Hi there,
I find the battery life estimation present in the battery menu, quite weird. Indeed when I first got my phone (used), I installed it from scratch and each time I unplugged it from the charger, it always
showed be 45h+ estimated battery life and 200+ in Ultra mode.
Now, it barely indicates 25h, even if I often hit 2 days+ with 5H SOT (even if for the last day I only got 1,5 day with 4 SOT).
Did you notice the same behavior ?

Thanks for your answer. I figured that out, but in my view it does not really reflect reality. Since it always displayed 25 hours and it can sustain up to 2 days.

So, after a first full charge last night, I am still at 85%. Quite good if you ask me.
It's been off the charger for about 12 hours, and saw light usage today. Screen brightness is about 35%, which used 38% of the power.
Most of the time I had the screen off. I made a couple calls and texts, and did a bit of browsing, using the phone less than an hour in total.
Coming from the G2X, this is a big improvement, because it means I'll be able to go a couple days without charging if I need to. I'm sure my battery would drop fast with heavy usage, but this is good enough for me!
had the phone for almost two days.. getting about 14 hours on regular use for me. not bad considering its bone stock. I can manage
install Cut the Rope. You'll see your battery consumption increase drastically. that game is pure evil

Its on Getjar.com
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
i found that with minimum use, and constant reception, im getting almost 20hrs before i get the standard alert.
i usually use internet and gTalk A LOT during a day, and that yields around 10hrs.
but just recently i moved offices to an area with 0 reception or 3g, and when this fone seeks networks, it KILLS the battery, from 100% to 15% warning in just a few hrs
all in all thought its got really good battery life, considering the specs
Thanks, I was looking for this game on the market...
Why does the dev didn't put it on the market ? Is there some fee ?

How do you know the screen brightness percentage? Or is it just a rough estimate?
I was hoping it would at least match my G2 considering it has a 20% larger battery but I could easily go twice as long on my G2 battery as the Sensation. And using the sensation at all really drains the battery fast. 30 minutes of GPS dropped my battery from 95% to 60%. That's just absurd.
lol i completely forgot about the GPS draining the battery, ive only used it twice and never again because its that bad thats a serious issue that hopefully gets fixed (not any time soon though, there are much more important issues at hand)

it's free. I just went to their site, put it the Evo 4G since I don't think the Sensation is listed, downloaded the APK to my dropbox & then opened it on my phone.

I am using N5 since May 2014 and I am considering replacing the battery. How much SOT should I get on an avg usage with 3g continuously ON and without any games and music. I generally get around 2 to 2.30 hrs on a complete charge. Is it less? battery drains around 20% when i keep chatting for an hour or so.
Should i replace the battery?
Lastly, i feel privileged to own N5! Cheers!
Thanks
I think around 2 to 2.5 hours is the average.
Can be subjective depending on use.

Oh i did once, but never got more than 3 since the time i got the phone 2 years back. Will try it again, no harm.
Hello all,
I am having issues of late with battery "drain" for lack of better terms. I have attached a battery log I installed after the 3rd time this happened.
The battery is going from a large amount (most times) to dead in the space of minutes.
Wednesday 9/20 - somewhere around 8:15 it was at 50%.
At 8:50 the phone died.
9/20 again 10:25 pm - 13 %.... at 10:30 the phone was dead (no use)
9/21 around 5 pm it was 60% ten minutes later dead.
It did it again tonight. After the 9/21 discharge I installed a battery logger to see what was going on.
At 9:55:34 it was 47% at 9:55:50 (less then 20 MILLIseconds later) it was at 14%....
I have had battery drain before with programs and services in use, but nothing like this. I don't understand it... this is different. This seems to be something else. Nothing has changed. No new installs. Nothing seems to be using the battery more often. And even if it did, from 47 to 14? That's drastic.
Any ideas? From what I've searched I'm not seeing this type of drain. Just usuage drain.
Battery End of Life.

What more needs expanding about that post? Your battery is at the end of it's life, it's done, get a new one
Don't be stupid, dude. That's impossible, because the S7 has more or less 1 year of life. But that's strange to see a decrease of 40% in 10 minutes.
Probably the battery is defective, not exhausted.

I've had the phone since April 2016 so it could be reaching its life (which would be annoying since they do 2 year leases. Lol)

But our battery lasts many year, depends on your use. If you Quick Charge 2-3 times a day, it's normal.

Sometimes more. And about 75 percent is quick. The other is wireless, but slow non samsung wireless charger.
I kind of figured it was a battery corruption or doa issue. But wanted a second opinion before I turned it in adapter. don't want to get dinged for it.
A nicer responce at first would have been nice tho. Thank you to Syntex for your responses. They are turly appricated.

Both mean the same thing, OP needs a new battery, fairly obvious

My pixel has been having inconsistent battery life at 100% after charging it will sometimes say 19 hours left then sometimes at 100% it will say 9 hours. Is anyone else having this is with the pixel? Is there something I can do to help my battery life I did a factory reset after the Oreo update and have most features turned off. I've had the phone for about a week now with the 100% battery life being drastically different with each charge. I don't have FB mostly still stock apps aside from a game I play. Thanks in advance for any help.
@subvapor It all depends on how you use your phone. This sounds normal and not an issue to me. The estimated battery life it gives you is just that; an estimate. Try this: charge to 100% and use your phone normally until it gets down to around 10% or so. Then check your screen on time in battery settings. I would say 4 to 6 hours is pretty average when it comes to the pixels.

Thanks for the help I get around 3 and a half hours to 6 hours of screen on time. So I guess I'm getting good battery life out of it. I'm just trying to make sure everything is good on it as I got it as refurbished on Amazon with a 90 day warranty. Loving the phone so far though!

Yep that sounds about right. If you take it off the charger and then immediately start using a battery draining app that will really screw up the estimation too.
I had this phone for about a week now. Got used to all the features. Did all the things needed to calm the draining issue. But no budge. I've drained from 85% protection battery on to 65% upon waking up. So much faster drain from my old s20 ultra. I'm sure there will be an update. The more we talk. We all should comment on Instagram comment section.

And do you think that doing a hard reset and setting it up as new can improve the battery?
I lost 5 or 6% overnight, and after last week's update that's been reduced to 3%
I have poor reception at work and even there I have way less drain now, so I'm a happy camper.
Sounds like some app(s) that are draining too much battery imo.
Would probably help if y'all uploaded screenshots of your battery graph. i'm getting 9.5 hours SOT at FHD resolution with Power set to Optimized. I also use the Samsung Browser and not the Battery Hog Google Chrome Browser.

That screenshot shows %100 charge down to %10 charge over a 25 hour period after it was charged 100% full. Screen On Time was 9 hours 37 min and 15 hours 27 min idle. The phone was not recharged in that time period.

You should check which apps comsume battery too much, then decide what to do next.
When i first started i weren't happy at all with the battery drain. It barely used to last with 5hrs or so of screen on time! (Light usage too)
After the first 4 days it got better. I used an app called Alliance Shield X, which i believe helped me a lot. Now I'm happy with my battery drain.
Edit: Also the Galaxy Max Hz App.

Alliance Shield X helps to disable packages, create firewall, adblock, etc...
Galaxy Max Hz allows you to adjust screen refresh rates (highs and lows), and a few other settings like lowest hz on screen off/Aod refresh rate
Instander is just some 3rd party Instagram with additional features, lol. I don't use it a lot so i can't say for certain, but looking at the stats, it seems to be a decent drain
