Android 7 Nougat Stock Firmware for Moto G4 Play (XT1602) - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Some time ago I've unlocked my bootloader, installed LineageOS and discovered many things don't work as expected. Then I reverted to the 6.0 Stock Image I found on Mobile Fimware Center.
Unfortunately that caused my phone not to update to Android 7.0 Nougat. After the preprocessing of the installation the installation stopped with an error shortly after the bootloader started.
So I need two stock-images: the 7.0-image for my XT1602-model to update to Nougat manually and the old 6.0-image to revert back to 6.0 if the update doesn't work; the latter image isn't on Mobile Firmware Center any more.
Thanks in advance,
Oliver

Honor 8 Bluetooth Problem after upgrading EMUI 5

Hello there,
Last week I received via OTA the latest version of EMUI. Build: `NRD91M test-keys`. I thought the update was succesfull as it hadn't show any errors but today I see that bluetooth is not working. I made a restore defaults and it continues without working. Anyone here had the same problem?
Hi
I have the Same issue. Did you found any solution?
I was also unable to put the hihonor rollback nor firmware on it - Installation stuck at 5%.
mine was rooted before OTA upgrade... maybe the root issue?
FRD-L09 with NRD90M test-keys
Thanks for help or hints
same problem seems that it's happen to all people that unlocked there bootloader and rooted there devices if anyone have solution please tell
yay - after few weeks with a bricked phone I was finnaly able to fix it:
- installed rollback "FRD-L19&L09, from Android 7.0, EMUI 5.0 to Android 6.0 EMUI 4.1, C900B300" from hihonor.com
- installed "FRD-L09, Android 6.0, EMUI 4.1, C432B131" from hihonor.com
- normal over the air update to 7.0 back again - Done.
I'm not sure if they had changed those update.app files or my SD-card (fancy 10class 32GB - stucket at 5%) - this time I used an older 8GB sdcard which works like a charm...
greetings

G8142 - Oreo Firmware

Hello to all.
I need to ask here because Sony Forums sucks, so here the people has more knowledge
My phone is:
- G8142
- Unlocked Bootloader
- Android Nougat 7.1.1 installed from Sony Flashtool CE1 Firmware .137
- Kernel and drm patch from Xperifix
- Magisk 16.0
I installed (weeks ago) Android Oreo firmware Generic Lam, CE1 .75 till .145 (this last one not trying with CE1 firmware) downloaded from xperifirm and flash with newflasher v10 and v11, but somehow after flashing firmware, kernel (androplus) TWRP, DRM Patch, magisk, etc is working fine until a few hours (between 6 - 12 hours since boot and connected to network) wifi dropping can't reconnect, data is dead, voice call is dead too is very annoying because i have to restart de phone, tested with all oreo stock firmware to the latest even with locked bootloader had same problems (.75), i thought that unlocking BL was the problem or magisk but for some reason in Nougat i don't have any problems, none, zero. Some people in sony forums have problems with wifi, others with data, other with both, so my question, what would be the problem?
Greeting and Cheers.
You say your phone is Nougat in the bullet points, then say you've installed Oreo in the next paragraph. Which are you on right now?
You also said you're rooted with the DRM patch, then installed Oreo 'generic' firmware. I'd imagine if you are trying to install the stock Oreo firmware from Sony over a rooted and patched Nougat base, that may be causing you the problems if it installs at all.
More complete information might help others give you some advice.

Hi, actually use nougat 7.1.1, but few weeks ago I flashed Sony firmware oreo (with newflasher) since. 75 to. 145 from scratch (no ota) to test adding DRM patch and magisk but all Oreo firmware failed in WiFi, data, voice, so, how Oreo is not for me right now I decide to flash nougat, that's how my question was born, why with Oreo firmware I'm having those problems?

That's my point. If you were already rooted and patched and you tried installing the stock firmware from Sony, that's going to cause you potential problems. Why don't you try flashing the Turbo or Carbon ROMs if you want to try Oreo and keep root?

Updating from MM with root+xposed to N with root+xposed without data loss

Hey everyone.
I've stayed on Marshmallow since I got this phone, but now that Oreo has started rolling out on various devices, and Xposed is available for Nougat (I can't live without MinMinGuard anymore), I figured it's time for an upgrade to (stock) Nougat. I'm currently on EMUI 4.1, Android 6.0, version FRD-L09C432B131. Can I update to B403 without losing my data and access to root and Xposed? B403 is the highest version approved for installation for my device that I found through the Firmware Finder for Huawei app.
Googling on this issue hasn't left me much wiser; Can I just flash my stock recovery and boot partitions to enable the upgrade process, download and update through the firmware finder app, reflash newest twrp and then reflash supersu and xposed from twrp once on 7.0, all without losing my apps and data? I've used this phone as my daily driver for nearly two years, and I would like to avoid having to set it up from scratch as much as possible, as that's a pain-in-the-ass process that'll take me ages.
Anyone have any experience doing this? Any input is appreciated!

You have root you will loose that , you need to flash it stock b131 as you have and go to hisuit i download the next version , after once updated go firmware finder and update new one update like c432b380 and next update is 382 you download it with FF and update and second is 391 you download id with FF and keep doing that until you reach the b403 i did that on my c432.

No updates?

Hi, about a year ago i tested some custom rom's, but i had some problem with them so i came back to Stock ROM, stock bootloader, locked the bootloader. Im using it from then, and it runs fine, im happy with it. But my problem is that my security updates are from: 1st September 2017, my EMUI is: 5.0.1 and Android 7.0 - NXT-L29C432B582. HiSuite tells me that my system is up-to-date same as i click to check for updates in phone settings. Is that normal, or i am not getting the updates for some reason? If so how can i restore them?

Question Weird problem on my OnePlus 9: my screen doesn't respond anymore after updating

XDA, we've had a problem here.
Hello everyone!
I'm throwing a bottle into the sea because I don't feel that other people have had the same problem.
I've been on the latest version of Lineage OS 18.1 until now. Having seen the latest version released (20.0) I tried to update my smartphone but the screen became unresponsive (plus there was no network: I'm in France #andr01dfr3ak).
So I used Scrcpy and I could use the phone "normally". I decided to redo a fresh installation from OOS (I had to downgrade) and install the latest version of Lineage OS 19.1 (and wait for the 20.0 to be stable).
So I used MSM and installed an Indian version of OOS on my phone. My screen was responding again. Wanting to put the latest version of OOS in order to reinstall Lineage OS, I have updated OOS via OTA and I had the same problem as before: the screen does not respond anymore but now without any possibility to activate anything in the developer options.
Thus, in summary: I'm currently stuck with (the last?) OOS because the screen that doesn't respond anymore (but it's on and all the buttons work) and I have no possibility to activate anything in the developer options (so no USB debugging etc.).
What do you think I should do?
When you flashed the wrong firmware and wonder why the display doesn't work. The firmware you flashed thinks your phone is the India 9r version and all updates will only give you india stuff now. You must flash EU version of firmware. Link https://github.com/libxzr/FastbootEnhance
