Hello
I have a note 2 with bad chip dead.
Is there anyway to fix this.
Can I buy the chip and fix it myself?
Thanks
Hi @davidpina45,
XDA isn't as hardware related as your question, so I can't direct you to a thread.
You can probably go ahead and order a Motherboard on Ebay, and replace it yourself. Do a quick Ebay search and you should find it. I see them for about 130 USD.
There is a guide here which should help you taking apart your Note 2.
Good luck, hope you get it fixed!
Bought what I'm guessing is an S6 clone, no I didnt buy it knowing it was a clone.
The phone says its a G920F.
Anyway I cant get AT&T to work on it.
Can someone please point me in the right direction ?
I've gone to the AT&T site and plugged in what they say to in the ASN section.
Still no go.

Hello! I'm not sure whether you've tried asking your question in the dedicated forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6
You may be able to get a few pointers there.
Good luck!

Ok looking to replace my samsung 10.1 tablet... was looking at an s2 or something... seems there are only samsung and apple... do not want an apple... now doing some searching and there are a bunch of numbers usually after the name... like t815, t813 or t713 or something... what do they mean and what would be a good tablet for around £400... looking for me and my kids tbh... any help is greatly appreciated... many thanks

Hiya,
Just read your post and believe i can be of help to you. If you are dead set against Apple, there are various other tablets around such as Sony Xperia and Nokia/Microsoft Lumia, but if you want a leading tablet it would be best to stick with Samsung maybe?
The S2 would probably be a suitable replacement for you as being samsung, you will already be familiar with its functions etc, and the S2 comes in different screen sizes. The closest to your old 10.1 being the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 - the 9.7 being the screen size in inches.
As to the confusion over the bunch of numbers after the name, they are just its model number. The t815 would be the 9.7inch S2 that I just mentioned with wifi and 4g connectivity. Also depending on your budget, brand new these can be £370-400 I have found, yet you can get an excellent quality second hand device for around £280-300 from sites such as 4gadgets
I hope you found this helpful, but if you require any further information feel free to ask (^_^)
thanks for the info much appreciated...
Hi all
well, this brick has been bugging me for a while so I am finally going to do something about it, However while Im ok with computers , I have no Idea what im doing with this phone ( tis why I bricked it , when did a factory reset without removing my google account aparently) ! anyway , me boy bought phone, I bricked it and he got a new computer. So I would like to make this phone work again. We took it to repair shops and even Emailed samsung ( terrible after sales service ) but as we have moved countries , now in Japan , the repair shops are saying take it back to where you bought it , singapore! .. so I turn to XDA ! the phone is a Galaxy S10 plus Sm- G975F/DS SL if that makes any sense, I use a linux pc but we have a Japanese windows 10 pc in the house, so Im guessing Odin? will work.. Can someone steer me in the right direction
Thanks in advance
Stephen
