In settings > notifications, pop-up style is COMPACT and all APPS are selected, but when I receive an email from GMAIL, I do not get any pop-up, only an icon on the notification bar.
All is fine for SMS or whatsapp.
Any reason why?

Is it possible to add a shortcut to be used from the notification bar drop down/windowshade?
I would like to be able to have the delete/view option for an email by long pressing in the notification bar/drop down window. Currently, we select the email to get into the Gmail app - then use that option there. I'm just wondering if there is a way we can add in that menu option with a long press from the notification bar/drop down window.
If we could figure it out for Gmail then it could be worked on for K-9Mail, etc.
hello, is possible, even with other apps, to get a notification in status bar when a badge is show? example arrives a like on facebook, is possible to get a status bar notification? i have lg g6 with nougat. thanks
If you have the Facebook app, it should give you notifications.
If you are using mobile browser to view facebook, go to Facebook settings, find notifications, turn on notifications via email or text, then set it to notify you via SMS phone number or set it to notify you via e-mail. Then open your email app and set it to notify you when a message comes in, this should send the Facebook notification to your email then your email should give you an icon in status bar. If you set it to notify via SMS then it will send a text message to your phone, if you have text messaging set to notify in status bar then you should be set.
Good evening at all,
I've already tried to do a forum search, but I did not find an answer.
I use Nova Launcher Pro.
I have a problem with notifications. Notifications work in whatsapps and sms, I see them on the top bar.
Instead, in other apps (calendar, inbox by gmail, netatmo security for example) are not seen. They appear quickly on the screen and then disappear.
Can someone help me?
I've already tried to modify the power saving options, but it does not change anything, even by changing the "special access" menu.
Thank you

Have you gone into Nova settings and down to Notification badges, tap that and down on the bottom you will see TeslaUnread and enable the apps you want to get notifications from?
Hello, thanks for the answer.
My problem is of not having notification icons in the status bar for applications (for example the notifications of Netatmo, the security camera app ).
I have notification icons only for messaging programs (like whatsapp, sms etc.). For other apps, I have the only notifications that appear on the screen and soon disappear.
Thanks

UP!
Please help me!
About phantom vibrations, today I was in front of my pc when I heard a vibration without notification on the phone and I noticed on the PC that I just had an email, so the ghost notification was due to the arrival of the email!
Im having the same issue, I get a vibration, and a quick flash of a notification.
So if my phone is in my pocket, by the time I get it out the notification will be gone.
Text message, whats app and gmail all seem to work
I dont get google voicemail notifications, group me notifications, let go notifications and a few others...help?
I get notifications at the lock screen (for email and text), and when I clear them, the icon badges disappear. I have unread email and text messages piling up any solution??
This is normal behavior. Notification badge numbers will be disappeared in the notification is dismissed since the notification badge is linkage with notification.
However, You can enable and disable app icon badges for all apps or for individual apps. Android O gives you complete freedom to choose which apps can add that extra bit of information to your Home Screen.
Open the Settings app and go to Apps & Notifications. Tap Notifications and enable or disable app icon badges by flipping the Allow icon badges switch on or off respectively.
Every time a message is received on WhatsApp, all the previously unread messages too show up in the notification area.
Anyone who uses Notification History would see all these old WhatsApp messages before the other recently received notifications. The notification history becomes a mess because of this.
Is there a way to stop these old messages from showing up again (without reading them)?

When a new message is received on WhatsApp, it is common for the app to group the notification with the previous unread messages. However, if you don't want the old messages to show up in the notification area every time a new message is received, you can try the following:
Open WhatsApp and go to Settings > Notifications.
Scroll down and select "Group notifications".
Under "Notification tone", select "Silent".
Under "Message notifications", select "No sound" and "No vibration".
Under "Light", turn off the toggle for "Use high priority notifications".
Go back to the main Settings menu and select "Apps & notifications".
Select "Notifications" and then "Advanced".
Turn off the toggle for "Allow notification dot".
By following these steps, WhatsApp notifications will no longer make any sound or vibration, and the app won't use high priority notifications or notification dots. This way, when a new message arrives, it won't group with the previous unread messages, and they won't show up in the notification area again. However, you will still receive the notification in the notification shade, and you can read the new message there.

Lovely. I think this may work with some tweaks.
I will try and 'mute' or archive individual conversations (since some of these are from individuals too) and see if that helps.
This is indeed something for WhatsApp to sort out in their app so they don't show previous unread conversations repeatedly in the notification area. This gets annoying very quickly.
