Hey guys so I recently flashed RR ( Resurrection remix ) ROM which is one of the best ROM (in my opinion) but I guess it doesn't support slow-mo video recording any alternative camera app which can record slow-motion videos ?

I am still on COS13 (shame one me) because i like so much the slow shutter mode for night pictures and i cant find it on snapdragon cam. Thats the only thing pushing me away form nougat.

Bro slow shutter mode is working on Nougat as well. You have to download the color os camera +plugins,but HD picture and slow motion is not working. Hope it will help you.
I did search a camera app has decent quality that works on LineageOS 14.1, and found nothing. Tried recent Google camera and multiple versions of CameraNext. So far I am sticking in LineageOS 13 and CameraNext extracted from latest CM13s.

Baconcamera is good but slowmotion is not working.
i got 1080p 60fps working but not 720p 120fps

Will wait for it... Bdw also running RR_r25 and using boeffla beta 12.
it seems that ab123321+ OOS blobs does not do anything , maybe the camera app needs to be redone to work with new BLOBS API or something , idk
also because i am using camera app that was supposed to be used for android 6.0 , maybe it is not working
But everyone say that these OOS blobs make the camera perform good, will try to compare and post if i find anything
I find Boeffla more stable and also has more tweaking options and i get much more less battery drain when in sleep

actually it replaces the Boffella kernel
ab123321 is another kernel based on Linux kernel 3.10 patches while boffella is based on Linux 3.4 kernel , i remember reading that he stopped developing for OPO but has been updating the kernel with compatability stuff
As for your question, you can just flash ab123321 kernel with blobs on any ROM so it does not matter which boffella version you have

I use lightning OOS 55 kernel with ab123321 OOS blobs, but you are saying Boeffla kernel has also some advantages, so i want to try boeffla kernel with ab123321 OOS blobs. But lightning kernel has cm, OOS, coloros versions, that's why i think I need boeffla kernel with OOS blobs support, pls advise.

Oh sorry , i did not get you last time
anyway it is said in ab123321 kernel page that those blobs only work with ab123321 kernel so i dont think you can have blobs if you want any kernel other thank ab123321 or you have to install a seperate ROM which comes with Blobs integrated
Also i am not sure how you got blobs working with lighting kernel
and i dont think they will work with boeffla

By anything i mean in slowmotion feature or features that are diabled right now
Maybe it had improved the camera performance a little but i did not wait to check as i was getting lot of bugs because of kernel , so i moved back to boeffela

I tried it slow motion is working but low light images are too noisy. But I think sultans ROM was and is one of the best ROM for OPO. I hope he will release his own nougat version of lineage os.

I'm on official lineage os build.
Kernel- ab123321 +sultanxda blobs
i managed to port camera from oos 3.5.6 oneplus 2
if u have have installed the camera port v3.5 oos 3.0.2 by ghbuur :
1) delete oneplus camera and oneplus camera service from system/priv-app
2) delete org.codeaurora.camera.jar from system/framework
then reboot to recovery to flash.
after flashing clear data of oneplus camera.
happy flashing
isn't oos 3.1.0 and 3.5.6 camera same?

yeah same but i feel like oos 3.5.6 camera is bit faster in processing hdr , hd

In miui 8 is not necessary flash this zip, because this rom is based h2o and the camera is better than 7.0 roms
So it is not the same camera V1.4.0 as it is in older versions?

The inbuilt camera gallery that comes when we swipe right to left after taking a pic doesnt come properly. What i mean is that it comes but you cant unzoon and view pics as in a filmstrip, see attached screenshot

Which camera works best in berkley roms ? My motive is to use to dual camera with wide aperture mode because currently the camera in Lineage 15.1 tops in the list of most worst cameras. I feel like clicking from a Rs. 5000 micromax phone. Dev confirmed he is not at all interested in improving camera on chat.
What can be done to get the best out of camera if we are on custom rom ? I cannot go on stock because I have not made backup and flashing that firmware from twrp backup makes imei null.
Please help me people in getting atleast an OK camera on Lineage.

I'm using this magisk module with stock emui cam.

Installed it with latest magisk but have 3 concerns :
1. Front Camera pictures are not getting saved to gallery.
2. Portrait mode has issues.
3. Magisk issue - Safetynet not passing.
I'm on Latest Lineage with latest official berkley twrp. Root works perfect. Installed the above zip but nothing happened. Then flashed the latest zip from official magisk xda thread and it got installed with root, but safetynet has issues. How to get the gallery and front camera working ? Do I need to remove the Camera provided with lineage for that ?

The Camera2api port for our device is buggy as hell not only that but the dual pixel technology libraries are f**** by OnePlus so to overcome that and get both portrait mode working and front camera hdr+
you must be rooted(or at least have a custom recovery)
for non root you can still use HDR+ only for the back camera with lots of dots!

Lib fix breaks any audio mod like v4a, ainur, Dolby...
If you have audio mods and lib fix installed, any audio mod will not work and camera will not work in any app including stock camera app
You have to choose between camera or audio

In my case, using the Lib Fix in the link, doesn't break the stock camera (didn't try any audio mod). But if I update the module from magisk (to the last version), that one is breaking the stock camera.

kernel is either enforcing or permissive
hence the name suggests
permissive 'permits' apps from overriding system policies
enforcing enforces system policies
so use permissive when you have an app that requires it only
It theoritically impacts security
specially if you don't know what apps to install or don't get them from a trusted source

Hi all. Firstly, this camera is great. Using it on lineage with microg and using your suggested settings and am having no problems.
The only issue I see is that in lower light I experience lag when in portrait mode. Anyone know a solution to this?

less light = slower shutter
it is slower to get a decent image quality
and I don't think it's that slow
anyway there is no fix to that at least without affecting image quality

because you are not rooted and did not install the fix
use Urnyx05 v6.2 and in fixes enable remove pink from all cameras

Hi Franco, don't know if it related to kernel, but I can't see YouTube videos, I can hear the audio but no video. I'm on r45 oos 5.0.8

Also I notice when I select first time video the screen is black with voice, when I rotate my phone and select a video from the bar on the bottom of the screen then I can see and hear the new video

Is there anyone with 3rd Party Display panels running the Pie version of this Franco kernel on a custom ROM and having no problem with Screen wake-up?
I haven't given a try by myself. Since I Have locked my bootloader. But wanted to know if the problem related to Screen-Wakeup has been solved or not.
(OOS version of this kernel doesn't had this problem earlier) (haven't tried latest version).

Since kernel update on r45 m wifi isn't working at all. R43 worked fine, r44 had some connection issue but they solved after some reflashes.
Now on r45 my wifi won't activate over the tiles and in the settings menu it won't scan for networks. Already cleared cache and dalvik, flashed ROM and kernel again but it won't help

Well when I return to stock kernel with my boot image I had the same problem. No wifi. So I reflash the rom again with clear cache and the magisk again and the problem solved. Today I flash the new edition o f the kernel r45 and works flawless!
