OmniSwitch interfers with the install button when installing apks. - General Ground Zero ROMS Discussion

I'm completely new to this ROM (Validus) and so far I'm very impressed. SOT is great and the customisation options are plentiful.
The only issue I've noticed so far is that when I try to install an apk it doesn't allow me to press the "install" button in the right bottom corner when omniswitch is enabled.
Other than that I decided to keep this ROM as my daily driver on my OPO.

As a workaround, try disabling the Drag Handle in OmniSwitch settings. You can then use your Recents button to launch OmniSwitch.

@spires is correct, either place is fine. We're just trying to provide options

What's about NFC, actually like a lot other roms it doesn't work, greyed out. I'm on latest validus n6p.
Except the omni and nfc issue it's a amazing rom, thx!!!

[Q] Moto G Quick settings - 2 fingers only?

Hi Guys, I searched a lot in the Moto G forum looking for the answer to my question, but sadly I couldn't find it. What I want to know is why the Quick Settings menu in the Moto G (the tiles menu, the one with the owner picture, wi-fi, data, bluetooth toggles...) can only be accessed using two fingers? I ask that because I come from a Samsung Galaxy Mini and a Galaxy Wonder, both running CM10, and in them I can access the quick settings by both pulling the status bar with two fingers or simply pulling it from the right corner, what I think to be a faster and more natural option.
Can anyone confirm that in KitKat this annoyance has been fixed? Isn't it a standard jellybean feature? If it is, why would Motorola disable it?
Thanks in advance for anyone that can answer.
My Moto G is still on 4.3, but my Nexus 5 with KitKat needs 2 fingers aswell.

AOSP's quick settings menu doesn't support opening from the right corner in phone UI mode. It's weird. CM10 added that functionality.

That is just too bad then... will take sometime to get used to not having this feature and that button to close all recent apps. Hopefully we'll have CM on the G soon.... Thanks for answering.
It's an added feature that Cyanogen added in.

You just need to install Xposed framework and GravityBox (JB or KK depending on your MotoG rom) for this to work. It's one of the best plugin for xposed.
1st install Xposed, then GravityBox then reboot.
Go back to Xposed, select GravityBox module and then enable all the options you want (in that case your quick settings)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316070
Agreed that Gravity Box, as usual, holds the solution to most "must be a better way while remaining stock" questions and I personally use the quick settings from the right option, along with resizing, ordering and adding more settings, BUT they're still available with one finger as standard via the settings/notifications toggle in the top right corner, just needs a swipe and then a press so not a great hardship if you don't want to root.
If you're going to root a virtually vanilla Android phone like this though, Xposed is the way to go nowadays as you effectively build a custom ROM to your exact spec, not a lot of reasons to install someone elses ROM that has as much bloat as Samsung put in theirs as nearly all the good bits are available as modules for Xposed.

I like using the phone with just one hand (moto g) and defined a Nova action to access that menu. This is my screen now. The little hand scrolls down the notification bar and the home button opens the quick settings.

[4.0+]OneClick Scroll v1.1.0 - one touch to scroll to top/bottom of anything scrollable

[4.0+]OneClick Scroll v1.1.0 - one touch to scroll to top/bottom of anything scrollable
Intro
I recently added two new features (Scroll to top and scroll to bottom) for my other app, Button Savior. The more I play with it, the more I believe it should be made as a separate app. So here it is. Since I only spent one day to develop this app, so I will continue through in more features later. I believe this app should work for you. If it doesn't, please post a reply here. Thanks in advanced.
This app, as in first release, does only two things. But they can come in extremely handy when you are in a situation that you want to quickly return to top of a list or a web page. Before this app, you need to swipe again and again until you hit the top. Things get worse when the list is loooooong. With OneClick Scroll, all you need to do is to tap on top left corner on statusbar to scroll to top and tap on top right corner on statusbar to scroll to bottom.
I have tested on two of my devices and most apps I have. It works in browser, Facebook, playstore. gmail, contact, phone history...... virtually anything scrollable. If it fails to scroll to top/bottom in your case, please let me know the app that fails.

Only small niggle/issue I have with it: it interferes a bit with the right-quick-pulldown of the notification area using some AOSP Roms. When I want to drag the notifications down the page scrolls to the bottom.
A user selectable area a bit to the left of the utmost right would be ideal, but I don't know if that's possible

[Q] HELP me get rid of Google Now triangle from lockscreen

Guys,
Can somebody tell me how can I remove that little triangle showing in the bottom center of the lockscreen that is used to launch google search ??
It actually is interfering with my Home button on the Navbar as it doesnt disappear after unlocking and in turn shows up behind the Navbar Home button. I have attached the screenshot for your reference (Look at what I have encircled in red in the bottom center of the screen).
I am using Omnirom on my N5
Let's start with "what mod/app did you install on top of your ROM that gave you that little triangle"? The stock ROM doesn't seem to have that.
Ummmm... I dont think i installed any such mod which could have enabled this.. Can you suggest me something???
And the stock omni has one.. I just checked it out.. check the 2nd pic in the attachment in the link that you posted.. Can you see that triangle?

My guess would be it's a bug in the ROM. That arrow is only supposed to be visible on the lockscreen when you don't have a navigation bar. What happens when you tap on the triangle? Does it function as the home button or not? Is there anything in the Omnirom settings to configure the nav bar?
I would say either take it to the Omnirom thread and see if anyone else is having the issue or try flashing another ROM.
okies.. thanks..

I don't think it has anything to do with Omnirom as I'm having the same problem and don't have Omnirom. I'm just running Xposed and Gravity Box and this stupid little arrow has been driving me nuts for about six weeks now.
I though it might have to do with NotificationMod Xposed module so I uninstalled it but it still appears.

If you are, we can try and see which modules we have in common.
Also, I just remembered I messed up flashing something last week and had to factory reset and the arrow is still appearing so it's definitely a bug in some app.

I've disabled SoftKeysFadeMod and am going to look through GEL Settings to see if there's an option to disable GN on lock screen.
I'll probably put my money that SoftKeysFade is the issue.

You have multiple mods that have to do with the navbar. Any one of those could be causing the problem. Try disabling them and reboot.

It's good to see AOKP on this device. If I recall, the previous build ran well but seemed to die off from lack of interest. No matter who maintains this - I hope it catches on. The Relay is a good device and deserves to see some love.
Alright the changes are in progress for official AOKP support. Check gerrit.aokp.co if you are a developer or just curious. I'll try to fix the keyboard notification and double check everything, then submit the changes. apexq should be in the next official nightly.

Holy crap, I am LOVING this rom! I only found a few minor issues:
-Cannot change the vibrate for incoming messages. I usually have multiple short selected
-Typing out emoticons doesn't turn them into emoticons -p)
-The tiles come out kind of awful. If I set up a good configuration in landscape, you can hardly see them in portrait. Need an option to fit the tiles to one screen instead of simply "4 per row"

Seems about the same to me. I'm at 76% after 3 hours. I'm not actively using my phone though.
I don't know what I was doing, but it dropped a good 20% over the next hour after that. Wut?
Nice ROM. Good job.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to set 180-degree rotation mode, in addtion to the others? All I've been able to find is rotation on/off, with "on" always providing 0, 90, and 270.
2. Is there a way to prevent the "Select keyboard layout" notification from showing up at every restart? I already have "sec_keypad" with "ApexQ QWERTY - Relay keypad" selected by default.
Thank you very much.

Longtime xda user but have been out of the modding scene for many many years now, so forgive me if my question is stupid. Just got the P7P and put magisk etc on it. I don't like gesture navigation, and I am surprised that google doesn't allow nav bar button customization, which is something that has existed on various android implementations for as long as android has been around. Is there a magisk module that can do this on the latest 12/22 firmware? All google search results return with very old posts, and at this time I don't know how to recover from a bootloop if I do take a chance on flashing something.
Something that I had personally suggest is the Navigation Bar (9.0 +) module for Magisk, you can find it on Github.
Here's a link: Navigation Bar (9.0+)
There are many more methods but you can mention me anytime if this doesn't works.
Sent by me from A50s with TWRP and S12 Revolt Corvus OS
Check out AOSP mod. It allows configuration for the nav buttons. It is a good replacement for Gravitybox.
After years of 3 button nav, I switched to gestures. It took a few days to get used to it. Now it is built into my flabby muscle memory.

How do you deal with the back gesture that is the same gesture to open side panels in lots of apps?

I use just the right side for back. The left swipe opens the side panel

Using Gestures, love it. Was a hardcore Navbar user.
Don't seem to have any issue with gestures and side panels.
Any specific app you are referring to?
I am using viber, skytube, k-9 mail, nextcloud, Mixplorer. Just to mention a few where I constantly use side panels and weird stuff happens when trying to open it due to the functional overlap

Hey there mate. How are you supposed to use this module ? Wasn't able to find any guide or documentation for it. Do I need to write something in Termux ?

It's a magisk module, installed like any other magisk module.
I use vivid navigation gestures with aospmods.

Thought this module would allow me to customize the navigation bar. Like change the navigation bar icons to look like Samsung or Xperia or Nexus. Was i wrong ? Is there a more suitable module for this ?
