FRD-L09C432 pre-rooted boot - Honor 8 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Develop

FRD-L09C432 pre-root booted (superuser-r310)
1. Unlock booloader
2. Flash boot.img via fastboot
3. Install phh.superuser https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.phh.superuser
B381 Boot.img http://www.datafilehost.com/d/3204ea04
B389 Boot.img http://www.datafilehost.com/d/079e483c
B392SP01 Boot.img http://www.datafilehost.com/d/874fb9b1
Ps: i will keep update rooted boot when a new version is released, but only for L09C432.

So if I want to flash that, I have to be already on B381?

There's no need for this, as we can already root B381 through recovery using SuperSU or PHH. Also, when you flash an SU zip you can also flash the unSU zip to recover from bootloops where as flashing a boot.img has no fallback

Just flash the newest OTA in your custom recovery.
It will overwrite your recovery with stock recovery however.

already tried.
It asks me if i wanna install an untrusted zip file.
I say yes
and it says unable to verify.

If you're on a custom recovery + root, then I'm assuming you're no stranger to adb and fastboot commands. You can download the full update (not incremental) from here , unzip, and use the flash-all.sh (or .bat if you're in windows) to flash the full update. You can then flash your custom recovery and superSU after it. You'll probably want to backup your stuff before you do this!
If you're on custom recovery + root because your friend did it for you, go ask your friend! =P

P9 updates - please post new versions here

EVA-L09C432B135 (update from EVA-L09C432B130):
download: EVA-L09C432B135 - 370MB
source: http://www.huaweiblog.de/software/android/marshmallow/huawei-p9-firmware-update-ota-b135/
___________________________________________________________
EVA-L09C432B136 (update from EVA-L09C432B135):
download: EVA-L09C432B136 - 117MB
source: http://android.gl/huawei-p9-l09-b136-android-6-0-ota-download.html
edit: it looks like this update is for EVA-C900B135 because in the updater script there is the following content:
Code:
ui_print("EVA-C900B135");
ui_print("Thu Apr 14 06:56:40 CST 2016");
ui_print("EVA-C900B136");
ui_print("Sun Apr 24 08:26:31 CST 2016");
maybe this is the reason why my EVA-L09C432B135 did not accept this update.
before applying the EVA-L09C432B135 manual local update my phone was on EVA-L09C900B130. i hope i did not mess my cust up and there will be a working update in the near future

tried different ways to update from B135 to B136 without success.
anyone got the update working? restored to stock B135 recovery and restored a untouched B135 system via twrp, nothing is working.
How to install this update ?
I'm on EVA-L09C109B120 and i can't install zip in TWRP, it' error 7
don`t flash in TWRP! you will maybe brick your phone.
you have to unroot in supersu and flash stock recovery before you do the update!
Even if you're using a 900 wouldn't it be possible to roll back with a full ROM later ?

So if I have bootloader unlocked, root and twrp installed what do I need to do to update? Unroot and flash custom recovery? And then OTA should work? Or do I need to flash the update manually somehow?

from what it looks like, you need to unroot and ensure you are on stock recovery, probably then the OTA can go thru.

Is stock recovery included in the flashable ZIP so I have to delete it or no stock recovery included so I can flash straight? Thank you very much!
I don't know why for only a security patch, they make a whole new 2GB file. Why not making it like windows? that we can download only the patch file, and install.
A question: Can we root it? Because usually it has stock recovery, and we can't install TWRP and magisk through stock recovery. I tried it a lot with 20N and couldn't.

No, there is no stock recovery included in the ZIP archives. If you have TWRP installed you can just flash the "COMPLETE" ZIP. If you flash the kdz you will get the stock recovery.
To gain root just flash SuperSU after flashing the ZIP before reboot.
Hey @DavidFlint
Thank you for the port. I'm currently downloading it.
I was wondering.. do you mind creating a step-by-step how-to guide for anyone willing to make a flashable zip from KDZ like yours?
It'll be very useful and it'll be really appreciated by the community.
In the future you might not have time to do it etc etc so someone else can work on it.
Thanks for considering it
Thank you very much for this!
I was looking around in TWRP Recovery file manager what apk it was that was blocking me from using the phone after unlocking bootloader but I gave up when I found this.
Just out of curiosity, is it just an app or is it more that blocks after unlock + factory reset?
Has anybody rooted with magisk? Will I get stock recovery when I flash the "complete" zip with TWRP? I come from fulmics ROM. Thanks in advance.

I hope you will do this again for future updates?
So based on research it seems I need to install the latest bootloader and modem on my phone to resolve a slow charging issue on resurrection remix 5.8.5.
Is it as simple as just flashing from within the latest TWRP or is this going to cause me to have to re-flash the OS, etc or unlock the bootloader again?

If you want to keep twrp with the complete zip you have to install supersu/magisk or no-verity-opt-encrypt. Use this https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/stock-h850-20d-eu-rom-flashable-zips-t3592762 as a guide.

Is normal: 2 popup with errors (one is about NTCODE, isn't it?):it's because the nationality of your phone is not the same (actually I don't know if it happens only when you make a "dirty update" from a firmware that is from your region, someone reported that using KDZ to flash first in "refurbished, than in "upgrade" will solve the problem), you have 2 solutions:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/cust-error-solution-t3507311 or the easyest one: make a backup of the CUST folder and delete what's inside!

Rolback to original OxygenOS kernel

Hello guys,
I've installed the BluSpark kernel but I'd like to roolback to the original one.
Does anyone here know how ?
Thanks !
Just flash the stock OOS boot img. That will also remove twrp and root, so you'll need to reflash both.

If you make a backup of the boot partition, TWRP will create a file called boot.emmc.win that is nothing different than a boot.img file. You can then pass it to Magisk to patch it.

This worked for me but just boot it without flashing by using "fastboot boot boot.img", that way if it fails your boot partition is still in tact. Once booted you can use Magisk direct install to patch your c.36 boot.
