[Q] AT&T SM-P907A Custom Recovery? - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am on 4.4.2 and have root access with SuperSU installed and Knox disabled. Trying to install TWRP by flashing from the app. When I attempt to boot into recovery I get an AT&T messasge showing it's an unknown recovery. I can boot back into main but not into recovery.
I'm just trying to install TWRP so I can possible install LineageOS 14.1. I know getting an LTE version isn't the best idea but it was cheap, just want to be on Nougat.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Well I'll just keep it on stock 5.1. Sucks but got it for dirt cheap and doubt I'll find a Wi-Fi model for cheap.

[Completed] Cant't seem to get a custom recovery to work,despite being rooted.

Ok so a bit of background on the hardware I am using a y300 and have the bootloader unlocked and the phone rooted. I have done so in hopes of installing a custom rom (slim kat probably) but the custom recoveries just don't want to work on this phone! I have installed clockword and TWRP (which I have installed, in-app, by img since it refuses to download from the internet?) but yet whenever I go to recovery, even from within these apps I am in what looks like a stock android recovery and cannot install my rom (says installation aborted or something similar). I have granted root access on both and am pulling my hair out at this stage. I have experience with Galaxy's installing custom ROM's so I am not a total novice but this has stumped me, anyone able to offer any advice?
Thank you in advance!
When root is not properly installed, a custom recovery gets overwritten at boot with the stock recovery. This may the issue you are having!
I'd reccomend asking in this thread here [Guide] Huawei Ascend Y300 Unlock & Root
Some of the users with the same phone, Y300, may be able to help you!

Whenever I get a new Android device or one of my family members does, I always(if possible of course) unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and root the phone. When you do it, right after you bought it, there isn't any chance that you lose data. Plus, it's super easy.
Just my take on this.
Custom ROMs are of course a possibility, but most of the time I test a whole bunch and choose my favorite.
Current setup is Multirom with SlimKat and crDroid. It's amazing!
soon as it got delivered i unlocked the bootloader and flashed twrp. installed slim.
First thing you should do (after charging to 100%) is unlock the bootloader, install TWRP, and make a backup of the stock ROM. Do that before you even switch it on.

I did the above but with a slight change. I just booted CWM instead of flashing it so till running stock recovery but rooted.
I did this from 5.0.1 after unlocking the bootloader which was a piece of cake. There is a great guide on this forum.

Want to unlock my bootloader + installing TWRP

Hello all,
I am receiving tomorrow my new Samsung S6 and i want to know some things.
- Unlocking bootloader (how to and link?) - have searched a bit and you need ODIN. but what is the best version etc
- Installing TWRP3.0 (how-to) - where to find the latest TWRP for samsung s6
And than one of the most important question, is there a stock android that doesent have any buys and fc's????
Bootloader is not locked on S6 (except AT&T variant)
You can get latest ODIN from here;
http://dl.sammobile.com/Odin3_v3.10.7.zip
If you want to install TWRP on it;
1- Update it to Marsmallow if you haven't
2- Install this TWRP via ODIN;
http://arter97.com/browse/S6/kernel/13.1/g920fi/arter97-recovery-g920fi-13.1-twrp_3.0.2-0.tar.md5
3- Boot up to TWRP and flash this ZIP before do anything on TWRP;
https://download.chainfire.eu/932/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.71-20160331103524.zip

Wouldn't this order make more sense so he had a backup in case something goes wrong?
Also, here are the threads for TWRP and SuperSU for the S6 on XDA:

No, and there probably won't be any for a long time, but there are lots of TouchWiz-based custom ROMs.
so basicly i dont need any customezation? because you telling me there will not be released a custom stock rom? Even a CM13 rom
thats poor services!

Correct. The only custom ROMs availability now and the foreseeable future are based on TouchWiz, not AOSP Android or CyanogenMod.

He need dm-verity disabled boot image for working TWRP backups. That's why I suggest him to install this ZIP.
While reading topics on the internet (google)
If you THE smartphone update to 6.0 you do not need to unlock the bootloader. is this correct?
For now i will not use TWRP because there isent a proper ROM for the S6. is this because the exynoss CPU? because QSD cpu's have always the better support for CM..

As I said before, there's no bootloader unlock because bootloader is factory-unlocked on Samsung devices.
If you want root, you should to use TWRP for install the latest SuperSU.
Yes, there's no CM ROM for Exynos 7420 right now. Maybe in future? Who knows...
is there a twrp that works because the original twrp that i download form twrp.me isent working getting a weird issue: recovery is not seandroid enforcing

i tried to install it, used the AP method in Odin.
But when i want to go in TWRP recovery i get the stock recovery! How to solve this issue
I'm having this issue as well on the T-Mobile variant. I have tried the unchecking auto reboot option in Odin and manually going to recovery. When I successfully flash according to Odin, I can't not get past the Recovery is not Seandroid enforcing boot.

Is the Moto G7 Power rootable?

I noticed that there's now a TWRP recovery on TWRP's official app, but I just want to make sure I can root it before I buy it. I'm kind of a noob to rooting, but I haven't seen any posts about there now being a TWRP recovery. Any advice?

Didn't need twrp to root.
Need to be able to unlock bootloader.
Stay a way from a branded phone like Verizon, AT&T and other carriers.
