If I try this with Merruk's Kernel. Should I flash this first as the Kernel removes the stock recovery? And will it work?

This is what I do:
I have STOCK DXLA1 and I flash Chobits ROM v1 and v1.2 via stock recovery.
Then I extract system to SD card, flash Merruk's Kernel via ODIN and install the Ext4.zip(This was the instruction in Merruk's Kernel)
I got Superuser error. I try installing busybox 1.19.4 but SU keeps on denying busybox.

because of the compression issue latest merruk gave me su issue , too

Are there ways to fix that?

reinstall stock kernel...then flash a new rom. we should take note that both merruk and vivek kernel are still underdevelopment stage. its not 100% work. we should understand take care all responsibility if we use them.

enter recovery mode, wipe /data. I hope he has made a backup of his contact since this method will erase all of his data and contact stored in the phone.

You'll just need to do a wipe data .. just boot in stock recovery then re-install.
NOTE : First boot animation will take some time.. cheers~

Flashed this ROM no problems all looking good, reboot into STOCK recovery and apply the 1.2 update zip in STOCK recovery and reboot, now my touch screen doesn't respond to any touches.
Even when I hold the power button for the shut down menu to come up, it doesn't register my touches on that menu either, so the only way to turn off my phone it pulling the battery.
reflashing the original ROM fixes the touch screen, but updating breaks this.
whats causing this thanks

cool rom.. but swype doesn't work after update.. I have removed it..

very nice ROM! I'll stick with this for a while, the best so far in terms of UI and features

I tried flashing through CWM, STOCK using various combinations, but the touch screen doesn't respond on the update..
I tried flashing 1.0 through stock and 1.2 through stock - frozen touch
both through cwm - frozen touch
one through cwm and one through stock - frozen touch..
I don't understand why I'm getting this problem, I've heard of bootloops and things but never frozen touchscreen, I know the screen still works because I can turn it on and off using the power button and holding the powerbutton brings up that phone menu (which I can't touch)..

Reboot recovery
factory reset
wipe data/cache/system/dalvik

This Rom is no longer supported. Quoted from Bajee, I'm taking a break from rootbox for an undetermined amount of time. I'm not fed up with complaints or whiners, I simply don't have enough time on hand to manage this project at the moment. RootBox is not dead, keep that in mind.

Can't seem to multitask. When holding the home button, nothing happens.

First off thanks racing for taking the time to create this ROM for us!!! Used it on my exhibit 2 4g,and loved all the tweaks and the fluidity of the ROM. I can already tell it's a future DD for me!!!

JB 2012/10/11 gapps is the normal for most cm10/4.1.2 based ROMs.

As for RootBox Rom I will not be doing any more work with it. The original developer has decided to step down for an un-determined amount of time so no updates will be available...

My first post on XDA !
Tested Xperience ROM on XT1033.
Could not test network connectivity as I have a nano sim installed on another phone. XT1033 is not my daily driver as of now hence i am testing other aspects. Swype functionality of keyboard is not working for me. Apart from that, it seems to be flawless !! Awesome work !!

Anyone tried this rom on XT1033 GPE converted?

I've managed to get the ROM up and going and root and re-install some of the apps I had on 4.4.4 (oh Xposed ... you'll be dearly missed until a 5.0 support release) ... and as usual , I deleted some apk's that I do not use (ever) .
Of course , with a new Android comes new features as well and one of them was the Search/Voice Search Bar present in the Recents menu .
Since I do not use Google's built in Search/Voice Search , I deleted the apk but an artefact remained , and , you guessed it , it's in the Recents menu ... Here's a screenshot :

Im on Boost XT1031 and the rom runs very smoothly except for camera. Ive tried stock and Google Camera but it keeps saying cant connect. Any clue on how to fix this?

It's a known issue in the latest version , OP stated so in the first post of the ROM . Patience and it'll be fixed .

It just doesn't show that its charging. You have to restart to see that it is. Nothing major. I should have clarified better.

Also. I just rebooted and it shows that its charging but I have no signal. I unplugged from the charger and rebooted. Signal is back. Just a FYI.

Is there a list or something on what "features" you lose from the LG Stock ROM going to this? TYVM.

Testing a new build today with the charging fix and also the ability to charge it while powered off

Dirty Flash or OTA's?
If i install this rom and a new nightly or update is out do i have to dirty flash it every time or are their OTAs in build

FOr now you will either need to dirty flash or wipe and flash. We dont have OTAs setup yet.

Not so much the Laser. Just the camera app itself.. It on lg dependencies I guess. I believe the firmware for the camera isn't open source.

I just uploaded it a half hour ago and updated the OP for the ROM

Google Play Services stopped working on new build after a dirty flash. I am reflashing the gapps to see if that fixes it.
Edit* - Reflashing the gapps fixed the issue. All the Gapps were a little buggy when the phone first turned on, but after a couple minutes the bugs were worked out.

This ROM is awesome, after applying fixes!
Only problem I have is that my saved wifi connections don't stick after rebooting.

(I used ES FILE EXPLORER for this so, that's what I suggest)
- Go to build.prop
- Find: ro.securestorage.support
- Replace the default true value with false

As far as I know the answer is no. This has touchwiz which means it has most of the Samsung features. I'm sure sooner or later someone will though.

Is there a fix for screen mirroring or is just mine having issues if not what breaks it root or kernel?

Yup.
If I put it anywhere but on the left, it will sometimes appear twice like in your screenshot.
I prefer it on the right like stock. when I move it to the right, it will either double up like yours or just switch back to the left.

My clock is fine. Launcher issue?

I haven't seen the issue yet. I have the clock centered. Clean flash and haven't seen any problems yet.

I'm not sure what's going on. I did a dirty flash first and followed with a clean one when I found the problem. I even checked it before I even downloaded titanium backup. It's a minor issue.

Two clean flashes for me, same deal.
Agreed, minor issue. I just leave the clock on the left and everything is good.

Is there a way to have my recent apps button back instead of menu? Sorry if this has been asked already. ROM works fantastic though.

UPDATE!!!!!
I used his custom rom and debloated it some more and have been using some apps and they seem to load up faster than on a regular basis if anyone is interested on it? I will not be responsible for anything that may happen to your phone. I have tried it and it works. It takes a long time for the first boot up but it worked for me. It does not lag and it is very fast. I will try to work on the camera because it is kinda weird sometimes.
