Hi guys,
I want to remove the annoying message shown with always on display, just above the home button.
It says "to unlock blabla... "
Hope you know how to do it.
Thanks
Not sure if this has anything to do with it but under screen lock settings I removed the home button on lock screen and it doesn't show it on mine.

Thanks for your answer,
But I didn't find this option. I even switched from French to English to find something allowing me to do that.
Can you provide a screen shot?
Thanks
It's a tutorial, just go through the steps it says and it'll finish the tutorial and go away.

First: your gonna need a google account that's set up with the proper "nickname" that you want (if you don't already have one).
Second: on your phone do the following at the home screen;
press menu ---> settings ---> applications ---> manage applications, you will get a message "Computing application sizes" then it will go to all apps installed on the phone.
Third: scroll down to "Google Apps" and click it to enter it.
Fouth: click on the "Clear data" button, you should get a black triangle with a white "exclamation point" (!) in it after a few seconds in the top left corner.
Fifth: click the back button until you get back to your home screen.
Lastly: pull down the notification menu and click on the message "Your account must be updated" Follow the onscreen instruction till you get to where it asks you to "create" or "sign in", click "sign in" and enter YOUR google account info. You'll get a message saying that you are signing in and it may take up to five minutes... then click "Finish"

You might need to restart for it to ask for you to verify user id again.

Sorry, that one I don't know.
Good luck.
You might want to see if you can get a mod to change the status on this thread for you or you won't get very much help!
Hey guy, I got a galaxy s blaze recently and just rooted it today. I came across the problem of my home screen showing through my lock screen, no matter what type of unlocking method I use- whether it be passcode, the normal swipe to unlock, or the patter, it always shows through. It worked fine before, but I booted into CWM recovery on accident and when I rebooted to get out, it was like this. The pictures should help you guys understand what I'm talking about if you don't already. Please use noob friendly language, because I am a noob (although I hate to admit it...). Thanks for the help (first post by the way)
I believe there us a setting under display that allows you to use a picture for the unlock screen

I had the exact same problem until I went into the options and chose to use my wallpaper as my lockscreen image.
Thanks, I figured it out. Also, does anybody know how to make it so then when you lock the phone is requires you to slide to unlock and then prompts you to put in the passcode/pattern?

I believe that requires a change in the frameworks but not sure

If helped don't be afraid to hit the thanks button it doesn't bite lol
This happens after you fix permissions, if it happens again just change to a new wallpaper/ lock screen wallpaper and it will be fine.

I never thought I'd say this, but coming from an iPhone and I feel like Apple actually has the better notification system. Is there a trick with EMUI to get notifications to be able to open from the lockscreen? I don't want to have to go all the way in to the app to reply to a text (stock app) or email (Google inbox). It seems as though you can do nothing with the lockscreen notifications besides look at them. I'm talking the main screen by the way, not the actual notification screen. Please help a returning Android consumer of you can. I'm hoping there's just a setting somewhere I'm missing to get this to work. Thanks!

Maybe this?
Yea I get the notification on the lockscreen, I just can't do anything with it other than double tap to open the respective app. With the iPhone, I can reply to a text or email directly from the lockscreen without ever leaving the lockscreen.

If you install/use Textra instead of the stock text app, I believe you can reply directly from the notification.
Yes that's the route I'm going to have to go. Thanks for the replies...Stock just doesn't do it.

In fact huawei notifications are not actionable. I doubt it'll be same for third party apps too

Setting-notification management-setting(top right corner)-when device is locked.

FYI, I have noticed one strange oddity when replying to texts directly from the lockscreen in Textra, vs. unlocking the phone and replying: when typing in my keyboard (I use Swiftmoji), press & hold on keys doesn't work. For example, to do an exclamation point in this keyboard, you press & hold the period, which brings up the exclamation point, question mark, etc. Press/hold doesn't work. But if I unlock and continue my reply, it works.
Personally, it's not a big deal to me to unlock the phone and reply from the app, except when the phone is sitting on my desk. I'm not really sold on the rear mounted fingerprint sensor. My phone is most often laying near me face up.

There is a setting called when device is locked.

Crap...Got excited when I found that, but didn't make a difference. Thanks anyway..Thought that may have been the simple setting that I was missing.

Hello,
I have a Nexus 5 with Marshmallow.
I don't know what I did but now when I get a call, the lock screen opens but no way of answering the call.
Before a green screen would show up with a button on bottom to swipe up to answer. This screen no longer comes up.
Could someone point me in the direction to fixing this?
Thanks

You could enable "Volume up for answering", most devices have this ability. As for the issue I have no idea, But try what I mentioned as a temporary solution.
Thank you for your reply.
I would like to try "Volume up for answering" but don't recall the location of this setting. I have now looked for it and cannot find it.
Could you please point me in the right direction for finding that setting in Marshmallow?

That setting is typically found within phone settings if the device has it, Open the phone app and go to its settings and it should hopefully be there as well.
I couldn't find any setting on the phone app I am using (True Phone) so I looked for the stock Google app and had trouble finding it. I wasn't using it so disabled it a few days ago. I looked on Play Store and found it but wanted to update it. I did that.
From that moment the answer screen returned. Now back to where I was.
Great work for making me look for those settings.
Thank you very much. All done.
Hey guys,
Just did the firmware update to C636 overnight, when I woke in the morning the update had finished and the was an options screen showing, that had some setting and something about the Huawei User Experience program or something.
I accidentally dismissed this screen before having a proper look at it. Just wondering if anyone might be able to share a screenshot of all the options on this screen, or us there any way to navigate back to it?
Sorry for the vague description, I really only got a brief look at it before I dismissed it.
Thanks for any help

Go to settings and search "User experience improvement project"
You can enable/disable it there if you want to
Thanks for the reply. But I think there were 1 or 2 other options available in the post-update screen. Maybe not relating to the user experience program.
Thanks again for the reply.
