LineageOS errors - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Hey guys been trying to build LineageOS for Sailfish and Marlin but Everytime I go to compile I get ninja errors I fixed the memory issue for compiling AOSP code from Google compiles fine but other ROMs won't anyone know what I can do I'll post the error in pastebin if needed

Hi I'm trying to do the exact same thing!
Have you noticed that when you execute the command "breakfast sailfish" it doesn't download any drivers, kernel, ecc... for the small pixel? only for the xl version (marlin) and if you take a look at ~/android/system/device/google/sailfish you will notice that there are only 3 files.

In the readme you can find:
Device configuration for Google Pixel (sailfish).
Nothing is really here, all configuration is in device/google/marlin.

I don't know what to do as well...

Vista might be the problem.
At you in ОЕМ packages somewhere have got identical GUI (expansion *.dsm)
it was a new touch dialer
Make sure that al the folders (SYS ROM OEM) are in the right place.

Not read the post directly above yours?
so, if you remove the dialer skin will run without errors??
if yes; look for another dialer OEM folder to use.
you can find an updated one from Mr. v thread

[Q] Status 6 Gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip

I have not found any info on Atrix 2(MB865) and this error, have seen many with the error, just not the Atrix 2(MB865). Any thoughts?

After some further research, I installed "7-29_GApps_Minimal_4.4.4_signed". It was the only GApps version I could get working.

Status 6 means the updater script was written/edited improperly. Did you attempt to modify it?
No. No mods. I am far from that knowledge. Lol

Weird. Where did you find the gapps package that was giving that error? Are you sure it was status 6?

Drop box links aren't cooperating.

This one is too big for your system partition. That would explain why only the Banks minimal gapps worked.
Well, duh, that explains it. (Directed at me).How did I not see that. I could smack myself. Thank you very much. The minimal works fine, so I guess there was never a need for the bigger package.

How to extract a very weird qualcomm rom format ?

Hi guys, I have a qualcomm device with a Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 SoC. Stock rom isn't available and I wanted acces to source code to sart some stuff. So I asked the brand directly, they gave me a file as "source code" but i'm not allowed to share it.
Stock rom is not yet available for this device.
You may think i'm stupid if i can't even tell the name of device or brand but I think it doesn't matter so much as I think they didn't do so much work on the rom, it's just AOSP 5.1.1 and it runs quite smoothly.
However, when I opened the file, it was very weird, you can take a look :

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What I think they gave me instead of source code is the stock rom ready to flash with some special program (like flash tools for mediatek), my question is how to extract this !? I tried one of the system.img in Android Kitchen but no way it would do something :/ And Im pretty sure, there is no way at all to get source code from this as there are no readme or makefile...

Trying to build lineage os extract-files.sh errors "file don't exist"

Hello, i post this here since i can't post on development related forums because of the spam protection (can't post on development forums if we don't have enough posts)
my problem is that i'm trying to build lineage os for my phone (Archos helium 50 plus) from this official tutorial http://www.lineageosrom.com/2017/01/how-to-build-lineageos-rom-for-any.html the problem is that at the extract-files.sh step, i have this problem
Code:
./extract-files.sh
mkdir -p ../../../vendor/broadcom/manta/proprietary
adb pull /system/vendor/firmware/bcm2079x_firmware.ncd ../../../vendor/broadcom/manta/proprietary/bcm2079x_firmware.ncd
adb: error: remote object '/system/vendor/firmware/bcm2079x_firmware.ncd' does not exist
i've looked at the files contained in my phone from a dump of my system partition and it seems that the phone doesn't even contain a firmware directory in vendor

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
so i wonder what i should do at this step
if there is the need of things from the source code, i have the source code of the kernel of a phone with the exact same SoC (MT6735P) containing a vendor tree and device tree too but with sources instead of built drivers
I got same error.
I am searching the solution!
Same error for me with Wileyfox Spark X phone.

[Q] Question about GSI images

Hi, so I wanted to install GSI ROM, and when I went to the download page, I saw the image filename has "vndklite" on it and the other one don't have "vndklite" on it.

What are those? and what's the difference between them?
I find it online but my brain couldn't understand it.

use vndklite
basically it allows you to mess with system files after installing which fixes issues like encryption, not being able to access data in twrp etc etc
Oh, thank you!
