Deciphering tablets, numbers and suggestions for a good one £400 or less - General Questions and Answers

Ok looking to replace my samsung 10.1 tablet... was looking at an s2 or something... seems there are only samsung and apple... do not want an apple... now doing some searching and there are a bunch of numbers usually after the name... like t815, t813 or t713 or something... what do they mean and what would be a good tablet for around £400... looking for me and my kids tbh... any help is greatly appreciated... many thanks

Hiya,
Just read your post and believe i can be of help to you. If you are dead set against Apple, there are various other tablets around such as Sony Xperia and Nokia/Microsoft Lumia, but if you want a leading tablet it would be best to stick with Samsung maybe?
The S2 would probably be a suitable replacement for you as being samsung, you will already be familiar with its functions etc, and the S2 comes in different screen sizes. The closest to your old 10.1 being the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 - the 9.7 being the screen size in inches.
As to the confusion over the bunch of numbers after the name, they are just its model number. The t815 would be the 9.7inch S2 that I just mentioned with wifi and 4g connectivity. Also depending on your budget, brand new these can be £370-400 I have found, yet you can get an excellent quality second hand device for around £280-300 from sites such as 4gadgets
I hope you found this helpful, but if you require any further information feel free to ask (^_^)

thanks for the info much appreciated...

[Q]What Smartphone should I get?

So I'm pretty new to this Smartphone thingie, actually I come from a Nokia 5800. Says quite alot dosent it?
I've been looking every single test I could get my hands on the last few days, and at best, it only confused me more.
I've been having a really really hard time deciding what my first real venture into Smartphones should be. I'm not a software geek nor a software newbie, so I like to fiddle around with stuff to make it suit me the best.
What I'm looking for in a phone:
Big screen
Good colors
Easy to text
Good camera
Easy to browse on
These phones are the ones I'm currently interested in:
Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Nexus S
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
HTC Desire
HTC Desire S
As I said, a big screen means alot to me. Its just a jungle out there, and its really really hard to choose a new phone now.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this sort of question, but I havent been able to find a topic for it. If something like that exists, then please point me in the right direction.
On the other hand, maybe I should wait for the Samsung Galaxy 2

Mfox a7/a10/a11?

Anyone know anything about the new MFOX line of rugged phones? I am replacing a Galaxy S5 Active and am pretty fed up with Samsung (i.e. S6A has no SD card and is AT&T only, so you have to deal with that crap). I have been looking for alternatives and came across MFOX.
The specs look good and has almost everything I want from a phone...
MFOX-A7-Pro-Rugged-Smartphone
Problem is, I cannot find much about them outside of specs. It appears it does not come with Google Play, I want to make sure that can be side loaded.
Anyone have one of these and can share your thoughts?
Thank you very kindly.
mFox A10 root
I'm looking for a solution to rooting my mFox a10 phone.
I thought I'd just add to this thread... kinna like a bump...
Anyway, I think I can do it but I'm just looking for some feedback from someone who actually has experience with this phone.
Is there anyone out there who has actually done this?
Is there a specific procedure I should use?
Are there any precautions that are specific to this phone model?
Thanks in advance for any information about this process!

Have you used MobiiSpy software?

Hello everyone :
I'm looking for a good spy software for my son's samsung galaxy s6. I'm not startying this thread to discuss whether parents should or shouldn't spy on their kids phones.
I'm wondering if anyone of you guys can give any advice in this regard, please! I'm looking for efficient software that work well not something cann't work longer than couple of days. I, also prefer something that can capture screenshots of the phone.
I came across "MobiiSpy" and I'd appreciate it if you can give any recommendations about this software or any other ones.
Cheers

[Completed] Tab needed for ebook reader

My wife has destroyed her old Nook and needs a new ebook reader in the 7" to 8" range.
With so many tabs out there to choose from, I'm needing some help.
The Galaxy tabs seem to get good reviews but there are so many I'm horribly confused as to how to choose one.
I've personally owned several different tabs and rooted them all so that is not the issue it's just trying to get her a good foundation tab that will be around for a while.
TNX for your thoughts.
