I have done update the Samsung S3 Gear an version r760xxu2bqc5, the update was successful.
After the upgrade have problem with install the app. It fails either the download and installation.
Does anyone have the same problem? or similar?

You mean over the Air Update? "FOTA"...
Or manually with Computer and Odin over Wifi?

I have galaxy tab 2.when i check in settings for update tab says no update available but kies says new firmware available.but when i click update device connection get lost and reconnect.pls help me.and also tell me which is latest firmware rolled out by samsung here?

Hey..Even i am facing the same problem.
i guess there must b some kind of modes like download mode or recovery mode in which we have to boot our device..the problem is even i dont know as well as the samsung customer care .

Howdy. I've got a Relay that I'm using on T-Mobile, which got upgraded OTA to Android v4.1.2 . But I have another, seemingly identical Relay that used to be on T-Mobile but doesn't have a SIM that is stuck on 4.0.4 . I use it for non-phone functions over Wifi. Using the phone settings it refuses to upgrade, saying "The device is up to date." I tried using a Windows machine with Samsung Kies installed (and upgraded), but Kies says "your device current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies".
I'm not really interested in rooting the phone at this point. I just want to upgrade to Android v4.1.2 so I can have the same apps on both stock phones. Any ideas?

Has the phone been previously rooted or modified? Usually that's why Kies would refuse to upgrade one.
In any case you can manually update it. The files are sprinkled around in the forum.

when i got mine, before i rooted it, i had no sim.. put it on wifi, then went into about.. upgrade and did ota.
i highly reccomend unlocking via free mode.
samfirmware and odin is the other option.

It's got no SIM, but it is on Wifi, and About device > Software update is what says "The device is up to date".

samfirmware and odin are apps for installing a firmware from a desktop? I don't have to root the phone or anything? I can find a stock 4.1.2 firmware for the Relay?

you do not have to have root to use odin

www.samfirmware.com is a place you can download firmwares for any Samsung Rom.
Odin is the program used to flash .tar images. You'll need Odin to flash things like stock firmwares and bootloaders like ClockworkMod (CWM)
hi there. I really need help with my Samsung note 2 lte (GT-N7105). well ive been waiting for kit kat update and there was once when I saw the software update prompt on my phone,I chose to update later coz I had no wifi connection nearby at that time. but when I tried to update, my phone says that the latest software has already been installed. its currently on 4.3 jellybean. I called up samsung customer care and followed their instructions but downloading "KIES 3" and I should should able to update from them. but even when I connect my phone to kie 3,its says the latest software is already installed. can anyone please explain to me why? all the other note 2 users I know are enjoying the new kit kat update. will my phone ever get the update? pls help. thanks. am from simgapore btw..
I've acquired a note 10.1 (GT-N8010) on 4.1.2 and when I try to do software update is says "your device has been modified"
I'm guessing that it's been rooted but it's not rooted now. Can i get this to update at all?

If you are trying to do the update via OTA, this might be your problem. Hook it up to your pc and use Kies and it should update it up to lollipop 5.1.1 for you. If this doesn't work, you might do a search on here on how to download the firmware and use an app called Odin to manually update it.
hey, bricked my samsung galaxy s8 after doing the 9.0 firmware and downloaded magisk witouth turning off encryption so i'm stuck on a screen where it tells me to use the emergancy recovery function in smart switch.
dont know what to do anymore since i cant seem to find the recovery code and i have never used smart switch.

were able to get into twrp again by flashing a cp file i had with odin (Tfw don't even know what the cp file does) but gonna try to install a custom rom even tho i want stock

isn't the latest update the 9.0 ?
anyway, did the latest update. trying to recover with the firmware files i have but think they are too old so don't know where to get the newest to use with odin since i get an error when i try to flash. rev something bootloader and so on with all files
