I have one Problem with Go Launcher on my "One S":
The Menu-Button (With the three Dots) is always on, and so use a lot of useless Space on my Display.
Is there a way to hide the Button?
Sorry for my ugly English.
Yes, using the search function or simply read some ROM descriptions instead of spamming the board might help

If you're tired of the on screen buttons getting in the way of typing, root your phone with weak sauce and then download gmd hide soft keys from the play store. Here is a video if you want to see it in action.

yeah cool app been using it from day one so good i paid for it
Actually, I'm sick and tired of the bloody keys constantly disappearing when I most need them. We have a huge screen already and I'd rather have a mod that nails the keys in place, so that they never ever disappear. Lol.
Just my 2 cents...

You can still manipulate things like transparency, height, width and colour with the app so its pretty good if you want that too.
Personally hate the speaker chin and button combo, wish they went with the HOX set up. Used to using pie now anyways.

Does anyone know how to keep the stock navbar icons with this GMD Auto-Hide app? I like the app but don't like the buttons it uses, even when you choose the "HTC" option under themes. They just look ugly compared to the normal stock navbar icons.
this is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for posting this. Now I can utilize ALL of the screen.
Personally I always need the buttons when they are gone for a second with GMD

Thank you for that great hint.
This App works like a charm !
Install LMT Pie (XDA Download) and setup for BACK/HOME/RECENTS/MENU
Change build prop to remove software keys
Profit
You all realize this is "immersive mode" in android. The buttons only hide when they aren't needed. Simply swipe where the NAV bar would be and the icons come back.
Not to thread jack... but I'm currently using Ultimate Dynamic Nav bar (see this thread on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2270198).
I find it more flexable (you can set your own keys, have up to 7, multiple themes, multiple behaviors).
Best feature? I have a button dedicated for screen off, and when you long press it, it opens up APM. I also have a menu button which launches volume control upon long press.
An alternative that works on the M8.
EDIT:
Whoops wrong Screenshot, please see the new one.
Is it possible to permanently cut down the height of the stock navbar by half?

From what I can tell.. no there isn't. However, using any of these custom applications, you can adjust the height of the nav bars.

Brilliant find. This is exactly what I was looking for! Cheers!
Edit: Only thing it doesn't seem to work in is the camera. Cant see to call up the buttons, but all you have to do is go into the gallery and then it will work there.

I just checked this and it works for me
In the options menu, you need to select "Keep trigger at panels side" as well as "Keep panel on right". Then you can swipe on the right when using the camera and it will work.
It is a bit confusing, but if you don't have those options selected, when in the Camera you need to swipe from the button to open the buttons.

Wunderbar! Danke. That's about the limit of my german!
I wonder if the action bar settings in Dimensions Editor don't work in some apps because those apps have a set height for the action bar.

Like this, seems to work well. Would be better if it could be set on a per app basis, to keep them visible when running certain apps.
All of you do realize that 4.4.2 has "Immersive Mode" that lets you hide the Status Bar and/or the Nav Bar until they're needed, right??
ALL of these special NavBar apps and whatnot are redundant.
For those of us who got the Galaxy S8 or S8+, it has rounded corners on the screen, meaning that if you have the battery level and time displayed in the title bar, the minutes of the time aren't visible.
Is it possible to have an option to shift the text in from the top/right a little, so that we can see the minutes while the video is playing?
The funny thing is that if you capture a screen shot, the text in the corner is there, it's just not visible on the device as the screen corners are rounded to "remove" part of the screen visible area - a price we pay for aesthetics
[Feature Request] Please allow bottom text to be shifted inwards for curved corners
The last few device's I've owned - LG G6, S8 Plus, and now Note 8 - all have curved corners on their screen, so on-screen text placed at the bottom during playback, such as elapsed time and battery/clock are getting cut off.
Can you please toggle or allow adjustment of these text fields to be moved inwards to accommodate these types of displays?
Thanks for a great app!
Is there already a solution for this?

The radius of the corner varies by device. And any app can't get the exact value.
As a workaround, In next version, we will a new option to set the corner offset. It will available only when you have enabled either Elapsed Time or Battery/Clock. You can adjust it according to your requirement.

Where's the option?
Hey guys
I'm currently running version 1.19.16 and still haven't seen any option to move the clock/time battery away from the corners.
I'm looking for it in settings / player / screen, where I can enable or disable the clock/time/ battery on screen when the video's playing...

On v1.9.18.2, We have added a new option to manually adjust the corner offset. Currently, it's rolled out to the public beta testers. You can check it out if you are interested.

I really don't like the inconsistency between apps with and without tint or flat style colors. I'd prefer an all black look. Any way to do this?

maybe root and use some xposed module?
there is a long way without root.
- use a apk Cloner like app cloner
- it allows you to create a copy of 99% of apps, and allows a few hacks like what colour the status bar should be., custom app icon, mute on start, password lock the app, etc..
install thec clone and uninstall the original app.
- repeat for all apps and try not to update as often... horrible but achievable.

Navbar Apps may do the job. I think you can set it to globally make the Nav Bar whatever color you want, or let it choose based on the color scheme of the app that is open.
I have built a mini app to stop most annoying things in my "not yet" rooted Galaxy S9+
!!YOU DONT NEED ROOT BUT YOU HAVE TO GRANT PERMISSION VIA ADB SHELL !!
you need a working adb shell. the app creates a windows batchfile to grant the needed permissions. (thisPC->Phone->_samtweaks->GrantPermissions.bat)
once permission granted the app can enable reverse protrait oriantation ( i.e. needed if you like to charge you phone in cars cup holder with usb port on top)
disable the Max Volume Warning (if checked it come up once and then never again)
and set Navbar Color to Black...
maybe more in future
ok. i put it on playstore much easier to update ;o)
updated:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4982731&d=1585652129
made a version for android 10. and added launch and download buttons for samsungs goodlook apps.
i.e. in QuickStar you can set Clocl position
update SamTweakPie20191021.zip;
-added statusbar clockposition (left/middle/right)
-added "hideAlarmclock" option
update samTweakPie.beta:
new Version for Android Pie. remove all options that doesent work anymore with Pie. fix for High Volume Warning. Added a Whitelist for PrivateDNS (because i had problems with amazon app while PrivateDNS is active)
be aware! SamtweakPie need UsageStatistic Permission,AccessibilityInfo Permission, and (as before) WriteSystemsettings Permission (adb.batchfile) for this all ;o)
update v1.09:
added enable/disable Headup Notification
update v1.07:
with new app-id back in playstore.... but you have to uninstall the old version.
update v1.06:
fixed the bug where samtweaks re-enable autorotation
update v1.05:
fixed the max brightness warning
** MAYBE YOU HAVE TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL SAMTWEAK **
samsung moved the property fom Settings.Global to Settings System.... BUT with API level 23 samtweak is not allowd to write Systemsettings. So i had to lower the Apilevel from 23 to 22 , sorry... ;o)
update v1.04:
-fix for 4 row quicksettings return to 3 rows...
-edittext to set a custom navbar color in ARGB Format (i.e. FF00FF00)
update v1.03:
-added immersiv control and 4 rows of quicksettings tiles
found a small bug. update v1.02is here ->
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.inteks.samtweak2
update v1.01:
-added "Disable Max brightness Warning"
have fun

Thank you for this, I wanted all of these features, especially the black nav bar and I couldn''t force it otherwise and the upside down feature will help a lot now that summer is coming and I use a USB powered fan from the charging port!
Black Navigation bar doesn't work on the international version. It wouldn't let me check on the selection as see on the attachment provided.
Very useful... thanks. Would it be possible to add options to remove the battery full and service provider from the notification bar.
Is there something like this for the 'brightness' warning?

Maybe ... We have to check if there is a secure system setting that is responible for this. Then we can change the setting.
In adb shell you can execute:
Settings list system
Settings list global
And
Settings list secure
You can also set this settings with the put command. Check the link a few posts above for details.
