I updated my s8+ with the most recent update and I was able to remap the xda developers app to the Bixby button.

It only works temporarily for me. It worked great the first few hours I set it up, but after that it just stops working, and Bixby comes up as normal. I've tried disabling and re-enabling the service and clearing the cache, but nothing works short of a fresh re-install.
It's still working on mine and I installed it when I put up this link.

Still works on mine. I remapped it so "Real Calculator" comes up when I hit the button.

This works great for me!! I did a video to spread the word on this cool app.
It's here if anyone is interested

Please, someone, is there a way to disable the annoying mobile data notification when you turn it on or off?

Hey,
with 3C Toolbox Pro, you can select "no notifs" for "Telefonservice" in the Appmanager. Probably this feature is in the free version also. Basically every decent
Appmanager with disabling notification feature should do aswell.
Can I do this using Elixir? I can see something like that but I'm not sure what's the option I have to disable.

I'm looking for that option In 3C Toolbox but can't find it, can you please help me?

I've noticed my Last Pass auto fill has not been autofilling my queries properly. My accessibility services are continually being turned off and I have to go back in and enable them whenever needed.
Anyone else having these issues and is there a fix?

I have the same issue with 1Password. Super annoying.

Make sure you set lastpass to ignore battery optimizations.

thanks for the tip.... so far, it's solved my lastpass issue... now if i can get google voice to work...
Tested both and can confirm this works for LastPass but not for 1Password. Bummer.

Settings>battery>close apps after screen lock
then find the app and toggle to OFF works for Roboform. Accessibility finally remains ON.
That is not where I would look to find what everyone calls "ignore battery optimisation" and it has taken a while to find the correct setting to change. I'm posting this in case it helps someone find the correct place. Huawei themselves say that different phones have different menus.
Hi Folks, kind of what the title says. I'm trying to get a Note 5 set up for my mom to use. Basic Visual Voicemail is supposed to be included with any smartphone plan, but the Play store says the VVM app is "not compatible" with my device. Any idea what's going on here?
I have the regular (non-visual) voicemail app, but that just basically dials *86 for me and turns on the speakerphone. Thanks!
I don't know... I had it then got a replacement phone and loaded MM. I liked visual voicemail.

I have it working now. I got on chat with a Verizon rep who told me she activated it. In the meantime I had also sideloaded the apk of the Verizon Visual Voicemail app, which did not seem to help, but I'm not sure. I was doing this at about the same time as I was on chat with the rep, so I'm not really sure what solved the problem, but it's working now.
And you're on Nougat or MM?

Nougat. Bone stock device, new a couple weeks ago. Insurance replacement for a lost one.
Mine is an insurance replacement also, downgraded back to MM. So, I don't know. I really liked visual voicemail. If I contact Verizon for assistance, they will want to know why I'm on MM.

Their systems already know you're on MM and besides it's really not any of Verizons damn business what rom version you're on.. Just download the visual voice-mail from somewhere and run it.
Visual voicemail from play store won't let me. Says device's not compatible.

You can give this a shot but I'm not sure if it's going to work without being in /system/priv-apps .. Still worth a try though.

Says parsing error. This happens with another app I try to download. I don't have that many apps disabled in package disabler so I'm not sure.

Maybe I'll call Verizon see if they can help. If it wasn't for having my own business, visual voicemail wouldn't be a big deal. But once I had it, I liked it and used it quite frequently.

Ok...got visual voicemail working. Talked to a tech on the ask a tech feature. Had to go into application manager and force stop voicemail. Then go into the Verizon folder in my app drawer and click on voicemail. Since I got this replacement 5 and downgraded back to MM it changed settings. So I'm good now.
Thanks for all the replies. Maybe this will help OP.

I had the update come through 2 days ago here in Australia. I expected it to have voice but no voice yet.
Me too. Nothing new. Although it says Bixby voice, Bixby talks. But nope, it doesn't speak.

Same to u ,I think B voice will be available in the next bixby home update
I personally think just after launch
of Note 8 (next week, 23 August ? ) or somewhere close to that,
Note 8 will also have Bixby on board.
Will also be a great "selling point" for Note 8.
A fully working Bixby on board. ?...... like with us.. S8 /S8+
