Phone is stuck at boot logo without TWRP. - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

I successfully rolled back to MM from Nougat, but the problem is that I have the wrong model number. I was trying to reflash the rollback because my phone says it's model number is FRD-L04, and I want to flash the full firmware of MM for FRD-L14. But after dload flashing the rollback file, the phone stuck at boot logo. How do I turn my device off?. I copied the full MM firmware for L14 in the dload folder in SD card, but holding power+volume down+volume up is not doing anything. I've tried different button combos but it just restarts the phone and back to stuck logo.
EDIT: Now the battery is drained. When I plug it with charger it automatically boots up and stuck with logo. Been charging it overnight but it still shows the red indicator light. I think it stopped charging. When I try to boot to eRecovery it wont allow me to, it shows the red thunder icon which indicates low battery.
EDIT2: SOLVED! Thanks to this thread.
And, also, thanks to Rommco05 for helping me fix my phone.
Here are the steps:
1. Flash TWRP in fastboot. Make sure to use the TWRP from here.
2. Install CM13 via TWRP. Installing CM13 allows you to wipe Data partition later.
3. Reboot into TWRP and wipe Data partition.
4. Create a folder with a name dload in root of SDcard.
5. Download Full Firmware of Marshmallow. Copy the update.app from the zip file into the dload folder.
6. Turn off the phone. Then hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Button. Let go of the buttons once you see the Honor logo. This will flash the Marshmallow Firmware.
7. That's it!

No, it boot looped after dload flash of rollback file. I was in Marshmallow when I flashed the rollback. I think, that was the issue

PC recognized phone, when stuck on Honor logo?
If yes try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/tool-huawei-multi-tool-team-mt-t3523923 and number 6 maybe can help and reinstall drivers (this is maybe optional)
I think you need download HuaweiExtractor and full fw MM for FRD-L14 and flash new stock recovery.img , boot.img...
edit: I'm not sure it will help this but I think is good way.

I'm using the Multi-Tool right now and select the Unbrick option.
It says: To restore the device, you need 5 images (BOOT.img, CUST.img, RECOVERY.img, SYSTEM.img, USERDATA.img)
Where can I get these files?

From Update.app file using the HuaweiFirmwareExtractor, which as far as I remember is in the Multi tool package. By the way to turn off a phone hanging in boot try holding volume up + power or volume down + power and you should enter Recovery or eRecovery where you have an option to turn off the device.

Make sure that your phone is not plugged to anything and that when you use the key combo, you let go off the power key but keep the volume button in when you feel the vibration.

Someone said that the rollback for L04 can also be used for the L14. Just flash the full firmware for the L14 afterward.

[Q] Honor 6 L02 stuck on WoPhone Logo (boot logo)

So, I got a honor 6 H60-L02 which wont (by any mean) normally boot. I tried Flashing required files (Cust, Recovery,System,Userdata, boot, Chache) via fastboot,
but it didn't work. I also tried the Mini Tool and followed the Unbrick option and I came up with nothing
The issue is that the (3 Buttons method) didn't work for me and I can't even get the phone to work in Recovery mode so that at least I can try wiping the system.
At the end of each attempt I'm stuck with WoPhone logo and that's it!!!
As a final attempt, I tried to flash numerous custom recovery images, but still, the phone wont enter the Recovery mode.
The phone was rooted and Miui rom was installed on it ( Recovery issue started then, the phone won't enter Recovery mode after installing Miui Rom)
Any suggestions before I start playing tennis with it?

Its a possibility ... Yet, the multi tool doesn't do anything special but to auto-flash certain files which you can flash manually. I was hoping to find a tool that formats partitions before flashing them.

Honor 6 blocked on Logo
I have H60-L02 bloked on logo,i tried to install the original firmware using adb shell and dd. Unluckily the phone doesn't boot normally after the reboot.
Pressing the power button for a while lets the phone vibrate ones and appear logo but nothing else happens.
Pressing 3 buttons lets the phone come up with the honor-logo, but nothing more.
Pressing power + vol- and connected usb cable lets the phone come up with fastboot.
When the phone is in fastboot mode my computer recognizes it as "Android Phone - Android Sooner Single ADB Interface", but ADB doesn't show any devices. Fastboot works fine and is Unlocked.
Hisuite doesn`t recognize device...search drivers but nothing happens.
Unbricking the phone using fastboot (flash boot, cust, recovery and system) doesn't change anything.
Flashing the stock recovery, using a sd-card with dload folder and firmware and booting the phone with any button combination doesn't change anything (no installer, no recovery).
Flashing CWM and booting the phone with any button combination doesn't change anything (no recovery).
ADB doesn't show a device at any other point of booting
Any solution ?

[Q] Help! Can not boot

Hello,
I have big problem. I tried to upgrade to lollipop version, used it for one hour and then decided to get back to kitkat. For the procedure I used some tool from killerdogKD which name is MT7-L09 Unbrick (it is a fastboot). The procedure went, phone rebooted and got stuck in boot loop (only logo is showed for few seconds). Now I can only get in fastboot and rescue mode. I've tried to flash stock rom, but without success. Any suggestions? PS. Yes, I now I am jackass and sorry for my bad English:angel:
Stock recovery installed (extracted from official KK ROM)??? 3 button procedure already tried?
Will not work. Are there no going back. He can recover only 5.1.
For the people hanging in Bootllop because they have the 4.4.X Recovery flashed.
Load zip, go to the boot loader and the two flash imgs.
command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
If both of the 5.1.
https://mega.co.nz/#!DNw13JhK!7ATC9p...G50saLGZG3vKzM
KK is not possible 5.1, just with dload the flash 5.1 again. Is indeed just about the one that has 5.1 Recovery again.
Here read next time.

I have the same problem and probably caused by same thing. But I can' even enter bootloader. When phone was bootlooping, I turned it off. Then I tried to get into recovery (by holding power + volume down), but phone always shut down after Huawei logo appears (shut down with short vibration).
It does not matter when I release the buttons, I also tried the recovery (vol up + power) or the force update mode (vol up + vol down + power).
Is there any solution to this? I really hope so...
Look at my post and Liks.
Thank you Fooox1 for trying to help, but the problem is, that I can't even enter the bootloader (and your steps require that). I think that international Mate7 have different key combination for entering bootloader? Check also this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/help/fastboot-mode-t3086531
It is true that even before I was not able to get into bootloader with vol down + power, so maybe there is just different key combination or it is not possible at all...
I think I will try to write to Huawei support.
In the bootloader you come when the power is off and you Vol - holding down, then to the PC. To turn it off properly you must Vol - and Power button until it vibrates.
Key combination is the same for all.
I know, that is what I am doing it. And I already did it with many other phones successfully, so its not like this is my first time.
I am holding down power + vol down
Phone vibrates, I am still holding both buttons
Huawei logo appears, I am releasing power button, but still holding vol down button
Phone vibrates and turn off
I also tried to release power button when phone vibrates, or not release both buttons at all or I don't know what else. Tried 100x times.
I will try to contact Huawei, maybe it is known issue. It should really be same key combinations for all devices.
Thank you.
The Mate mus but this depend on the USB, otherwise it does not come into the bootloader.
Whoa! I did it. Yes, it was connected in USB, but in quickcharge USB. I tried different one and I am in!
For some reason, it did not like the quickcharge USB port, strange.
@Fooox1: but thank you, with your last comment I got the idea to try different USB
Well, I am little bit furhter, but still not working unfortunately. I got into bootloader, I flashed the boot and recovery. Then I was trying to three buttons force update and it is still failing.
I have Update.zip in dload folder on sd card, but update is failing immediatelly...
So now, I started the three buttons update while connected to computer via USB and it is actually doing something. But it is too soon to say if it helped (43%).
can't boot too

Same here! Help!
must we send in warranty?
So it seems to me, that problem is Huawei. Once, they are using Update.APP and later Update.ZIP, not sure why.
- recovery from 5.1 is working, but it is expectin Update.APP, but 5.1 update is in Update.ZIP, so it fails immediately (with error Update.APP not found). Yes, when you connect to phone to computer, it seems that it is doing something and it will get to 90%. But it is actually doing nothing, you can even pull out the sd card and it is the same. I think it is waiting for some action from computer, but not sure which (I also tried to install HiSuite and do something with it, but no success).
- recovery from update B137 will accept Update.ZIP, but when you try to flash it you won't be able to get in it, it is not working (I also tried B127).
So now, we either need recovery, which will work on 5.1 and will accept Update.ZIP or we need update packed as Update.APP (and yes, I tried to rename it etc.). So actually, our phones are pretty ok, we can get in recovery etc., but Huawei is messing with this different formats for some reason
@Fooox1: Do you have any ideas? Maybe you have another bootloader / recovery image? How did you got the 5.1? Thank you...
Edit: maybe the problem is, that we are trying to run the update OTA (Update.ZIP) instead of full rom (Update.APP)? Is this how it is divided, Update.ZIP is just incremental update, while Update.APP is full rom? If that is the case, we will need the full rom, maybe Huawei can release it?
I have not the problem, but users in our forum. I have the boat and recovery.img from the update unzip, a user has then flashed via fastboot and sin device was running again. For him only recovery was gone after he has the Kang Recovery flashed. The Update.zip he did not need to flash.
Other users have only the boot and recovery.img flashed and then the not unpacked update.zip in a folder (dload) on the SD and these then flashed three fingers method. What also has to work.
Here is still the boat and recovery.img of 5.1.
https://mega.co.nz/#!DNw13JhK!7ATC9pAUID0VyX5N3pQwQLbb_VyuOG50saLGZG3vKzM
And update.zip
https://mega.co.nz/#!vdYlxQIA!P34e3RI-hQT1ZY2WnfOosGmkq2wlr6NViq6ehQuWN5k
I think it may help if somebody will create *.img files from Lollipop, then we might be able to flash it via fastboot (the same as it is in this MT7-L09 Unbrick). I think we will need:
boot.img - ok
cache.img
cust.img
recovery.img - ok
system.img
userdata.img
Can make you yourself. Unzip, when present therein Update.app the extension .app in change .zip and unpack. Now you have another Update.app, this you can unpack the Huaweiextraktor, you've got your files. However, it does not contain all IMGs.
You could try but the resulting Update.app to pack in the dload folder and flash. If so, then the original and encrypted.
Hallo again,
i just called the Huawei Service Center in Germany. They openend up a Ticket for me. They told me to make a factory reset and after that the Phone should boot normaly. I did that, but still the same is happening. The shows the Huawei Ascend Logo 2 times and after that i am in recovery mode again.
The only thing i can do next, is to send the phone to the Huawei Service Center and hopefully i will get it back in 7 Days.

ure going about this all wrong mate
as already explained in the other thread, u cant enter twrp that way. if u press power up in the start screen ull always end up in the erecovery, no matter which regular recovery u have flashed.
easiest way to enter regular recovery is to install flashify from the playstore and choose to reboot phone into recovery

When the phone is off, hold on the volume + & power button at the same time. When the screen flashes on, quickly remove your fingers from the said key presses and it should boot into twrp. If you hold them too long it will boot into erecovery. If you want to reboot into twrp recovery when the phone is already on, then you will have to get an app like quick reboot or flash a Rom which has that option.

This.
Power plus volume down does nothing, TWRP-wise. However that is whta's being said to press in 99% of the threads/tutorials.
Took me HOURS and countless re-flashing of TWRP to figure this out myself. (the up *plus* down thingy). Really annoying.

Well, I have a question. What is the eRecovery, because I've seen this screen also and I dont know what it does. Also, there are three options in it: download latest version and recovery, reboot and shutdown. So if I press download latest version and recovery what will happen? Because I'm actually looking for a way to get off TWRP without having to lose any data (I want to install the latest OTA, but I've seen that TWRP doesn't support well those, and I don't want to mess up my phone)...
Please help!
easy: download a stock rom identical to your current version, extract recovery partition using the huawei app extractor from the rom's update.app file and then flash that through fastboot
and since u probably have no idea what im talking about, i suggest u use google and xda search functions before asking any further questions here dont be lazy and expect everyone to work for you and serve everything on a silver platter, do your due diligence!

And just for the complete list:
Volume up + power AND USB plugged in goes into eRecovery (or TWRP, if you flashed TWRP to RECOVERY2 instead to RECOVERY)
Volume up and down + power and USB plugged in forces update via USB (indicated by a little USB-like icon in the recovery circle. The progess bar goes to 5% and waits for input from your PC)
True, when usb is attached

question about particular stock firmware ?

so i went to this website:
https://romfirmware.com/2017/07/28/huawei-honor-6x-bln-l24/
and it has some different firmware things for the honor 6x BLN L24 model.. and one of them is a point version variant that says can be flashed through twrp?
will this work should i trust this?
edit// on the site it says the version for it is BLN-L24C567B360 however mine is BLN-L24C567B366 (5.0.1 EMUI..i think B360 is EMUI 5.0?)

also i got two files.. recovery.img and recovery2.img... which do i use ?
okay so i read on a thread for the honor 7 having two recovery images... one being the stupid erecovery crap and the other being normal recovery menu? and i guess im able to get both regular and twrp running together on two different partitions somehow?

You can not have two recovery on your phone. For you, only recovery.img is important. Why do you need to replace twrp for stock recovery?

i ****ed up my phone... the good backups i had with twrp got ****ed up and are some messed up rooted version running a stock rom where the sound doesnt work at all, speakers headphone, blue tooth calls, apps, etc and camera doesnt work (front and back and camera app doesnt run) and i cant watch any videos on any app.. so i was going to restore the stock firmware
i still use adb reboot recovery to boot into the regular recovery menu ? (not erecov)
alright.. im stuck again.. i rebooted to recovery and it gave me 3 options. reboot, wipe data/factory reset, and wipe cache partition... what do i do to install the firmware??
see its almsot 4 am for me right now.. if you could just talk me through this i would be okay..
never mindd i looked at your previous reply
and i believe its stuck at 5%
alright well it just rebooted and it didnt restore the stock firmware..i still have all my apps and **** and nothing has changed
do i have to factory reset it now? or..

nothings working still . camera, sound videos, etc.. still broken.. phone still rooted.. i followed this other ugie i saw on here where you wipe all partitions and things and then do the file from dload and things, and it still stuck at 5%?
heres another question.. when i went through the firmware finder i got 3 files.. update.zip, update_data_full_public.zip, and update_full_BLN-L24_hw_usa.zip they all contain a update.app file... am i using the right one? im using the one from update.zip
now it appears to be stuck at the boot animation screen.. fml
//edt: standby... i actually havent finished the guide..
yup.. i dun ****ed up.... i cant use adb to reboot to recovery.. say null device not found..
i can go into fastboot by doing power and vol down... if i do vol up and power to try to get into recovery/twrp/whatever, it does nothing and does the normal booting process.. holding all three down just does the automatic sd card install thing that doesnt work... what do i do? i think i ****ed it up
well as far as i can tell my phone is bricked cant boot into recovery via key presses or adb.. i get device not found on adb..
fastboot works and i can flash still but i cant get into twrp or anythin i dont know why..
if i let it boot it just stays at the bootloading animation..
am i able to do factory reset from fastboot?
//edit: i did fastboot erase userdata accoring to some websites online.. no success in booting... is there anything i can do at this point?

Disconnect the phone from the usb and switch off. Turn on and hold the power button + vol up when you see the Honor logo release power button but still hold the vol. Now you should be in recovery, perform factory reset

Bootloop followed by blue screen with android and: Erasing...

Hello everyone,
I have problem with my s7, after trying to flash stock several times using odin, I am always getting s7 logo, and than blue screen with Erasing... , than it would restart with same pattern two or tree times and than shut down. I can only go in download mode, cant boot into recovery.
My phone is SM-G930F. I am pretty sure that I downloaded correct firmware. Maybe I did mess up something, any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Firmware is United Kingdom BTU. Download latest version flash then just wait for it to boot. The blue screen with erase is normal, leave it do it, eventually it will reboot into start.

Yes and I'm saying it's a normal process just after flashing. If the flashing was done correctly then it will reboot after the blue screen.
What firmware was on the phone originally? And what country are you? Where are you getting the firmware from?

Does Odin give you a "pass" after flash?
What version of Odin?
Are you following flash steps in correct order?

It does give me: "PASS". 3.13.3 (tried 3.13.1 also). As far as I know there are only few steps, download, unpack zip, choose in odin for bl, bl file, for ap, ap file and same for cp and csc and than flash. Am I right or am I missing something?

Do you also get an .md5 file from Sammobile when unzipped?
Leave phone connected to pc after "pass" until it's finished rebooting and blue screen etc.
When the phone shuts down you can then boot into recovery by volume up+home+power?
Sometime you have to force it into recovery and wipe/factory reset if it just

Flash again using CSC not Home_CSC
Also you must be able to boot into recovery, even from the download screen.
when the phone is off, you press volume up+home+power and the phone does what?

This is correct but you keep all buttons pressed until the Recovery menu appears.
If you flash the correct firmware with Odin and it gives you a "Pass" then the recovery menu is there on the phone. It can sometimes be tricky to get into if your phone goes into a boot loop but the menu is definitely there.
You can try just volume up+power but the normal way to access is volume up+home+power and keep them pressed until menu appears. Also the phone HAS to be off before you do this.

I am not sure why it is not opening recovery menu, but it seems like its trying to boot into it (phone screen changes to black for a second and than goes to blue screen again).
