Hello there,
I have a Sony Experia E. My niece has entered a password accidentally and now it is locked. I tried to hard reset it but the combination 'volume down + power button' doesn't do anything. It just turns the phone on. Also, I tried to hard reset it using the pc companion but that doesn't seem to work either. It doesn't even recognize the phone. So, I can't access the pre-boot menu with none of the standard methods.
Is there maybe an alternative way to get around this problem? I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

did you tried to reflash the ftf with flash tool?
Do you have your BOOTLOADER unlocked?
If YES, there's a simple method to break your PASSWORD..
Let me know your answer..
Sony xperia e
Thank you for your replies.
At the end the only cure I had was to take the phone to a service. After 15 days they've unlocked it and sent it back.
Anyway, thanks again.

try entering android recovery.
There you will have the option to factory reset the phone.
When the phone boots and sony logo shows press volume up button or volume down button repeatedly.(I forgot which one exactly )
Then you will enter android recovery.
Hit thanks if I helped.

I think, he don't have custom recovery installed.
To go in custom recovery reboot the phone start pressing volume down button repeatedly until you get in recovery.

No, Tipo don't have stock recovery. We need to install custom recovery.
I have not rooted or modded my Z3 (T-Mobile) in any way. Today I turn on the screen and get a bunch of android error pop-ups like "Google services not responding". I don't remember the exact message. So I try to reboot the phone. I see the initial Sony Xperia boot screen then the screen goes black. The phone will not boot. I can get into recovery but safe mode doesn't work. Factory reset didn't solve the issue either. I can not connect over USB (including in the Sony PC Companion).
I figure I have a busted device, but does anyone know of a solution?
Xperia phones do not come with am accesable recovery, so if you can enter recovery it must be modified in some way....
Also if you have a recovery, just restore a backup, it flash an update.zip

I bought it new and have not modified it. Holding Vol Down + Power goes to a very basic "System Recovery". The only options are Power Up, Safe Mode, Factory Reset and Power down. I took it to T-Mobile today and they were unable to get it to boot. Going to contact Sony now.
I've tried to reset my locked phone with every method that I found and it still doesn't work. My Xperia Z3 D6603 is locked with a password I can't remember. I've tried pressing the yellow button near the SIM card, I've tried the code with *#*# at the beginning, I've tried installing PC and Xperia Companion, I've tried pressing the power and volume down button; the volume up and down and the power button after. I don't understand why it doesn't work for my phone!! I'm desperate! I want to recover my phone, I can't do anything with it. I can't seem to find a solution. PLEASE HELP ME SOON!
Problem solved. I successfully reset it from the PC Companion, even though I lost my data, at least I got my phone to work again.
