Hi fellas, as we all know there are so many custom recoveries available for android devices. Like CTR, Twrp, Philz, CWM, and COT. These all are custom based recoveries for android. And most of them are based on CWM recovery which stands for ClockworkMod.
Today we'll discuss about custom recoveries on Mediatek Android devices. Like MT6571/72/80/81/82/92 etc. And according to source there are three ways to have a custom recoveries. They are:
Compiling Recovery from source
Porting Recovery to your device (which is explained in this post)
Auto Port using Recovery Porting Tools (which does not work now)

Download CTR from this link: Click here. Download TWRP/COT/philZ from any mtk device with same resolutions.

Make sure you have your stock recovery.
Now download Carliv Image Kitchen from here
Extract this tool in one folder.
Put the images [carliv and stock] in recovery-resources folder of extracted carliv recovery.
Now follow the on screen process and extract/unpack stock recovery
Now open the folder of stock recovery folder and open ramdisk folder.
Copy these files from stock to carliv/other recovery:
>meta_init***.rc
>Factory**.rc
>ueventd.rc
>fstab**
Open etc folder and copy recovery.fstab file too from stock to carliv/other recovery.
Now go back and copy these files from stock to carliv/other recovery:
>kernel.img
Now open Carliv.bat file again and Repack the Carliv/other recovery.
You’re done! Now try flashing!

2.Disable your windows User Account Control UAC and run the Program.
3.If you have root access choose 1 and if not choose 2.
4.if you choose 2 then it will ask you to paste the recovery in the extracted folder.
5.After Pressing enter it will ask you the partition type which your phone have emmc or MTD
6.let the Process Complete. after this you will another folder in the extracted folder.
7.Open that folder and you will get your PORTED RECOVERY
8.Now use Smart phone flash tool (SP flash tool) to flash the ported recovery.
Now flash SuperSu.zip and get the Root access

This is the port of modded ClockWorkMod 6.0.4.4 based recovery for LAVA Iris458Q using stock kernel
Since LAVA Iris458Q , XOLO Q600 and CROSS A88 are similar (clone) devices . This recovery should work on these devices . Test at your own risk . And always have a backup before flashing anything .
NOTE: Don't use this recovery on any other device except above specified devices !!!

Installation:
First rename the file to recovery.img then for
Mobile -> copy to sd card and flash using Mobile Uncle Tools.
or
PC -> Use SP Flash to flash it to phone.

How to Install
Download the attached recovery below and place somewhere on the desktop.
Open SP flash tools and choose the scatter file then choose the recovery and flash it.
OR
Use mobile uncle tools to flash it.

I was taking a look at the 4PDA russian forum (using google translate), and I discovered a lot of nice things for Xperia C2304/C2305 that the russians have developed.

Carliv 2.2 (Worst recovery I've ever used and, unfortunately, only one available for Xperia C here in XDA)

1 Unnofficial Cyanogen Mod 12 Lollipop
Tools and Utilities
Only ones that interested me were:
1 - Resized Data Partition ZIP File. (I have this file, I'll be making a tutorial on how to install it when I get some time.)
2-Aroma File Manager (won't work in our poor recovery).
A lot of people reported the zip mentioned above resizes the partition correctly, there are even some screenshots, but Carliv Recovery doesn't mount the Sd card (in my phone at least), turning it into a useless recovery.
I could even try to post all of these here, giving due credits of course, but I need a registration in the Russian forum, which I couldn't achieve myself.
Plus, most of the links are broken, but if I had the account said above, I could request the files for the developers.
The guy who develops Philz Touch, for example, is online at the time I'm writing this thread.
