For those of us who got the Galaxy S8 or S8+, it has rounded corners on the screen, meaning that if you have the battery level and time displayed in the title bar, the minutes of the time aren't visible.
Is it possible to have an option to shift the text in from the top/right a little, so that we can see the minutes while the video is playing?
The funny thing is that if you capture a screen shot, the text in the corner is there, it's just not visible on the device as the screen corners are rounded to "remove" part of the screen visible area - a price we pay for aesthetics
[Feature Request] Please allow bottom text to be shifted inwards for curved corners
The last few device's I've owned - LG G6, S8 Plus, and now Note 8 - all have curved corners on their screen, so on-screen text placed at the bottom during playback, such as elapsed time and battery/clock are getting cut off.
Can you please toggle or allow adjustment of these text fields to be moved inwards to accommodate these types of displays?
Thanks for a great app!
Is there already a solution for this?

I am looking for a solution to this problem as well. It's not just the Galaxy S8 that is affected. I am seeing this issue on my Pixel 2 XL as well.
Has no other problems with it?

The radius of the corner varies by device. And any app can't get the exact value.
As a workaround, In next version, we will a new option to set the corner offset. It will available only when you have enabled either Elapsed Time or Battery/Clock. You can adjust it according to your requirement.

Hey guys
I'm currently running version 1.19.16 and still haven't seen any option to move the clock/time battery away from the corners.
I'm looking for it in settings / player / screen, where I can enable or disable the clock/time/ battery on screen when the video's playing...

On v1.9.18.2, We have added a new option to manually adjust the corner offset. Currently, it's rolled out to the public beta testers. You can check it out if you are interested.

Yes but the OP wanted it integrated into the navigation bar like Paranoid Android does (in my opinion I think it looks great UI wise).
It got merged but was abandoned (https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/2312/) because not all devices have on screen buttons so it's just easier to have the one in the Recents menu corner
Personally I wish there was an option for this.
Does anyone out there have the Motion Photo feature on the camera? I have a 930U and can't find it in the camera modes. It is described here about 1/2 way down the page:
http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/galaxy-s7/camera/
I like this feature for taking pictures of things like a dolphin jumping for example because you can take a picture of something after it has already happened. Has is been removed from the phone?
Does anyone out there have Motion Phone on their phone? 930U or other?
No. Unfortunately not

I am loving this feature and I did not realize it was a part of the latest update. I got my S8 yesterday so I didn't have much time to play around before an update showed up which I installed straight away. It's great if you are playing games without the fullscreen setting on as it makes games seem bigger by itself.
I have the same build. ATT carrier US device. No hide navbar feature for me...
it's good but what would be better is if it remembered your choice for different apps. There are some apps like instagram which I'm always needing the back button. Other like BBC News which i'm reading longer stories so don't 'need it
And they shouldn't have killed the colour picker option for the nav bar. That's horrible

In some apps it works buggy, for example in snapchat when you take a picture the bottom part of the screen shows cam recording. But it is a cool feature
I have built a mini app to stop most annoying things in my "not yet" rooted Galaxy S9+
!!YOU DONT NEED ROOT BUT YOU HAVE TO GRANT PERMISSION VIA ADB SHELL !!
you need a working adb shell. the app creates a windows batchfile to grant the needed permissions. (thisPC->Phone->_samtweaks->GrantPermissions.bat)
once permission granted the app can enable reverse protrait oriantation ( i.e. needed if you like to charge you phone in cars cup holder with usb port on top)
disable the Max Volume Warning (if checked it come up once and then never again)
and set Navbar Color to Black...
maybe more in future
ok. i put it on playstore much easier to update ;o)
updated:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4982731&d=1585652129
made a version for android 10. and added launch and download buttons for samsungs goodlook apps.
i.e. in QuickStar you can set Clocl position
update SamTweakPie20191021.zip;
-added statusbar clockposition (left/middle/right)
-added "hideAlarmclock" option
update samTweakPie.beta:
new Version for Android Pie. remove all options that doesent work anymore with Pie. fix for High Volume Warning. Added a Whitelist for PrivateDNS (because i had problems with amazon app while PrivateDNS is active)
be aware! SamtweakPie need UsageStatistic Permission,AccessibilityInfo Permission, and (as before) WriteSystemsettings Permission (adb.batchfile) for this all ;o)
update v1.09:
added enable/disable Headup Notification
update v1.07:
with new app-id back in playstore.... but you have to uninstall the old version.
update v1.06:
fixed the bug where samtweaks re-enable autorotation
update v1.05:
fixed the max brightness warning
** MAYBE YOU HAVE TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL SAMTWEAK **
samsung moved the property fom Settings.Global to Settings System.... BUT with API level 23 samtweak is not allowd to write Systemsettings. So i had to lower the Apilevel from 23 to 22 , sorry... ;o)
update v1.04:
-fix for 4 row quicksettings return to 3 rows...
-edittext to set a custom navbar color in ARGB Format (i.e. FF00FF00)
update v1.03:
-added immersiv control and 4 rows of quicksettings tiles
found a small bug. update v1.02is here ->

Thank you for this, I wanted all of these features, especially the black nav bar and I couldn''t force it otherwise and the upside down feature will help a lot now that summer is coming and I use a USB powered fan from the charging port!
Black Navigation bar doesn't work on the international version. It wouldn't let me check on the selection as see on the attachment provided.
Very useful... thanks. Would it be possible to add options to remove the battery full and service provider from the notification bar.
Is there something like this for the 'brightness' warning?

Maybe ... We have to check if there is a secure system setting that is responible for this. Then we can change the setting.
In adb shell you can execute:
Settings list system
Settings list global
And
Settings list secure
You can also set this settings with the put command. Check the link a few posts above for details.

Get actual Samsung Edge Lighting Notifications with any app while your screen is off!
Since we all know Samsung only did half the job with this feature, this app will enable you to trigger Edge Lighting (the real one !) when your screen is off. It works with any app by reading the app notification creating a new temporary notification that triggers edge lighting (you won't notice it in your notification list).
You can set custom color filters for your apps, based on their names.
Features:
Real Samsung Edge Lighting
Extremely minimal battery drain
No fake AOD Screen
Works with ANY app (including Messenger!)
Initial setup is a bit tedious, but that's mostly Samsung's fault.
Any suggestion to improve the app is -of course- welcome!
Download link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.zunder.edgelightingfixforallappsv2
Patch notes:
Users using a version priori to 1.2 need to install a new version of the app from the market (link updated in the first post)!
v1.24
Fixed an issue that caused the app to crash for some users.
v1.23
Added a custom icon feature for each app (Premium feature)
v1.22
Added a switch to enable/disable display of system apps in the list
v1.21
Fixed a switch display bug when using the search feature.
v1.2
Just to explain: I had to create a new app on Play store because, for whatever reason, the Play Console won't let me update the old one.
- New super sexy interface
- Filter search
- In-app support purchase to remove ads
v1.07
Added support for Do not Disturb mode. You can still bypass it in the notification parameters on my app, but there is no way so far I can make it work on a per application basis.
v1.06
Taping an app icon now now copies its name to the clipboard for faster filters setup.
v1.05
Added a detailed help screen
v1.04
Finally added an icon for the app
v1.03
Fixed the issue about the switches resetting when you scroll

When you choose your edge notification style, you should be able to pick a color. Set it as custom and add filters from notification titles (which are the source apps names the way they are displayed in my app)

For now, no I just implemented a basic Samsung Edge Lighting notification, so you got what they designed.
I will see how I can make the notfication repeat at a fixed interval set by the user. I'm just afraid it will be extremely battery hungry.

With my app, notifications shouldn't wake your screen up but give you an edge light.
When you get in the menu for custom color, you have to allow my app ("Edge Lighting for all Apps") to send Edge Lighting notifications.
Edit: do you understand that Edge Lighting will prevent notifications from turning the screen on but instead display some kind of edge light while keeping your screen off?
