Build LineageOS for Amlogic M3 - General Questions and Answers

Hi guys!
Wanna build something fresh for my JXD S5110(Amlogic M3 8726M ARM Cortex A9 1GHz CPU, 3D graphics acceleration ARM Mali400 hardware GPU, 512MB DDR3).
All current firmwares have kernel 2.6.34, but I found kernel 3.10.33 with that chip support, which I suggest can be used to build at least KitKat: openlinux.amlogic.com:8000/download/ARM/kernel/m3-2015-03-25-901e2d54cf/
So my questions are:
1. Is it really possible to build KitKat with that kernel?
2. Is it possible to use that kernel with newer Android releases?
3. Is it possible to somehow adopt newer kernels for that chip?
Don't have enough comments to post that to developers' forum, so writing here.
Thank you

Kernel 4.1 or 4.2 For A13 Tablets

Hello to you all,
I am starting to build a rom for Allwinner A13 tablet. And I want to ask you some basic questions.
I got my hands on a FreeLander PD60:
Cpu A13, Gpu 400 Mali, 8Gb nand Flash , Wifi
A. Does 4.1 and/or 4.2 run on it the same as 4 ICS?
B. What kernel should I use and where could I download it?
C. Any other subject if you think worth mentioning?
I was very interested to hear from you guys.
Plz give a little time to point me to the right direction:'(
I have device with A13. I tried to compile kernel, but no luck. I could not boot Android system - Problem with proper mali configuration and crushing of surfaceflinger. Everything should work except camera and hardware video decoding (video decoder mainly build for android 4.0) and maybe touchscreen will not work (test sources for your touchscreen chip). Look to Olimexino.com forum (they manufacture A13 board)

Star B92M Kernel Development

Dear All,
I'm also looking to customize the kernel for overclocking and maybe CM10.1. I have found the kernel source for other Chinese phone TSL S600, TCL S710, TCL S800, which has similar spec:
CPU: MTK6577 ARMv7 Cortex-A9 Dual-core 1.0GHz
GPU: PowerVR SGX531 Ultra
Memory: 512MB
ROM: 4GB
Dual SIM
The source file can be downloaded here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/alca...?source=navbar
Maybe we can port the kernel to B92M and from there develop on the kernel.
I'm have experience in C programming(in my academic days) but no experience in kernel porting. I'm think of trying but don't know how to go about porting it. I have already setup a Ubuntu development environment and trying to compile the Kernel now.. Please feel free to try it out if you have experience with Kernel development. Please contribute and share your experience / problems here!
Let's breath life to this great device!

Post your device information below to help porting roms

Hi all,
I am requesting every user to post their device information given below to help rom porting from different devices. As this will become a list and will help porters to see device information from here.
The following information should be posted.
1. Your device name.
2. Android version
3. Kernel version (this is most important)
4. GPU ( which GPU it has such as Mali 400, Mali 450, etc).
5. CPU (which CPU it has such as MT6572, Snaapdragon 650 etc).
You can get this info by installing CPU-Z or AIDA64 from playstore
Thats all whats required.
As what i know is to port a rom from a device to other device you need to know 3 things.
There are good chances port will be a success
1. It must be same chip manufacturer such as MediaTek you can port mt6572 to mt6580, mt6582 to mt6580 etc.
2. It must have same kernel version although android version can be different.
3. Its Gpu must be same.
So i hope everyone is going to post their device info here so it can help porters to find the right devices for porting.
Starting myself
My device is Qmobile X35
Android version 4.4.2
Kernel version 3.4.67
GPU is Mali-400MP1
CPU is MT6572
I have ported miui8, cm12.1, cm13, ressurection remix 5.5.9 and 5.6.7 on my device successfully.
Now i m going to port pure stock android lolipop on my device if i find same kernel version to my device with lolipop rom.
I hope this list will help a lot as it will have full list of all devices info.
1. Samsung Galaxy J1(sm-j100h)
2. Android 4.4.4
3. Kernel 3.10.17-333157
4.Mali-400 MP
Please post your device info here this list will be helpful i request admins and moderators to make this post sticky please

Building Android for new device (Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite)

I am not sure that is the right section - so fix me if I am wrong.
I am looking for a bit help to build images for a new device, and
as specified in the subject it is: Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite
The device is using this spec:
Code:
PLATFORM
OS Android 7.0 (Nougat)
Chipset Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435
CPU Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53
GPU Adreno 505
I guess I have to use some special build platform or VM emulator to build
for this particular CPU / chipset, so any good pro advice will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
There is a discussion going on in this thread:

Building custom LineageOS - Ginzzu S5110

Hello to all.
Some years ago I tried to build custom ROM for this device - Ginzzu S5110 - but had a lot of troubles and left this idea. Yesterday found this phone far on a shelf and now again want to try biuld something for it. For example LineageOS if it is possible
But this device doesn't have sources of a kernel in a whole google, so could you advice me - how i can make a tree for this device with stock kernel and build a ROM, is it possible? I suppose so.
For information:
It has MediaTek MT6580 CPU, 4x ARM Cortex-AT @ 1300 MHz;
32-bit ARMv7;
Supported abi: armeabi-v7a, armeabi;
Video: 720 x 1280
Mali-400 MP;
RAM 1 Gb,
Android version - 5.1.
Kernel arch - armv7l.
