Doesn't work for me. I removed the secure folder and it still gives error.

For Galaxy phones you want to use this version.
Pixel Launcher
Version O-3743572

This may sound stupid but why not use Nova and set up just like Pixel Launcher only better?

I too had the problem where Pixel Launcher would crash on startup and had zero luck getting it to work.... that is until I disabled Secure Folder. Now it works just fine!

[Q] App not installed.

This is the error I'm getting when trying to install some apks. A lot of others worked but some just won't. It's a new phone and a fresh ROM. Why is this happening? What do I do about it?

What is the name of the app? Did you downloaded it from Play or was it an apk file? Info please

One of the apps which did it was Battery Widget Reborn. I initially tried installing it via .apk and got the error. Then the same app normally installed via Play store.

Not trying to be snarky, but what good is a smartphone without internet access? Sounds like a $400 paperweight. Are you running a virus scanner that could possibly be blocking sideloading?

I do have wifi access now and a (very limited) data plan. And I have no virus scanners.

Many apps need to be set to rw-r-r
Download file manager. Enable root in settings. Try pushing it to system/app. Restart and see if it works then

I'm having a similar issue. I've been using a slingplayer app that I downloaded over two years ago. I had it working on my Nexus 5 until I switched to ART. After the switch it wouldn't install. I switched back to Dalvik and now it won't reinstall. I can and have installed every other apk on my phone with no problem since switching back except for this one. Any suggestions?

Tried that and it didn't work, but...
PROBLEM SOLVED! What I did was to do a thorough search inside my root to find anything related to the app I was trying to install. I found out that the app has somewhat partially installed in few places. I then deleted all of those and tried installing again. Worked.

I also tried switching between Dalvik and ART but it didn't seem to change anything. I suggest you search your root for any remnants of the app you want to install. Look in data/app, data/app-lib, data/data and system/app.

Work on my moto x 2013 with OctOs 6.0.1. But, sometimes show pop-up mihome force stopped on first running. After clicked 3 times after all be fine. Next will try on my nexus 7 2013 LTE running stock 6.0.1.
Thanks, work fine on Note 4
Installs just fine as a regular apk. No root needed. One issue, the shadow on the icons is white. That's not normal.

It depends on whether you already have a launcher based on launcher2 installed. Mihome is technically the same package as launcher2.

Game nav keys missing

I just flahed the unlocked fw SM-G955U1 and it went really well. Set everything up and everything is working great. However i am missing the icons on my nav bar when playing games that let me do things like record the screen. I turned on game launcher and even launched the game from it but it still doesnt have the extra icons like this. https://www.androidcentral.com/how-use-game-tools-samsung-galaxy-s8
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
It was found.
When the game was in the game launcher i had to change it to list as game.

Working Screen Calling [GLOBALLY]

I was able to enable screen calling by modifying /data/data/com.google.android.dialler/dialer_phenotype_flags.xml
mine is attached working in Australia
just copy over to the location and overwrite the original file (remove "WORKING-" from the file)
Doesn't do nothing for me in UK but I am on AOSIP

ive done it on two pixel 3s in australia and it works perfectly!
i knew it was just a simple edit in a file somewhere - hope it helps more people
you can do it manually by changing anything in the file to TRUE that has "speakeasy" or "speak_easy"
make sure you force stop phone apk and go to settings and enable the option to screen call
Not working for me in Canada.

Works for me in the UK. With regards to it working on custom ROMs it will work as it's more dialer related than ROM related

Disable Apps Permanently

Hey, I was wondering if there is a way to disable/uninstall system apps without root. In this specific case, I would like to remove YouTube and Google Duo, however, I tried to disable + force stop the apps but they reappear after a while. Next I tried to disable them via ADB but even then they reappeared like nothing happened.
I'm currently using a OnePlus 7 Pro on the latest OOS, I rather not root the phone just yet. As I don't want to void my UK warranty.
Any suggestions would be welcome
