Cant find Netflix in PlayStore - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Well i had the firmware version DD from Peru (PET) with a working playstore (certified) and with netflix appearing in the search of playstore.
This morning i flashed G955FXXU1AQDG (PHN) including OXM CSC, after that my playtore showed that my device was not certified and netflix didnt appear in the search...
I have no idea whats happening, im not rooted or anything i have the exynos G955F version and everything happened cause i flashed PHN firmware, now i cant go back cause the latest version in my original firmware (PET), is DD so i cant downgrade.
And yes i cleared cache data in playtore, factory reset the device and reflashed the new firmware with the same results.
Pushed latest version of Playstore in apkmirror and still cant find netflix in the playstore, i had to download netflix from apkmirror too, theres no issue installing it but im wondering this isse is going to affect other apps or making more problems later.

You changed the device region that why Netflix is not showing in playstore.
Try to go to playstore then account/payment method/more payment settings/settings and change the country save it. Restart your phone and check again

did you check if its available in the Samsung app store?

In my playstore says my device is not certified....when i push the latest playstore version theres no option to see if my device is still not certified but i think thats the issue....i have no idea how to fix that

The main cause of Netflix disappearing from the playstore is changing the region or the device id make sure your device id*model is correct. That's what i know lets hope xda members find other solutions for you. Cheers

You CAN'T flash every firmware on your device!
You have to check what your CSC is!
Your device is from Peru (PET) which uses the Multi-CSC OWA
Now you have flashed the Multi-CSC OXM
THAT'S the reason you've problems with your device!

I was having issues with netflix as it was avaiable in playstore ,but the apk didnot work too.
At google play store about menu there was device not certified so i knew this was the main reason behind all this.
Fix:
1. Goto developers option and turn off OEM unlock .
2. Restart
3. Disable Google Playstore and return to stock app.
4. Clear cache and data
5. Enable it
6. Happy Streaming. ?

Note P905 cant update

Hello!
I just bought my new tablet and I wanted to make sure I have latest version for my device, but I got a message saying that my device has been modified, ok so then I installed kies and it told me I had the latest version avaliable, then I went into download mode and I saw system status:Custom, I tried to wipe both partitions but still the same problem.... I bought this tablet today feels very strange that my system is custom. On my note 3 it is says official
Are you using a MicroSD? If yes, take it out, then reboot and check again. It's a known bug.
Same on mine. No micro sd rebooted many times

If you rooted you've tripped the knox security sistem and samsung won't update a rooted device. At least that's what Ithink happened on my device...

Hello
I have the same problem. Is custom but Knox is 0x0. I try everything, including Odin, but NO result. In Odin don't start the process, in Kies it shows that is the last firmware, and OTA "the device is modified".
This is a common issue with the SM P905 variant, I had the same problem myself. The only way to sort it out is to send it to Samsung for repairs or take it in to a service centre. I'm pretty sure all they'll be doing is reflashing the firmware but you might not want to void the warranty by doing it yourself.

Wait simply for the update via KIES or OTA. It will be available soon or is still available for a lot of countries.
Status will pass from modified to Official.
check this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2710004
Hi,
You first have to check if this particular update (not the stability update BUT this "modified status bug" update is available for your country.
Check it here http://live.samsung-updates.com/inde...device=SM-P905

ROOT & Stock ROM for SM-J727S Galaxy J7 May 2017

Hi guys,
I was hoping someone could help me out. I have rooted before (long time ago) but I can't seem to find a lot of information on this specific phone (SM-J727S). I have been searching online (and across many dodgy looking websites, thanks No Script!) and this is about all that I have found:
The Galaxy J7 is also known as the Galaxy Wide 2 in South Korea
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=device&id=11601&c=samsung_sm-j727s_galaxy_wide_2
It was released on May 2017, runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) and uses the Exynos chipset
TWRP has a release for the J700 series but I'm not sure if it would work on the J727S
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxyj7exynos.html
The source code for the system has been released, but I couldn't find a stock ROM (which made me reluctant to try TWRP)
http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=j727s
This is the closest I got to a Stock ROM but I don't trust the site, is this site trustworthy? (again, I came across too many dodgy sites to just download anything)
https://stockromupdate.com/2017/07/26/stock-rom-sm-j727s-samsung-galaxy-wide-2/
The KingRoot method currently will not work and is asking me to wait for an update (phone is probably too new to root?)
The closest thing I can find on this forum are these posts (but none reference the J727S model)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/root-sm-j727p-galaxy-j7-perx-td-lte-t3611202
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/root-sm-j727p-galaxy-j7-perx-galaxy-j7-t3598117
So, I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance
I'd thought I'd mention that the bootloader is unlockable in this phone. I had read elsewhere that other people cannot access the 'OEM Unlock' option on their version of the J7. It isn't the case with this phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/galaxy-j7-pop-galaxy-halo-t3647805/page2
I also got a message from Google talking about my accounts being accessed by a 'J7 Pop'. I guess the Galaxy Wide 2 is also known as the J7 Pop?
So, I'm still on the track of rooting this device. I'm just gonna update any relevant stuff here.
The closest TWRP that I can find is for the 2016 version of this phone, it has the same Exynos chipset.
I'm thinking of trying this, but are there any problems with flashing the wrong version of TWRP? (Will I brick the phone? Or will it just error-out on recovery and boot normally?)
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxyj72016exynos.html
I also found (what I believe to be) the Stock ROM for this type of phone, you have to sign up to the site in order to download it. It is specific to SK Telecom (Korean telecommunications provider)
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/samsung-galaxy/SM-J727S/SKC/download/J727SKSU1AQD6/172065/
If someone can advise about going forward with the similar TWRP version I'd appreciate it. Cheers!
EDIT: Kinda answered my own question, from the TWRP download page https://dl.twrp.me/j7xelte/
Downloading an image for a different device, no matter how similar, usually does not work.

Any way to request an TWRP version?
I am Korean, and it's very hard It's angry me............................
XDDDD I'm from South Korea too and the J727S is customized with the Knox Enrollment Service that blocks the wifi and cellular data AND apk installization. (trying to uninstall it )
I found this: https://www.androidinfotech.com/2018/02/root-samsung-galaxy-wide-2-sm-j727s-nougat.html
anyone habe twrp for this model ????
Hi.. I've this model also.. tried to downgrade..but it can't..always failed
My friend was installing the twrp to root a J7 metal.
Now the cell phone does not restart, and I do not know what the **** it did KKkkkkkkkkkk
It wants to remove the twrp without formatting the device.
If installing the original rom by Odin using home_csc does it return to normal without formatting?
Restore

Galaxy s7 / sm-g9300 (open china) can't find any rom !!

Hi all,
I bought Galaxy S7 Snapdragon SM-G9300 model. But when i opened and setup the phone, i couldn't see APPS button and i can't make any firmware update in settings !!
I have 2 years warranty and i can't root the phone. So, is there any official way to make this phone a normal S7 !?
I need your advices. Thanks
You could try flashing firmware with Odin, it doesn't require root and won't affect warranty. http://updato.com has firmware files for various models and countries, as well as a flashing guide
You can root the phone and method is in a chinese website. I can show you because i`m chinese. And if you want to update you can use Odin to flash newest ROM.

Update issues after Downgrade

Hi all, I have downgraded my p40 pro to 131 to get google apps working. Then tried auto updates and it tells me that there is an update but same version 131, updated to 131 using auto update but it still keeps telling me that I'm on 131 and same version of update available. Connected to PC and use Hisuite and same story, tells me 131 update available (which I already have) and nothing else. Was able to update to 154 using proxy but now same story, it keeps telling me that 154 update available which I did auto update but I still get notification that I there is new update to 154. I cleared data and cache both for Huawei Core and Update app but still same story.
Please help!?!
You will need to use Hisuit Proxi & firmware finder to get more upto date firmware.

thanks, another question is, will it wipe off the phone?
When I did mine, No. But remove or backup any personal stuff off your memory card if you have one, just in case. Note if you've done the GMS install, make sure you log into All you're accounts, ie YouTube etc first before upgrading firmware. Cause you won't be able to add later.

Update: Ok found it, it is via the advance button and paste the link there to check if it's approved or not.
Is this done via the HiSuit Proxy Advance button? how can i check if it's approved or not?
Use firmware finder to check it's an approved version.

Hmmm we are all on C636. No idea what went wrong. Only difference is 4RP1 and 5RP1. Any difference in those?
Same situation here, I downgrade to version 131 o install GSM and now the phone won't update.
I had to update it using HiSuite and now I'm on 183 version.
Hope there is a way to fix the OTA updates on the phone.
getting regular updates after installing GMS via googlefier
Doing some research I have found what is happening:
On your P40 Pro, in the "About phone" screen you can see the build number and then a number between ( ), example: Build number 10.1.0.131 (C636E8R5P1)
The number after the C will tell you the version or region of your firmware, in the example C636 = version/region 636
When you downgrade using a different version/region you will loose the OTA updates on the phone, and this will only be restored after you install your correct version/region firmware.
You will need to find the correct version of your firmware and have the "dload" version, and install it from external card. There is a video showing how to do this, but the link on the video is for a version/region 636, if you have a different version/region it won't fix anything.
Once you have the correct firmware and install it, you will begin receiving OTA again. This process, at least on my phone, erased everything, so be aware of this.

Question October update India CSC, not certified from Google?

A strange thing happened to me:
I received an automatic update yesterday. Everything went normally, everything worked normally.
Later in the store I saw that Google Pay does not allow payment because firmware is Root (it is not) or illegal firmware is installed. And Google Play has shown that the device is not certified.
I tried resetting to factory settings ... without success.
It wasn’t until I installed the older August firmware via Odin that the phone became “legal” again.
This is the firmware INS 20211030.
Has anyone else had such problems?
Edit: it was October Update

As you said this is strange, I did not receive any updates in November. All I got was the October 2021 security patch update.
