hello, is possible, even with other apps, to get a notification in status bar when a badge is show? example arrives a like on facebook, is possible to get a status bar notification? i have lg g6 with nougat. thanks
If you have the Facebook app, it should give you notifications.
If you are using mobile browser to view facebook, go to Facebook settings, find notifications, turn on notifications via email or text, then set it to notify you via SMS phone number or set it to notify you via e-mail. Then open your email app and set it to notify you when a message comes in, this should send the Facebook notification to your email then your email should give you an icon in status bar. If you set it to notify via SMS then it will send a text message to your phone, if you have text messaging set to notify in status bar then you should be set.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 8.0.
I use the Samsung Email v5.0.x app.
When I'm using the phone, if I receive an e-mail, it doesn't appear from the top of the screen in a temporary banner-style notification.
I simply hear the audio notification, the icon appears in the notification bar and the notification appears in the notification tray.
Some other apps produce a banner notification (e.g. Messenger).
I don't see any options in App Notification settings.
Any idea how to enable this?

Click to collapse
Found it.
The Dot that is to show that there are unread messages, emails etc. disappears once the notification is swiped away from the notifications bar. To my understanding the Dot should remain even if the notifications is swiped away as the Dot would show I have unread messages unless I have manually marked it as read from the notification (this is how it is in Huawei, App Badge).
This is not well implemented in OnePlus as not sure what's the purpose of removing the Dot along with notification from the Status bar. Removing notifications from the notifications bar declutters the area but removing all notifications from everywhere does not make sense. This way one would not know there are unread messages unless and until apps are opened, and if something important it would definitely have already been missed.
Is this same in the Lineage OS ROM ?
I get notifications at the lock screen (for email and text), and when I clear them, the icon badges disappear. I have unread email and text messages piling up any solution??
This is normal behavior. Notification badge numbers will be disappeared in the notification is dismissed since the notification badge is linkage with notification.
However, You can enable and disable app icon badges for all apps or for individual apps. Android O gives you complete freedom to choose which apps can add that extra bit of information to your Home Screen.
Open the Settings app and go to Apps & Notifications. Tap Notifications and enable or disable app icon badges by flipping the Allow icon badges switch on or off respectively.
In settings > notifications, pop-up style is COMPACT and all APPS are selected, but when I receive an email from GMAIL, I do not get any pop-up, only an icon on the notification bar.
All is fine for SMS or whatsapp.
Any reason why?
Hold and press the Gmail icon , then in ยก sympol at top right you can see notifications. Just check pop up
that dix it thx
