stock features, thus losing them. Is there any way someone could grab them from their phone and send them over? Or do you already know of a place they are available?

Then you should know that you lose stock features when you do, so unless the lockscreen has been ported (see this and the cross development section) you'll have to do without. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonymobile.experienceflow2

Yes, I'm aware of that - I just wasn't thinking about it at the time. What I was wondering is if there is any way to pull an intact version of either or both features from a stock phone, and reinstall them. Thank you for the link to the wallpaper I tried looking through the play store, but I was looking for z1, and there were none quite the same, just bad imitations.
So, now I'm just looking for the lock screen - is there any way to get ahold of that?

Not unless it's been ported so you'll have to have to search to see if it has been.
Here's the Live Wallpaper Ribbon thing: https://www.dropbox.com/s/axrkp65cnu30w7w/ExperienceFlow2LiveWallpaper.apk I don't know it you can install it on other ROM.
As for lock screen, I don't think it's possible to have it on Cyanogenmod. Why move to Cyanogenmod anyway when stock is good? ?
Does anyone know of a wiring multi window rom, Omni style?

Yeah... next time, just look for it in the development forum.
Wasn't there an Xposed module, or some sort of apk that someone developed in the last two weeks to do the same thing? I've been really busy at work so I haven't been my usual download / flash happy self in the last month, but I could swear I saw that somewhere.
There is a older xposed module, as in months that is, but I don't care for it. I'd be interested if there was something else to look at. I've used a few roms where omnis implementation just worked so awesome, on other devices.
