Hello there, i just purchased a second hand At & t network unlocked galaxy s6 and want to root and install custom rom like noble rom etc in it because i am tired of At & t bloatware. so i want to know that how i can install it? is there any issues of bootloader locked etc? currently i am on lollipop 5.1.1 and software is up to date.... in odin menu it says
system status: custom
Reactivation lock: Off
knox warranty: 0 (0*0000)
I want a summarized instructions which i couldn't find anywhere else... so posted here.. urgent help is much appreciated
AFAIK, the AT&T variant (920A) has a locked bootloader and therefore you cannot install a custom recovery image (like TWRP) to traditionally install custom ROMs. You may be able to install a ROM via Flashfire once you root via Pingpong, as folks in the Xstre ROM thread have reported they could indeed install that ROM (provided you're already on MM and have the MM bootloader/radio on the phone). I actually just returned a 920A for a 920I for this exact reason.
You may also find success in the "Samsung Debloater" tool, search for that - I used this on an AT&T Note 4 about a year ago and it worked well to disable the carrier bloat.

S8 G955FD won't boot past the Samsung logo.

Hello, how are you? My S8+ G955FD won't boot past the SAMSUNG logo. I am able to access the menu with the Power+Bixby+Vol+, but I don't know which option to use. I selected all of them twice.
The phone is not rooted and the bootloader has never been changed from it's original configuration. While trying to find a solution the question regarding the bootloader was sometimes asked. I don't know if it's locked or not, just that it has never been changed. The current and original OS is a carrier unlocked version. I have never enabled developer settings.
I know this question has been asked before, but I was just too overwhelmed by the number of results and couldn't find the guide for the S8+. I definitely found guides for other models and other brands of phones. I just need a working phone, it doesn't matter if it has root permissions or if the OS is version 1. I can forego the data, and will be happy with any kind of OS. The non-carrier specific would be best, my provider is Docomo. Please, how can I get my phone to boot properly again?
In an attempt to fix this I read through a some guides to flash the OS, most of them require that developer settings and usb debugging be enabled and I have never done that, nor do I know how to enable those without accessing the settings since the phone won't boot. So I didn't do anything beyond reading the directions and I feel stuck. What information can I provide that will help you walk me through to the solution? Thank you and may you have a wonderful day!

Ease of unlocking Note 3?

I have a few unlocked / rooted devices around the house, I've flashed ROMs, Magisk, GApps, etc, on them, but I've never actually unlocked bootloaders or messed around with Odin myself - I purchased them already unlocked.
I'm looking to purchase a few cheap wi-fi devices (no network capability needed) for my kids to use around the house and on trips, and I wanted to inquire if people here still consider the Note 3 (specifically, the N9005) an easy device for a novice like me to be able to unlock? The instructions on TWRP and Lineage's websites seem pretty straightforward, I just wanted to know if there were any known modern-day pitfalls I should be aware of before I buy a couple of these. It looks like I can get them new for around $100 apiece on Ebay.
Here are the directions I was looking at on TWRP. I found the thread on this forum for updating the bootloader and CM, but the links were both dead, so I guess I was hoping that was no longer a necessary step. Updating the bootloader and CM are not referencedon the TWRP page - if I want to install an Oreo ROM like Lineage, will I need to update the BL / CM?

Stuck at bootloop

What should i do
You'll have much better luck if you include relevant details - device model, Android version, firmware you're using, and what you were trying to do when you encountered the issue.
You can use the Manufacturers link at the top of the page to find the OEM for your device; you should then be able to find the subforum for your specific device model. It helps to ask relevant questions where everyone else is talking about the same thing.
Samsung j5 prime Android 8 after installing twrp recovery when i rebooted my device it stuck at bootloop.
My device is not.
Should i install custom recovery??
TWRP is a Custom Recovery.

Kind of in a here, device is not OEM unlocked but has a custom ROM

So as my title description states I haven't been able to boot it, I managed to use Odin to flash new recovery, but I get a red error saying the device can't boot due to FRAT.
I need this phone as mine is still in the shop, I would prefer to save any data on this phone that's great but I really just need a working phone.
I assume I would flash the stock rom, but I can't find a copy of anywhere. It's for a 930W8 (canadian) model.
Can anyone offer advice or a way around this?
