S8 Lockscreen clock for S7
This is a modified SystemUI bringing the S8 lockscreen clock for your S7 phone!
Please note this mod is currently experimental
Installation
Please before making any modifications I recommend making a SystemUI backup using an app such as Titanium Backup, just in case.
1. Download the lockscreen version you want below
2. Flash it using your recovery
3. Reboot
4. Enjoy!
Note: This will display as-well as on the screenshot as long you keep the 24 hours format and no matter what language your phone use.
Downloads
Two versions are availables, one just as the S8 look like and another with bold minutes (personally I prefer it)
normal version | bold version
Please make sure to leave a feedback saying if it works and on which ROM you installed it.
Thanks I would really appreciate it.
Note: This should work on stock ROMs , for others it isn't tested. Use it at your own risk.

Hey, thanks for your feedback
Could you give me some informations about the ROM you're using, your Android version and also, if possible a logcat when the crash occurs please.
Also, this is very hard for me to make a "universal version" since SystemUIs are all kinda different and I need more investigation on it, sorry about that.
That's just a question of time, I guess.
Anyway you can try doing the modifications by yourself following this tutorial :fingers-crossed:

i think that if we both have the identical issue in 2 different roms, maybe the problem is about something more general, anyways i copied the old systemui apk, how can i restore it? (if i override the new one it keeps crashing also after a reboot...)

You can put back your previous SystemUI apk directly there -> /system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk
Don't forget to chmod it to 644

I have the same question. The file is "i777-4.6.29-4.4.zip". Since it is posted in Galaxy Note 2 it may be for note2 but can someone please confirm? I am excited to try Kitkat based MIUI
I downloaded the zip as quickly as i could and yes i did notice i777. I thought maybe it works , because another MIUI dev had multiple names and still could run.
The build.prop says i777 too. I'm not sure what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

The op says for s2 i777, might he be mistaken by the forum lol

yep build.prop needs edit as all relates to i777. pretty sure system board is different from n7100. you could try replace build.prop from another N7100 KK rom with one in rom zip as that could help!

also some really good and more knowledgable people on here than me so if they feel to might advise you on edits needed...............if can be done for i777 so n7100 might not be far behind.

can u try onscreen navigation a moment??
just want verify either if flashing problem. .
First, thanks for a great rom!! After flashing latest 5/23 version I am very un-happy with the new version of "gallery apk". I was about to just pull the older version out of the 4/23 rom and put it in this version.......but, while researching have found that system apps are handled very differently in LP than KK. Also, after much reading/searching have not found a good guide for doing this. Can someone that knows, provide a step by step for this procedure please. Also sorry this is kinda-sorta OT.

And by the look of it this ROM is dead in the water
Not dead by what I can tell its just running good minus a few bugs, so there is nothing to talk about,
I have the navbar fix so a update will be out soon.

- Go to build.prop

As far as I know the answer is no. This has touchwiz which means it has most of the Samsung features. I'm sure sooner or later someone will though.
Is there a fix for screen mirroring or is just mine having issues if not what breaks it root or kernel?

Yup.
If I put it anywhere but on the left, it will sometimes appear twice like in your screenshot.
I prefer it on the right like stock. when I move it to the right, it will either double up like yours or just switch back to the left.
My clock is fine. Launcher issue?
I haven't seen the issue yet. I have the clock centered. Clean flash and haven't seen any problems yet.
I'm not sure what's going on. I did a dirty flash first and followed with a clean one when I found the problem. I even checked it before I even downloaded titanium backup. It's a minor issue.

Two clean flashes for me, same deal.
Agreed, minor issue. I just leave the clock on the left and everything is good.
Is there a way to have my recent apps button back instead of menu? Sorry if this has been asked already. ROM works fantastic though.
UPDATE!!!!!
I used his custom rom and debloated it some more and have been using some apps and they seem to load up faster than on a regular basis if anyone is interested on it? I will not be responsible for anything that may happen to your phone. I have tried it and it works. It takes a long time for the first boot up but it worked for me. It does not lag and it is very fast. I will try to work on the camera because it is kinda weird sometimes.

Thanks for the offer, just everything I flash the mod with the jars I get a bootloop. I will have to sit down and unzip and compare the files for the edge and the mod.
This is what needs modded and put in the frameworks folder in zip
Needed mod for edge+:Download here
Already modded but not for edge (needs clone to link above to work) : Download Here

Yes i use GamerOnOne's mod to flash note 5 rom on my s6 edge plus. Works great, if it was not for that we would have no development for the edge plus here
I'm you're huckleberry. @GamerOnOne Hit me up so we can colleberate together on this mod if you want. I have the skills in spaids. i just haven't messed with that yet. But i would like to get it working correctly. PM me anytime.

Pretty much it's ported from the edge plus. I've been working on it the past couple of weeks and put a beta out last week. Finally got around to getting the first version up today. This will add edge to any lollipop note 5 rom.

Thanks 4 this port. I just flashed and have voice calls.
Would you mind if i let it be known to other t-mobile users who have been left out of the Grace UX goodness?

You are right, FC. I noticed another bug with auto brightness. And also cant remove battery percentage. Get FC everytime. Still testing though...

Just wipe your device, flash rom, flash stock modified kernel, reboot..... A little buggy but calls do indeed work.
Just installed and working just fine! But there is a problem in the notification panel. If I get a notification, it kind of hids under the Quick Connect bar area-only half the notification bar shows. Kind of annoying but it is very early
Working great!!! Thank you very much! Full wipe, flash rom then flash stock kernel. All is working well. Will flash stock modified kernel (last download link) in a few. Just getting a feel for the phone now. Thanks again!
I can report skyhigh latest kernel also working with call audio

NFC force closes, auto brightness not working, notification pull down overlaps, blue filter not working , but again forgivable right now. Very smooth ROM. Very grateful. All will be fixed in due time. Patience
So is this the actual Note 7 ROM or is it the GraceUX? They are a little different, right?

If you install Good Lock, that fixes the notification pull down overlap issue.
You can find Good Lock @ apkmirror.com. It's made specifically for Samsung Marshmallow ROM's.
